Abstract: The hydraulic dump body raising system has been modified and Interlocking has been provided with the pneumatic brake circuit of the dumper, so that the movement is restricted in dump raised condition. OEM has been modified for Incorporation in the equipment.
The present invention relates to a modified brake device of dumper.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Occasionally due to human error or unmindful movement of human being or
even sometimes with full consciousness neglects the safety actor or failure of the
precautionary measure by the driver causes many cases of unavoldable incident
due to movement of machine In dumper body during Its upward raised condition.
In order to avoid such unwaned causes of accident an Idea evolved in mind to
develop a brake system and after long envisages, a modification was done in the
brake system connecting It to the dump body. The movement of dumper will be
automatically restricted till the dump body Is placed in Its own position.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
It is therefore, an object of the present Invention to propose a modified brake
device of dumper body which eliminates the disadvantages of existing state of
arts.
Another object of the present Invention is to propose a modified brake device of
dumper body which is more safety and preventing many mining accident due to
operator's error.
A further object of the present Invention Is to propose a modified brake device of
dumper body which is economic In manufacturing.
A Still further object of the present Invention Is to propose a modified brake
device of dumper body which is eco-friendly.
An yet further object of the present Invention is to propose a modified brake
device of dumper body which saves surrounding Infrastructures.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The hydraulic dump body raising system has been modified and Interlocking has
been provided with the pneumatic brake circuit of the dumper, so that the
movement is restricted in dump raised condition. OEM has been modified for
Incorporation in the equipment.
As per OEM main air flows through hand controlled valve (H.C.valve) to double
check valve to relay valve of the dumper.
There by Installing a "T-Joint" from where the air flow has been divided into two
paths. When the system Is In 'OFF' condition, the air flows In Its normal condition
and braking takes place when applied. But once the system is activated, the air
flows through a mechanical link (H.C. valve) connected by a piston of air cylinder
mounted over the cabin. Once the dump body is raised air flows through double
check valve following Its normal route to relay valve. This results In braking
effect on all the wheels. Until dump body Is lowered to its normal position the
system will not permit the motion.

(Before modification)

Fig-3 shows a line diagram of circuit showing movement of dumper restricted
in dump body raised condition due to application of Brakes (As per
modification)
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE
INVENTION
As shown in Fig-2, Installation of an additional 'T' joint (8A) in the main air line
(8) was done. Through this T' joint (8A) one air line is connected to second 'T'
joint (5) and the other air line is connected to first H.C. valve (10). The air
passes to 'T' joint (5) is again sub-divided into two parts. One air line passes to a
pressure gauge (4) and other air line passes to second H.C. valve (3). When the
second hand control valve remains open condition (2), the air passes to a 3rd
H.C. valve (15) and remain in the air pressure in locked condition. When the
dump body is in raised condition the air actuator valve (14) pushes the lever of
3rd H.C. valve (15) upward which in turn releases the air of 3rd H.C. valve and
allows the air to pass downward along the line (17) and air passed to second
Double check valve (11). The outgoing air from second double check valve (11)
passes to a first double check valve (9) and other air line connected to 1rd Hand
control valve (10) which remain in lock condition (7). From 1rd Double check
valve (9) air passes to main relay valve which in turn applied brake automatically
and will not release the brake until the dump body rests to its original position.
The flexible re-inforcement steel pipes and steel pipes as used for air passage at
a pressure of 6-8 kg/cm2.
WE CLAIM
1. A modified brake device of dumper to prevent accident due to operator's
error and damaging of surrounding infrastructure comprises:
- installation of a Double check valve through T' joint (8A) in main air line
(8);
- one way of air passes to a 'T' joint (5) from 'T' joint (8A);
- air from 'T' joint (5) passes to a 1st hand control valve (3) and 2nd line of
air passes to air pressure gauge (4);
- air from 1st control valve (3) passes to a 3rd hand control valve (15) when
the operating system is 'on' (2) condition;
- 3rd hand control valve (15) is in 'on' position when dump body is in 'raised'
condition;
- when the dump body is in raised condition air from 3rd H.C. valve (15)
passes through air line (17) to 2nd double check valve (11) which thrust
the air to pass to a 1rd double check valve (9) through which air passes to
relay valve which in turn applied brake automatically and will not release
brake until the dump body rests to its original position.
2. The brake device of dump body as claimed in claim 1, wherein steel re-
inforce flexible pipe and steel pipes are used in air line.
3. The brake device of dump body as claimed in claim 1, wherein 'T' joints
are made of steel material.
4. The brake device of dump body as claimed in claim 1, wherein air
pressure maintained at 6-8 kg/cm2
Dated this 24th day of September 2008.
The hydraulic dump body raising system has been modified and Interlocking has been provided with the pneumatic brake circuit of the dumper, so that the movement is restricted in dump raised condition. OEM has been modified for
Incorporation in the equipment.
