A Microneedle
Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: “A MICRONEEDLE” Present disclosure discloses a microneedle (10). The microneedle (10) includes a body (6) defined by a base (2) and a wall (8) extending away from a periphery of the base (2). The wall (8) is structured to converge defining an apex (4) at a first predetermined length from the base (2) and being coated with a plurality of particles (30). Further, the microneedle (10) includes a plurality of electrodes (22) disposed on the wall (8) of the body (6), and structured to be actuated upon receiving an electrical signal to vibrate the body (6) at a predetermined frequency with a threshold amplitude to selectively release a predetermined amount of the plurality of particles (30) from the wall (8). This enables partial release of the plurality of particles (30) from the microneedle (10), thereby mitigating unnecessary release of entire volume of the plurality of particles (30) from the microneedle (10).
