The following specification particularly describes the invention.

Field of the Invention
The disclosure relates to effective communication between a retailer and one or more manufacturers for at least one merchandise and, more particularly, to merchandise transactions associated with the manufacturer to facilitate the transaction communication.

Background of the Invention
The Internet and World Wide Web are especially conducive to conducting electronic commerce. Many Web servers and applications have been developed through which vendors can advertise and sell product. The products can include items that are delivered electronically to the user over the Internet and items that are delivered through conventional distribution channels (e.g., a shipping agent). A server computer system may provide an electronic version of a catalog that lists the items that are available. For example, a user/purchaser/retailer may browse through the catalog using a browser and select various items to purchase from the manufacturer. In a retailer/manufacturer scenario, retailer is always restricted or limited what the manufacturer is offering in the market or on the web. It’s generally a one way communication where the retailer has to purchase only those products what the manufacturer is ready to offer.
For example, if a retailer wants to buy a product, the retailer will not know where to buy it from for the best price? The retailer may not know who is best. The retailer will not know where one will get that product for cheap price.
Therefore, which will become apparent to those skilled in the art upon reading and understanding the specification, there is a need in the art for a method and system for facilitating a communication between a retailer and one or more manufacturer for at least one merchandise associated with the manufacturer and also making information exchange easier using a facilitation system via Internet networks or via mobile network communication efficiently.

For the purpose of clarity, technical material that is known in the technical fields related to the invention has not been described in detail so that the invention is not unnecessarily obscured.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, it is appreciated that throughout the description, discussions utilizing terms such as “processing” or “computing” or “calculating” or “determining” or “displaying” or the like, refer to the action and processes of a data processing system, or similar electronic computing device, that manipulates and transforms data represented as physical (electronic) quantities within the computer system's registers and memories into other data similarly represented as physical quantities within the computer system memories or registers or other such information storage, transmission or display devices.
The algorithms and displays with the applications described herein are not inherently related to any particular computer or other apparatus. Various general-purpose systems may be used with programs in accordance with the teachings herein, or it may prove convenient to construct more specialized apparatus to perform the required machine-implemented method operations. The required structure for a variety of these systems will appear from the description below. In addition, embodiments of the present invention are not described with reference to any particular programming language. It will be appreciated that a variety of programming languages may be used to implement the teachings of embodiments of the invention as described herein.
An embodiment of the invention may be implemented as a method or as a machine readable non-transitory storage medium that stores executable instructions that, when executed by a data processing system, causes the system to perform a method. An apparatus, such as a data processing system, can also be an embodiment of the invention. Other features of the present invention will be apparent from the accompanying drawings and from the detailed description which follows.
The term “invention” and the like mean “the one or more inventions disclosed in this application”, unless expressly specified otherwise.
The terms “an aspect”, “an embodiment”, “embodiment”, “embodiments”, “the embodiment”, “the embodiments”, “one or more embodiments”, “some embodiments”, “certain embodiments”, “one embodiment”, “another embodiment” and the like mean “one or more (but not all) embodiments of the disclosed invention(s)”, unless expressly specified otherwise.
The term “variation” of an invention means an embodiment of the invention, unless expressly specified otherwise.
The term “device” and “mobile device” refer herein to any personal digital assistants, Smart phones, other cell phones, tablets and the like.
A reference to “another embodiment” or “another aspect” in describing an embodiment does not imply that the referenced embodiment is mutually exclusive with another embodiment (e.g., an embodiment described before the referenced embodiment), unless expressly specified otherwise.
The terms “including”, “comprising” and variations thereof mean “including but not limited to”, unless expressly specified otherwise.
The terms “a”, “an” and “the” mean “one or more”, unless expressly specified otherwise.
The term “plurality” means “two or more”, unless expressly specified otherwise.
The term “herein” means “in the present application, including anything which may be incorporated by reference”, unless expressly specified otherwise.
The term “whereby” is used herein only to precede a clause or other set of words that express only the intended result, objective or consequence of something that is previously and explicitly recited. Thus, when the term “whereby” is used in a claim, the clause or other words that the term “whereby” modifies do not establish specific further limitations of the claim or otherwise restricts the meaning or scope of the claim.
The term “e.g.” and like terms mean “for example”, and thus does not limit the term or phrase it explains. For example, in a sentence “the computer sends data (e.g., instructions, a data structure) over the Internet”, the term “e.g.” explains that “instructions” are an example of “data” that the computer may send over the Internet, and also explains that “a data structure” is an example of “data” that the computer may send over the Internet. However, both “instructions” and “a data structure” are merely examples of “data”, and other things besides “instructions” and “a data structure” can be “data”.
The term “respective” and like terms mean “taken individually”. Thus if two or more things have “respective” characteristics, then each such thing has its own characteristic, and these characteristics can be different from each other but need not be. For example, the phrase “each of two machines has a respective function” means that the first such machine has a function and the second such machine has a function as well. The function of the first machine may or may not be the same as the function of the second machine.
The term “i.e.” and like terms mean “that is”, and thus limits the term or phrase it explains. For example, in the sentence “the computer sends data (i.e., instructions) over the Internet”, the term “i.e.” explains that “instructions” are the “data” that the computer sends over the Internet.
Any given numerical range shall include whole and fractions of numbers within the range. For example, the range “1 to 10” shall be interpreted to specifically include whole numbers between 1 and 10 (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, . . . 9) and non-whole numbers (e.g. 1.1, 1.2, . . . 1.9).
Where two or more terms or phrases are synonymous (e.g., because of an explicit statement that the terms or phrases are synonymous), instances of one such term/phrase does not mean instances of another such term/phrase must have a different meaning. For example, where a statement renders the meaning of “including” to be synonymous with “including but not limited to”, the mere usage of the phrase “including but not limited to” does not mean that the term “including” means something other than “including but not limited to”.
Neither the Title (set forth at the beginning of the first page of the present application) nor is the Abstract (set forth at the end of the present application) to be taken as limiting in any way as the scope of the disclosed invention. The title of the present application and headings of sections provided in the present application are for convenience only, and are not to be taken as limiting the disclosure in any way.
Figure 1 shows a block diagram of a system 100 pursuant to embodiments of the present invention. The system generally includes one or more retailers 110, one or more manufacturers 120 and a facilitator system 140. The retailers and the manufacturers are in communication with the facilitator system 140 via a network 130. The network may be the Internet, an intranet, or an extranet, for example. The network may also be any form of non-electronic system, for example paper-based documentation system. Also the network may be a mobile service network. An extranet may be a private network connection provided exclusively among two or more parties such as dealers, wholesalers, resellers, or suppliers.
The manufacturers may submit or upload a product using the facilitator system via the network. Similarly, the retailers may also submit a product request to the facilitator system via the network. The product may include a plurality of features which is offered by the manufacturer to the retailers subject to sell or offer or for negotiation. Although any combination of goods and/or services may be the subject of the sell or offer or negotiation, the examples given herein assume that only goods are the subject of sell or offer or negotiation merely for purposes of clarity. The plurality of attributes related to the product specified preferably includes a price as well as other attributes of the product but not limited to at least one of the units of weight, price, age, density, time, delay, jitter, etc.
The attributes specified optionally include various quality characteristics of the goods, the time and location of delivery, the quantity, and/or a nominal or baseline price. For example, in the case of a semiconductor chip, quality characteristics such as feature size, speed, power consumption, operating temperature, expected life, warranty, and/or other quality characteristics may be specified by the manufacturer to the retailers.
The facilitator system manages the overall ongoing multilateral communication among the manufacturer and the retailers. At any point in time, the multilateral negotiations by way of sell or offer is managed by the facilitator system may include one or more bilateral negotiations and/or one or more multilateral negotiations. A bilateral negotiation is a one-to-one negotiation between one manufacturer and one retailer. A multilateral negotiation can be one-to-many, i.e., one retailer and multiple manufacturer or one manufacturer and multiple retailers, or many-to-many, i.e., multiple retailers and multiple manufacturer. A multilateral negotiation by way of sell or offer generally includes one or more one-to-one and/or one-to many negotiations each involving the same or similar goods.
The facilitator system receives the multi-attributes of the product from the manufacturer and retailer, facilitates the communication among the manufacturer and retailer, and selectively discloses information regarding the negotiation to the manufacturer and retailer, depending upon their respective status in the communication. The various communication of manufacturer and retailer will be explained and will become apparent in light of subsequent discussion. The functions and methodologies for the facilitator system will also be described in more detail.
As shown in FIG. 1, there may be one or more retailers 110 and there may one or more manufacturer 120. Further, the number of retailer need not equal the number of manufacturer. For purposes of discussion and clarity only, a retailer refers to a purchasing party and its associated set of offers for a given multilateral negotiation. Similarly, a manufacturer refers to a selling party and a single set of offers for the given multilateral negotiation. Although any of the purchasing and selling parties may optionally also participate in other multilateral negotiations with other sets of offers associated therewith, the terms “retailer” and “manufacturer” do not refer to those sets of offers associated with other multilateral negotiations. In other words, a retailer and a manufacturer are specific to a given multilateral negotiation. Further, the retailer may also include consumer of resource like person, telecom equipment, etc. and manufacturer includes supplier of resources like person, telecom equipment, power grid, multiple sources of electric power, etc.
Figure 2 shows a flow chart of a method of facilitating a communication between a retailer and at least one manufacturer for at least one merchandise, the respective merchandise of which is associated with the manufacturer, according to one embodiment of the present invention.
