A Modular Platform Architecture For Agile Electric Vehicle Development

Abstract: The present innovation related to the modular platform which is commonly used in cars and has compatibility with different styles, such as a hatchback or a fitted sedan. We provide a platform for the development of a passenger and cargo vehicle. We can also use the same platform for developing vehicles in different categories. (According to CMVR in India, types of vehicles like L8, L7-N or M1 & N1).

Claims:Modular platform is used for development of a passenger and cargo vehicle and also uses the same platform for developing vehicles in different categories.
As claimed in claim1 that Modular platform is just not used to develop passenger vehicles but also cargo vehicles too.
As claimed in claim1 that Modular platform can also be used to develop vehicles in different categories according to the CMVR in India.
For eg:-
L - L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, L6, L7, L8
M - M1, M2, M3
N- N1
The chassis includes the front subframe, center frame, and rear subframe in the Modular Platform with certain capabilities, support systems based on its dimension specification.
As claimed in claim 4 we had included both front & rear subframes to accommodate a powertrain hence making the vehicle be propelled by two or four wheels.
As claimed in claim 4, the front subframe has the capabilities to house multiple types of suspensions which include are but not limited to Mc. Pherson strut with torsion bar, Double wishbone suspensions.
As claimed in claim 4, the rear subframe has the potential to house multiple suspensions, including but not limited to 5 Link rigid axle, semi-trailing arm and double-wishbone suspensions.
As claimed in Claim 4, the center frame has been used in the modular platform to support the battery pack and other power delivery and control systems.
The platform has a built in electrical system that is essential for operation of the vehicle.
In terms of adjusting the wheelbase configuration, steering radius, and track width based on end-use, the platform has capabilities and provisions such as scale capacity.
The modular platform is equipped with a steering mechanism that can be operated both mechanically, electrically and also capable of operating wirelessly.
The modular platform is integrated with numerous sensors for operation and maintenance.
Brakes with ABS (Anti lock braking system) are integrated into the modular platform.
The modular platform has mounts to fix any kind of upper body, ranging from all the categories vehicle already listed in claim 3 and the specification of dimensions.
, Description:According to one embodiment of the invention, the modular platform system includes for the vehicles which can be used for development of a passenger and cargo vehicle and also uses the same platform for developing vehicles in different categories, like L8, L7-N or M1 & N1 according to CMVR in India. We also include the front subframe, center frame, and rear subframe in the Modular Platform with certain capabilities, support systems based on its dimension specification as mentioned below
