Abstract: A method and a system for providing an intuitive virtual environment to a user. The system includes a memory and a processor operatively coupled to the memory. The processor configured to determine a context associated with a virtual environment of the user. Further, the processor is configured to determine a user preference of a digital assistant in the virtual environment. The processor is also configured to determine one or more personality characteristics associated with the user, wherein the one or more personality characteristics comprises at least one of mood, behavior and demographic details. Moreover, the processor is configured to create a personalized digital assistant in the virtual environment based on the context, the user preference and the one or more personality characteristics of the user to engage with the user in the virtual environment.

Specification

The present disclosure generally relates to virtual environment and more particularly, to
a method and a system for providing an intuitive virtual environment with a personalized
digital assistant for a user.
Background of Invention
This section is intended to provide information relating to the field of the invention and
thus any approach/functionality described below should not be assumed to be qualified
as prior art merely by its inclusion in this section.
With advancement in technology, virtual reality technologies are gaining popularity.
Virtual reality (VR) technology enables simulation of a real-world by generating a twodimensional or three-dimensional image or video in a virtual environment. Such virtual
environment are new possibilities for people to socialise online. Various attempts have
been made to make such virtual environments more realistic and interactive. However,
in real-life environment, people have natural assistants to help them navigate the
ecosystem in the environment. Further, assistants are able to understand and engage
with the users based on their needs. On the contrary, conventional virtual platforms are
unable to provide such assistant to a user, therefore the user finds it challenging to fully
navigate/engage fully with the user.
The present invention aims at overcoming the drawbacks in the conventional systems
and, also provide additional advantages that enhance user’s experience of navigating
and enhancing user experience in a virtual environment.
Objects of the Invention
An object of the present invention is to provide a method and a system for implementing
an intuitive virtual environment for a user.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a method and a user device for
providing a virtual environment with a personalized and user configurable digital
assistant to help user experience the virtual environment in an efficient and effective
way.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a platform which can
understand and engage with the user based on their needs.
Summary of the Invention

The present disclosure overcomes one or more shortcomings of the prior art and
provides additional advantages discussed throughout the present disclosure. Additional
features and advantages are realized through the techniques of the present disclosure.
Other embodiments and aspects of the disclosure are described in detail herein and are
considered a part of the claimed disclosure.
In one non-limiting embodiment of the present disclosure, a method for providing an
intuitive virtual environment to a user is disclosed. The method includes determining a
context associated with a virtual environment of the user. Further, the method includes
determining a user preference of a digital assistant in the virtual environment. The
method also includes determining one or more personality characteristics associated
with the user. The one or more personality characteristics comprises at least one of
mood, behavior and/or demographic details. Moreover, the method includes creating a
personalized digital assistant in the virtual environment based on the context, the user
preference and the one or more personality characteristics of the user to engage with the
user in the virtual environment.
In one non-limiting embodiment of the present disclosure, a system for providing an
intuitive virtual environment to a user is disclosed. The system includes a memory and
a processor operatively coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to
determine a context associated with a virtual environment of the user. Further, the
processor is configured to determine a user preference of a digital assistant in the virtual
environment. The processor is also configured to determine one or more personality
characteristics associated with the user. The one or more personality characteristics
comprises at least one of mood, behavior and demographic details. Moreover, the
processor is configured to create a personalized digital assistant in the virtual
environment based on the context, the user preference and the one or more personality
characteristics of the user to engage with the user in the virtual environment.

further aspects, embodiments, and features will become apparent by reference to the
drawings and the following detailed description.

Figure 1 shows an exemplary system for providing an intuitive virtual environment to
a user in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure;
Figure 2 shows a block diagram of a server providing an intuitive virtual environment
to a user in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure; and
Figure 3 shows a method for providing an intuitive virtual environment to a user in
accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure.
The figures depict embodiments of the disclosure for purposes of illustration only. One
skilled in the art will readily recognize from the following description that alternative
embodiments of the structures and methods illustrated herein may be employed without
departing from the principles of the disclosure described herein.
Detailed Description of the Invention
The foregoing has broadly outlined the features and technical advantages of the present
disclosure in order that the detailed description of the disclosure that follows may be
better understood. It should be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the conception
and specific embodiment disclosed may be readily utilized as a basis for modifying or
designing other structures for carrying out the same purposes of the present disclosure.
The novel features which are believed to be characteristic of the disclosure, both as to
its organization and method of operation, together with further objects and advantages
will be better understood from the following description when considered in connection
with the accompanying figures. It is to be expressly understood, however, that each of
the figures is provided for the purpose of illustration and description only and is not
intended as a definition of the limits of the present disclosure.
Referring in the present document, the word "exemplary" is used herein to mean
"serving as an example, instance, or illustration." Any embodiment or implementation
of the present subject matter described herein as "exemplary" is not necessarily to be
construed as preferred or advantageous over other embodiments.
While the disclosure is susceptible to various modifications and alternative forms,
specific embodiment thereof has been shown by way of example in the drawings and

will be described in detail below. It should be understood, however that it is not intended
to limit the disclosure to the particular forms disclosed, but on the contrary, the
disclosure is to cover all modifications, equivalents, and alternatives falling within the
scope of the disclosure.
The term likes “virtual world”, or “virtual environment” or “virtual platform” may be
used interchangeably throughout the description.
Disclosed herein is a technique for providing an intuitive virtual environment to a user.
The technique includes determining a context associated with a virtual environment of
the user. The context may indicate a type of the virtual environment. The technique also
includes determining a user preference of a digital assistant in the virtual environment.
The user preference may be determined based on one or more inputs from the user or
one or more user parameters such as user chat history, user profile, and so forth. The
technique further includes determining one or more personality characteristics
associated with the user. The one or more personality characteristics comprises at least
one of mood, behaviour and/or demographic details. The demographic details may
include information such as age, sex, location, ethnicity, and so forth. Thereafter, the
technique includes creating a personalized digital assistant in the virtual environment
based on the context, the user preference and the one or more personality characteristics
of the user to understand their needs and suitably engage with the user in the virtual
environment. Therefore, by providing a personalized digital assistant, the technique may
provide the intuitive virtual environment with enhanced user experience.
Figure 1 shows an exemplary system 100 for providing an intuitive virtual environment
to a user in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. It must be
understood to a person skilled in art that the present invention may also be implemented
in various environments, other than as shown in Fig. 1.
The system 100 includes a user device 102 and a server 104 communicably coupled to
the user device 102 via a network 106. Example of the network 106 may include, but
not limited to, the Internet, a Wide Area Network (WAN), a Local Area Network
(LAN), or any combination thereof.
The user device 102 may be configured to provide a user interface to a user to access a
virtual environment provided by the system 100, in accordance with an embodiment of
present disclosure. The user device 102 may include any mobile computing or

communication device, such as, but not limited to, a notebook computer, a personal
digital assistant (PDA), a mobile phone, a smartphone, a laptop, a tablet or any similar
class of mobile computing device with sufficient processing, communication, and
audio/video recording and playback capabilities.
The user device 102 may include any suitable components of a mobile communication
and/computing device to perform desired operations of the user device 102.
In an exemplary embodiment, the user device 102 may enable the user to access and
experience the virtual environment. The user device 102 may also be configured to
receive one or more inputs from the user. The one or more inputs may include, but not
limited to, a user request for a digital assistant, user preferences for the digital assistant,
user purpose for the digital assistant and one or more modification parameters for the
modification of the digital assistant. The user device 102 may also be configured to
transmit the received one or more inputs to the server 104 via the network 106.
The server 104 may be configured to provide one or more virtual environments to the
user. In some embodiments, the server 104 may be configured to determine a virtual
environment currently associated with the user. The server 104 may also be configured
to determine a context of the virtual environment. Further, the server 104 may be
configured to receive the one or more user inputs from the user device 102. In an
exemplary embodiment, the server 104 may be configured to provide an intuitive virtual
environment including a personalized digital assistant generated based on the
determined context and the one or more parameters such as user inputs, user profile,
user preference and/or user chat history. In some embodiments, the information included
in the one or more inputs from the user may be automatically retrieved or determined
by the server 102.
Embodiment as discussed above are exemplary in nature, and embodiments either
covers or intended to cover any functionality of the server 104 being performed by the
user device 102 as per the requirement.
Figure 2 shows a block diagram of a server 200 required for providing an intuitive
virtual environment to a user in accordance with an embodiment of the present
disclosure. The server 200 may be same as the server 104 (as illustrated in Fig. 1). The
server 200 includes a transceiver 202, a memory 204 and a processor 206, operatively
coupled to each other.

The transceiver 202 may be configured to receive and transmit data from and to the user
device 102 (shown in Fig. 1). The transceiver 202 may include any suitable
communication means such as, but not limited to, antennas, modulators, demodulators
and so forth. The memory 204 may be configured to store data received from the user
device 102. In some embodiments, the memory 204 may also be configured to store
information required to perform one or more functionality of the processor 206. The
memory 206 may include random-access memory (RAM), read-only memory (ROM),
a hard disk, or any other type of memory storage device.

We Claim:
1. A method for providing an intuitive virtual environment to a user comprising:
determining a context associated with a virtual environment of the user;
determining a user preference of a digital assistant in the virtual environment;
determining one or more personality characteristics associated with the user,
wherein the one or more personality characteristics comprises at least one of mood,
behavior and demographic details; and
creating a personalized digital assistant in the virtual environment is based on
the context, the user preference and the one or more personality characteristics of the
user to engage with the user in the virtual environment.
2. The method as claimed in claim 1, further comprising:
receiving one or more configuration parameters from the user as an input; and
updating the personalized digital assistant based on the one or more
configuration parameters,
wherein the one or more configuration parameters comprises at least one of skill
level, behavior, theme, and ethnicity of the virtual assistant.
3. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the demographic details comprises
at least one of age, race, ethnicity, gender, and location.
4. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the personalized digital assistant is
configured to understand and engage with the user to perform human-like activities
comprises one or more of talk, walk, chat, play, emote, sing, dance, read, write.
5. The method as claimed in 1, wherein creating the personalized assistant in the
virtual environment, further based on one or more of
a. users browsing history;
b. one or more chat history with one or more users;
c. past preferences;
d. number of persons joining the virtual environment;
e. time including day, month, year, time of the day, occasion; and
f. place, such as workplace, home, outdoor, friends place.
6. A system for providing an intuitive virtual environment to a user comprising:
a memory;

a processor operatively coupled to the memory, the processor configured to:
determine a context associated with a virtual environment of the user;
determine a user preference of a digital assistant in the virtual environment;
determine one or more personality characteristics associated with the user,
wherein the one or more personality characteristics comprises at least one of mood,
behavior and demographic details; and
create a personalized digital assistant in the virtual environment based on the
context, the user preference and the one or more personality characteristics of the user
to engage with the user in the virtual environment.
7. The system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the processor is further configured
to:
receive one or more configuration parameters from the user as an input; and
update the personalized digital assistant based on the one or more configuration
parameters,
wherein the one or more configuration parameters comprises at least one of skill
level, behavior, theme, and ethnicity of the virtual assistant.
8. The system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the demographic details comprises at
least one of age, race, ethnicity, gender, and location.
9. The system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the personalized digital assistant is
configured to understand and engage with the user to perform human-like activities
comprises one or more of talk, walk, chat, play, emote, sing, dance, read and write.
10. The system as claimed in 6, wherein the processor is configured to create the
personalized assistant in the virtual environment, further based on one or more of
a. users browsing history;
b. one or more chat history with one or more users;
c. past preferences;
d. number of persons joining the virtual environment;
e. time including day, month, year, time of the day, occasion; and
f. place, such as workplace, home, outdoor, friends place.
