This present invention belong; to the field of Pneumatics which uses air as its power source for cutting vegetables. We chose pneumatics instead of hydraulics because Pneumatics are less expensive and used for lov: pressure application. And it gives ultimate flexibility, reliability, and efficiency. Pneumatic* are easy to handle and easy to use. Pneumatic systems are used in all types of assembly anr'. fabrication applications. They can be installed to move items on assembly lines and in maintenance facilities to move items. Pneumatics can also be used with heavy machinery like drill.',, due to the repetitive action that pneumatics supply.
Background of Invention
Mostly hydraulic system is ij ed over pneumatics. It is found that the constructional cost of hydraulic system is high and': me consumed by the hydraulics is more. Hence in order to reduce the cost and time we preji :r pneumatic system. Manual cutting of vegetable is a tedious process in hostels of educational institution, catering services and even in restaurant. It requires more number skilled worker;. Even though we do have number of skilled workers it is very difficult to finish the work on time. The number of vegetables to cut is always higher than we assume. Because due to som< technical difficulties like contamination, time constrain etc. Make it difficult for anyone who 1-andles the job.That we apply the concept of pneumatics
in this work. A device to cut vegetab ■ :s in easy & fast way.

1. With the present setup, we cji reduce the labour cost for cutting vegetable. Also we can reduce the time for cutting vegetable.
2. With this arrangement, we csr acheive quicker response for cutting vegetable hence it can be used for cutting vegefc'-Me in bulk production .
3. The present invention require; only less power for cutting vegetable and also it requires less maintenace.

Detailed description of the invention
The mechanism consists of ti :ee main parts which are double acting cylinder 2 (Fig. 2), connectors 1 (Fig. 2), and cutter 4 ( Fig. 2). The design of these three parts primarily focuses to achieve better performance. Firstly, the air from compressor enters the FRL unit which is Filter, regulator, and lubricator (FRL1, compressed air systems are used to deliver clean air, at a fixed pressure, and lubricated (if n-= ;ded) to ensure proper pneumatic component operation and increase their operation lifetime. The air supplied by compressors is often contaminated, over pressurized, and non-lubricated i neaning that an FRL unit is required to prevent damage to equipment and passes through the* direction control valve. Here we use 5/2 lever operated directional control valve. When the <:\ enters the circuits the directional control valve shift to first position, it moves to the piston end of the cylinder and the cylinder is actuated. The vegetable is placed on the rear end of- he cylinder. Once the cylinder is actuated the piston end of the rod pushes the vegetable along'/ ie path. The cutter is placed to the rod end of the cylinder. On actuating it the piston reciprocate;, this reciprocating motion helps in cutting the vegetable. Pneumatic double-acting cylinders provide output force in both the extending and retracting directions by alternating the ports at jach end. On triggering the valve, it shifts the posi'ion to the left-hand side. Now the air flows from DCV to the rod end of the cylinder.
