FIELD OF INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a multi-way direction control valve.
More specifically, the present invention is related to a multi-way fluid direction
control valve used in the thermal management system of electric vehicle to avoid
5 leakage offluid.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[001] The equipment's like motor, battery and alike used in vehicles gets heated
10 due to continuous working. If it is not cooled, it may cause an accident or sudden
breakdown. So it is necessary to cool them properly.
[002] The multi-way valve, a control valve with multi way valve ports, is a
components in electric vehicles and is used to realize the conversion function of
cooling.
15 [003] However, the existing multi-way valve body for automobiles has a complex
structure, a large body size (increasing production costs), lack of protection
measures, poor leak reliability of the control valve and valve body (easy to leak
liquid). This happens due to inaccurate position of control valve or control valve if
not stopped at exact position.
20 [004] Hence there is a requirement of multi-way direction control valve which
operates at accurate position and avoid leakage of fluid.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[0002] The main object of a present invention is to provide a multi-way valve
25 with stopper.
[0003] The object of the present invention is to provide the multi-way valve
that can avoids the fluid leakage.
[0004] Yet another object of the invention is to provide the multi-way valve
that maintain the exact position of control valve.

[00045] In one embodiment of present invention the o-ring removably mounted
between the top cover (20) and the bottom cover (24) to act as seal.
[00046] Tn one embodiment of present invention the quad ring (26) removably
mounted on groove provided on the control valve surface.
[00047] Tn one embodiment of present invention the bottom cover (24)
operatively coupled to the valve housing (14) through fastening means like screw
and alike.
[00048] In one embodiment of present invention the plurality of sensors (l8a)
senses the position of control valve (1 0) through position of the magnet (8) through
10 magnetic field generated by magnet (8).
[00049] Tn one embodiment of present invention the housing ( 14) includes 3
port or 4 port.
[00050] An operational characteristics of multi way valve is explained.
[00051] During start of motor 8, the motor 8 rotates and it rotate to the worm
15 gear 34 and other gears of gear train 6 and the control valve 1 0 too. The position of
control valve 10 is determine by the hall sensor 18a which is mounted on controller
18. The hall sensor 18a receives the position of control valve 10 from the magnet 8
which is located on top of the control valve 1 0. At least two hall sensors 18a are
fixed on controller bottom for sensing position of control valve 1 0 by means of
20 magnet 8. Sensors 18a are located on controller 18 in such manner that they get
only activated when control valve 10 rotate 90 degree, direction may be clockwise
or anti clockwise. Therefore to avoid the rotation of control valve 1 0 more than 90
degree a stopper 38 is provided at the bottom of valve housing. The stopper prevents
the control valve 1 0 rotation beyond the 90 degree. The seal connector 12 is used
25 for resisting fluid leakage. The main function of the stopper 38 is to avoid the over
movement of control valve which is not needed so fluid can flow through the outlet
port only. It also minimize the leakage chances.
