A Method Of An Improved Mechanical Vibration Exciter For Evaluation Of Modal Characteristics Of Specimen
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and improved system of mechanical vibration exciter providing unidirectional harmonic motion in vertical, horizontal and axial direction to the testing specimen for evaluation of modal characteristics of support structures and, the system comprises of a plurality of rotatable unbalanced unit placed parallely, and having at least one unbalanced element, a rotary drive (20) to generate rotary motion, a flexible shaft (10) to transfer rotary motion from the drive to shaft (02), a house (01) with mounting faces (21, 22), at least two primary shafts (02, 03) having gears (06, 07), at least two secondary shaft (04, 05) having gears (08, 09), at least four bearing pairs (11, 12, 13, 14), at least two rotating discs (15, 16) and at least two unbalanced weights (17 and 18).
