[0038] The present subject matter is described herein relates to modular cooler assembly. The present subject matter, in particular, relates to a modular cooler assembly to be assembled at the user’s place and a single box containing all components of the modular cooler which can be assembled at the user’s place by the user following the user manual.
[0039] At initial stage, the cooler parts are packed in a single box 200 (as shown in figure 3) which occupies less space and area.
[0040] Referring to figure 1, the Modular Cooler assembly 100 comprising a cuboidal shape tank 102, a front frame 101, two side pillars 103, 104, a cuboidal shape top cover 105, and pair of side grills 106, and a back grill 107. Figure 1 illustrates the assembled view of the modular cooler 100.
[0041] Fig. 2a-2f illustrates assembly process of the modular cooler by joining each component. As shown in fig. 3, all components of the modular cooler come in a single box 200. It is easy to transport and store the single box 200.
[0042] The single box 200 (as shown in fig. 3) occupies less space as compared to the modular cooler 100 in assembled state as shown in fig. 1. To assemble the modular cooler, the user unboxes the single box 200 and take out all components from the single box 200.
[0043] Referring to Fig. 2a, to assemble the modular cooler 100, the cuboidal shape top cover 105 has a water distribution pipe clamp 105a at closed surface to receive the water hose 105b. The water hose 105b is in U shape or in star shape to distribute sucked water from the cuboidal shape tank 102 in three directions. The water distribution pipe clamp 105a is assembled to the cuboidal top cover 105 with the designated fastener. Once the water distribution pipe clamp 105a is secured to the cuboidal top cover 105, the water distribution pipe 105b is assembled to the cuboidal top cover 105 by press fitting the water distribution pipe 105b into the water distribution pipe clamp 105a. The cuboidal shape top cover 105 with one face open defines a plurality of mounting holes 105c at each side and corner to receive a plurality of fasteners.
[0044] Referring to the figure 2b, the fan unit 101a is pulled out from the box 200 and assembled. The cooler motor 101b is unbolted from the front frame motor frame 101c. The fan unit 101a is then press fitted to cooler motor 101b. The sub-assembly of the fan unit 101a and the cooler motor 101b is then securely assembled to the front frame motor frame 101c with the designated fasteners.
[0045] The front frame 101 includes a plurality of mounting holes at lower side complementary to the plurality of mounting holes 102b of the cuboidal tank 102 and a plurality of mounting holes at upper side complementary to the plurality of mounting holes 105. The front frame 101 is configured to assembled with the cuboidal shape tank 102 at lower side and with the cuboidal shape top cover 105 at upper side and joined by fasteners.
[0046] The cuboidal shape tank 102 is open at upper end to receive all parts of the modular cooler 100 (it can be interchangeably referred as cooler assembly 100). The cuboidal shape tank 102 has provision of mounting the cooler components by means of mounting holes, similar matching holes are provided in all the respective components of the cooler assembly or modular cooler. The cuboidal shape tank 102 defines a plurality of mounting holes 102b at edge of the open face 102a to receive all other components and all components are mounted with the cuboidal shape tank 102 by means of fasteners, such as nut and bolt.
[0047] Referring to figure 2c side pillar 103 is assembled over the cuboidal shape tank 102, by aligning the mounting holes in both the members’ with respect to each other. The side pillars 103, 104 define channel shape structure, preferably U shape channel where mounting holes 103a, 103b, 104a, 104b are provided on two sides. The side pillars 103, 104 mounted on the two sides of the cuboidal shape tank 102 by means of fasteners. With the two sides or two face mounting of the side pillars 103, 104 on the cuboidal shape tank 102 provides stability and rigidity to the modular cooler structure 100 and reduce vibrations and noise.
[0048] After assembling, the support pillar members 103, 104 over the cuboidal shape tank 102. The pair of side pillars 103, 104 defines a plurality of mounting holes 103a, 103b, 104a, 104b at upper end and at lower end. The plurality of mounting holes 103a, 104a provided complementary to the plurality of mounting holes 105c of the cuboidal shape top cover 105. Similarly, the plurality of mounting holes 103b, 104b provided complementary to the plurality of mounting holes 102b of the cuboidal shape tank 102. The pair of side pillars 103, 104 is configured to assemble with the cuboidal shape tank 102 and with the cuboidal shape top cover 105 by way of fasteners, such as nut and bolt.
[0049] referring to figure 2d top cover member 105 is assembled over the support pillars. Support pillar 103, 104 have the matching mounting holes for the cuboidal top cover 105, with the help of designated fastener the cuboidal top cover 105 is securely assembled over the support pillars. By assembling the cuboidal top cover with the side pillars, 60% of the cooler assembly is complete.
[0050] Referring to figure 2e the front frame 101 is now placed on the cuboidal shape tank 102 by sliding into the cuboidal top cover 105. Once the front frame member 101 is placed in the designated cavity, the front frame 101 is secured with the help of fasteners.
[0051] To complete the product assembly referring to figure 2f the electrical connection is done. Pump for water distribution is place in the cuboidal tank 102 along with the water lifting flexible pipe
[0052] To close the cooler assembly referring to figure 2g the side grill members 106 is guided along the channels in the side pillar member 103, 104 and front frame member 101. In similar manner the back grill member 107 is guided through the channel created between the side pillar member 103, 104. The two side grills 106 are removable coupled with the space defined in between the front frame 101 and the side pillars 103, 104. The back grill 107 is also removable coupled with the space defined in between the two side pillars 103, 104.
[0053] In an aspect, the front frame 101 further comprises of switches and knob on outer surface; and motor fan with blade unit on inner surface.
[0054] In an aspect, the front frame 101, the cuboidal shape tank 102, the side pillars 103, 104, and the cuboidal shape top cover 105 are mounted with each other by way of nut and bolt combination.
[0055] In an embodiment of the present subject matter, the nut may be welded in complementary with the plurality of mounting holes provide on the front frame 101. The cuboidal shape tank 102, the side pillars 103, 104, and the cuboidal shape top cover 105 to receive the bolt for tight and sturdy fitment and less vibrations and noise.
[0056] The side grills 106 and the back grill 107 comprises of wire mash or honeycomb structure or dried grass
[0057] The components of the cooler assembly 100 is made of plastic, metal, PVC or a combination. It is preferable to make the components of sheet metal material.
[0058] Referring to fig. 3, the box 200 comprises components of the cooler assembly 100 or modular cooler 100.
[0059] During dis-assembly of the cooler assembly 100, these screws have to be un-mounted first before dis-mantling the coupled parts. The screw mounting provides tight mounting between the parts which avoid generation of vibrations and sound.
[0060] The side grills and back grill comprises of wire mash structure or honeycomb structure or dried grass. This completes 100% assembly of the cooler assembly 100. The cooler assembly 100 can be made of Metal, plastic, fiber or any other known material which provide similar strength. Now when the Back and Side grills which are all time detachable guided in the basic structure through their provided slots the whole cooler structure assembly is ready and can be operated too.
