[0018] The present invention discloses a method and system that enables non-subscribed users to secure and utilize services or facilities which are typically delivered by a service-provider to a subscribed user only.
[0019] Service providers as per the above includes, but are not limited to, a hotel, a residence, a guest house, a hostel, a boarding house, a bungalow, an apartment, a building, a housing society having two or more buildings and the like.
[0020] Services or amenities or facilities as per the above include, but are not limited to, swimming pools, gymnasiums, spa, private beaches, cabanas, lounges, conference rooms, restaurants, bars, theatre rooms, sports facilities such as football, basketball, tennis, squash, badminton, table tennis, billiards, golf, and any other facilities which are otherwise exclusively reserved for the subscribed users.
[0021] Subscribed users as per the above include, but are not limited to, in-house guests of service provider, membership holders of service provider, and the like.
[0022] Non-sub scribed users as per the above include, but are not limited to, a local population, domestic and international tourists, and the like.
[0023] The main aspect of the present invention is to provide a method and system that generates a list of services offered by the service provider and displays it to the non-
subscribed user on an electronic user device, based on a request or a simple user query sent by the non-sub scribed user.
[0024] Figure 1 explains said method and illustrates said system (100), which comprises a set of modules, databases and interface that function in conjunction so as to enable the non-subscribed users to explore and select at least one of, but not limited to, a preferred location, a preferred service provider, a preferred amenity, preferred days of use of selected amenity, and preferred number of passes, as per their choice.
[0025] The databases in the system (100) include, but are not limited to, a non-sub scribed user's database (102) and a service provider's database (104). The modules in the system include, but are not limited to, a centralized module (106), a listing generator module (108), an administrative control panel module (110), receiving module (112) and a validation module (114).
[0026] The non-sub scribed user's database (102), stores the details of every non-subscribed user. The service provider's database (104), stores the details of every service provider. The non-sub scribed user's database and the service provider's database are maintained by the centralized module (106). Maintenance of details may include, but not limited to, modification, addition, deletion or updation of data.
[0027] The centralized module (106) in the system (100) is the central administrative module that communicates and maintains the entire system.
[0028] The administrative control panel module (110) in the system (100) is the exclusive administrative module of each service provider and remains in direct or indirect communicative contact with the centralized module (106). One of the main functions of the administrative control panel module (110) is to monitor and control the reservation of services of each service provider on a real-time basis. This feature of the administrative control panel module (110) is known as crowd control feature.
[0029] The non-sub scribed user or simply a user, sends an initial query or request, which includes at least one of the preferred locations, service providers, amenities or dates of use. This request is sent by the user to the centralized module (106), which then communicates with the listing generator module (108). The listing generator module (108) functions to
generate a list of results that are compatible with the user's query or request, whether initial or preferred.
[0030] Pursuant to receiving the command from the centralized module (106), the listing generator module (108) communicates with the administrative control panel modules (110) of the service providers that correspond to the query or request of the user. The administrative control panel modules (110), using the crowd control feature, sends back the result for the query or request to the listing generator module (108), which then displays said result to the user.
[0031] After seeing the result displayed by the listing generator module (108), the user is then required to input the remaining headers in the query or request previously sent, if there were any remaining, out of the requisite headers of location, service provider, amenity and date of use, as per the user's preference and choice. The user is also required to choose the number of passes in the preferred query.
[0032] For optimal performance of the crowd-control feature, the selection of number of passes is controlled by the administrative control panel modules (110). For further enhancement of the crowd-control feature, users can choose to use additional facilities of service providers only after utilization or expiration of the already confirmed facility.
[0033] Once the preferred query is input by the user, the centralized module (106) redirects the user to the administrative control panel module (110) of the selected service provider. The administrative control panel module (110) then guides the user to the receiving module (112) to enable the user to make the appropriate payment.
[0034] As per alternate embodiments of the present invention, payment by the user can be done online or via card or cash on the service provider's premises.
[0035] Regardless of the payment mode, once the user confirms the amenity or facility, the service provider, the date of use and the number of passes, the user is given a confirmatory booking verification code and/or a One Time Password (OTP) via email and/or SMS. This verification code is also stored in the validation module (114).
[0036] When the non-subscribed user comes to the service provider's premises on the selected date to exploit the selected amenity, the administrative control panel module (110)
of the service provider authenticates the user by comparing the booking verification code provided by the non-sub scribed user with the booking verification code stored in the validation module (114).
[0037] The non-sub scribed user is permitted to exploit the selected amenity once the booking verification codes are successfully matched and due authentication of the non-subscribed user is completed.
[0038] For the non-subscribed user, the enablement of the method and system as per the present invention is through, but is not limited to, a platform website or a mobile application. A service facilities' list display interface is employed in the present invention to provide a graphical user interface to the non-subscribed users for listing and selecting amenities based on the preferences.
[0039] While the present invention has been described with reference to one or more preferred aspects, which aspects have been set forth in considerable detail for the purposes of making a complete disclosure of the invention, such aspects are merely exemplary and are not intended to be limiting or represent an exhaustive enumeration of all aspects of the invention. The scope of the invention, therefore, shall be defined solely by the following claims. Further, it will be apparent to those of skill in the art that numerous changes may be made in such details without departing from the principles of the invention.
