Specification

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to multi-functional exercise stations. In particular, it relates to multi-functional exercise stations that can be installed and used in an open or closed space, provides a total body workout. It provides for multiple exercises not usually present in a single exercise machine. It is adjustable and can be used by multiple persons at one time.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In India, physical fitness and health are among the areas of highest concern. More than ever, people are frequenting gyms, fitness clubs and performing exercise routines at home in order to lose or gain weight, and maintain a healthy lifestyle. While there are many different types of exercise machines available, they typically only work on certain specific areas of the body such as chest and arms, or lower body and legs and there exists no single machine providing a whole body workout for the user including upper, middle and lower portions of the body. Additionally, they are required to be installed indoors, are bulky, have high maintenance costs and do not allow the users to customize/adjust their exercise regimen as per their requirements. This forces a user to move from machine to machine for a full body workout. Those exercising at home must also have space and the money to afford two or more different types of exercise machines as well.
Another problem with exercise machines is that they take up a lot of floor space. While some take up a smaller amount of floor space than others, typically they are all free standing and need to be set up far enough away from walls and furniture in order to allow for the space necessary to move around them and to exercise freely.
Most exercise machines are designed such that only a certain number of body parts can be exercised per workout station. This is because the typical workout station is dedicated to doing specific exercises, such as a high pull station for doing pull-downs, or a low pull station for curls, or a station dedicated to doing the bench press or squats, etc. Exercise machines with multiple stations are larger machines that require more steel, pulleys, and parts, resulting in a more complicated and expensive exercise machine that takes up more floor space and are restricted to one user at a time.
Accordingly, there exists a need for a multi-functional exercise station by which more than one user can obtain a whole body workout from a single exercise machine at a reasonable cost and while minimizing the floor space utilization.
