Abstract: ABSTRACT 5 A pedal locking mechanism for a modular vehicle comprising a brake pedal movably supported by the secondary frame is described. The brake pedal is operable between an inoperative position and at least one operative position relative to the housing, the pedal locking mechanism comprising a ratchet defined along with brake pedal, the ratchet 10 defined with at least one locking profile. Further, the mechanism includes a restraining lever pivotally connectable to the secondary frame, wherein the restraining lever is defined with a first end and a second end. The restraining lever movable between a first position and a second position relative to the at least one locking profile. In the second position, the restraining lever configured to restrict the brake pedal to retract to inoperative position.
