A Method For Optimization Of Query Plans With Bind Parameters And A System Thereof

Abstract: The method and corresponding system of the present invention is for improving the efficiency of plan generation of SQL queries having bind values. In the instant invention drawbacks of methods used earlier are eliminated by creation of new query execution plan strategy. A HINT of the bind value selectivity can be provided that will reduce extra plan generation and cost of selecting the plan can also be avoided.
