Abstract: The present invention provides a novel apparatus of quick replacement die for Press brake machine that reduces the die changing time in Press brake machine for pressing the duct, Tub plate & Damper blade used in Air preheater & Damper required for Thermal Power plant. The Quick Replacement Die (4) has been introduced and the same was made accordingly to accommodate in the press brake machine of Die (3). Figure 5
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to Press brake machine and particularly relates to Quick replacement die in Press brake machine to press duct, damper blade, Tub plate and Box materials with quick change of die.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Air Preheater is an important auxiliary equipment in the modern utility, industrial, & process boilers. It is a heat exchanger to recover the heat energy from the hot flue gas, which otherwise would have gone unutilized and transfer the same to the incoming air for further utilization in the boilers / process.
Dampers are used in the thermal power plant for isolation of equipment during online maintenance and to control the flow of air.
For fabrication of Damper & Air Preheater, the Blades and Ducts are used respectively. To press the damper blade and ducts Press brake machine is used. In Press brake machine for pressing the materials thickness 10mm to 24 mm Existing die (3) is used and for pressing the materials thickness 1mm to 9 mm Existing die (2) is used.
For manufacture various thickness materials frequent changes are required for the die in the press brake machine, the clamp allen bolt have to removed. Using the crane the die has to be changed. And also, it takes more time for changing the die. To overcome the above problems, it is developed a new Quick replacement die (4), in this, usage of crane is eliminated and also, die changing time is reduced.
OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION
♦ An object of the present invention is to develop novel apparatus of quick replacement die for Press brake machine that reduces the setup time of the Press brake machine.
♦ Another object of the invention is to develop novel apparatus of quick replacement die for Press brake machine that enhances the productivity of the Press brake process.
♦ Yet another object of the invention is to develop novel apparatus of quick replacement die for Press brake machine that enhances the safety of the die changing process
♦ Further object of the invention is to develop novel apparatus of quick replacement die for Press brake machine that reduces the manpower for die changing process
♦ Still further object of the invention is to develop novel apparatus of quick replacement die for Press brake machine that eliminates the usage of Crane for die changing process
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention provides a novel apparatus of quick replacement die for Press brake machine that reduces the die changing time in Press brake machine for pressing the duct, Tub plate & Damper blade used in Air preheater & Damper required for Thermal Power plant. The Quick Replacement Die (4) has been introduced and the same was made accordingly to accommodate in the press brake machine of Die (3).

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
Press brake machine used for Pressing the duct, tub plate and damper blade. The press brake consists of Punch (1) and two die (Existing die (2) & Existing die (3)). The die is hold by clamp and allen bolt as shown in fig 1.
For pressing the damper blade and tub plate the existing die (3) is used. Damper blade and the tub plates are in different thickness 10 mm to 12 mm. To manufacture the damper the above damper blades are used. To press the duct, materials thickness 1mm to 9mm existing die (2) is used.
For pressing the damper blade, Existing die (3) has to be used and to press the ducts, the Existing die (2) has to be used. The process of the changing the die is called die setting process. For changing the die, we have to remove the clamp and allen bolt using spanner and allen key. Using the top punch (1) power lift the Existing die (2) by chain provided on both side of the machine. Place the wooden block below the Existing die (2) for lifting purpose. Using the crane, lift the Existing die (2) and place in appropriate place. Then take Existing die (3) and place on machine bed and tight the clamp and allen bolt. And also, it takes more time for die changing. To Over come this problem, we have developed a new quick replacement die (4) shown in fig-4 instead of Existing Die (2).
In the present invention, the Existing Die (3) is placed permanently on Machine bed. The quick replacement die was accordingly to accommodate on Existing die (3) itself. For pressing the damper blade, Existing die (3) is used and for pressing the duct, lift quick replacement die (4) placed on the Existing die (3) and press the duct materials. The above changing of quick replacement die (4) can be done manually and there by the usage of crane may be eliminated.
WE CLAIM
1. A method of forming damper blade as well as duct in a press brake machine
comprising:
- bringing the damper blade material where thickness ranging from 10mm to
12mm between the combination of die (3) and punch (1) and performing the forming operation of all damper blade item;
- lifting and placing the developed die (4) over the existing die (3) such that the bottom surface of the developed die (4) which is replica of the top surface of the existing die (3), exactly sitting over the existing die (3);
- performing the forming operation for the duct material having thickness ranging from 1mm to 9mm thus fulfilling the job requirement which necessitate a combination of die (3) and (4) and punches (01) eliminating the unnecessary time for loading and unloading for job changes as well as replacing the use of die (2).
2. A quick replacement die (4) for a method as claimed in claim 1 which can be
used in combination with die (3) for making various components.
