Abstract: The instant disclosure provides a mush free transparent soap bar composition. The composition comprises unique combination of salt of fatty acid, surfactant and solvents which shows superior mush behaviour along with better sensorials. It also provides a process of preparation of said mush free transparent soap bar.

Specification

Claims:1. A mush free transparent soap bar comprising:
(a) at least one salt of fatty acid;
(b) at least one surfactant; and
(c) at least one humectant,
wherein the at least one salt of fatty acid is selected from the group consisting of a salt of C8 to C18 fatty acids, wherein the salt of C14 fatty acid to the salt of other fatty acids weight ratio is in the range of 0.0-0.1.
2. The mush free transparent soap bar as claimed in claim 1, wherein the salt of C14 fatty acid to the salt of other fatty acids weight ratio is in the range 0.0-0.070.
3. The mush free transparent soap as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one salt of fatty acid is selected from the group consisting of sodium salt of C8 to C18 fatty acids, potassium salt of C8 to C18 fatty acids, and combinations thereof.

The mush free transparent soap bar as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one surfactant is selected from the group consisting of alkyl sulfates, alkyl ether sulfates, alkyl glucosides, anionic acyl sarcosinates, N-acyl glutamates, alkyl sulfosuccinates, alkyl betaines, alpha olefin sulfates, sodium laureth sulfate, and combinations thereof.
5. The mush free transparent soap bar as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one humectant is selected from the group consisting of propylene glycol, glycerin, PEG 400, sorbitol, sucrose, and combinations thereof.
6. The mush free transparent soap bar as claimed in claim 1, wherein the salt of fatty acid is selected from the group consisting of salt of coconut fatty acid, salt of lauric acid, salt of palmitic acid, salt of stearic acid, and combinations thereof.
7. The mush free transparent soap bar as claimed in claim 1, comprising:
(a) at least one salt of C8 to C18 fatty acid having weight percentage in
the range of 20% to 36% with respect to the transparent soap bar;
(b) at least one surfactant having weight percentage in the range of 6 to
20% with respect to the transparent soap bar; and
(c) at least one humectant having weight percentage in the range of 20
to 42% with respect to the transparent soap bar,
wherein the salt of C14 fatty acid to the salt of other fatty acids weight ratio is in the range of 0.0-0.1.
8. The mush free transparent soap bar as claimed in claim 1, further comprising at least one cosmetically acceptable excipient selected from the group consisting of chelating agent, structuring agent, neutralizing agent, salt, preservative, solubilizer, fragrance, colour, and combinations thereof.

The mush free transparent soap bar as claimed in claim 8, wherein: (a) the chelating agent has a weight percentage in the range of 0.04 % - 0.08% with respect to the transparent soap bar, and the chelating agent is selected from the group consisting of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid disodium salt, ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid tetrasodium salt, and combinations thereof; (b) the salt has a weight percentage in the range of 0.5% to 1.0% with respect to the transparent soap bar, and the salt is selected from the group consisting of sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium sulfite, and combinations thereof; (c) the preservative has a weight percentage in the range of 0.02% -0.05% with respect to the transparent soap bar, and the preservative is selected from the group consisting of butylated hydroxy toluene, disodium etidronate, tetrasodium etidronate, and combinations thereof; (d) the solubilizer has a weight percentage in the range of 0.1 % - 0.8% with respect to the transparent soap bar, and the solubilizer is selected from the group consisting of acetic acid, isopropyl alcohol, and combinations thereof.

A mush free transparent soap bar as claimed in any of the claims 1-9, wherein C8 to C18 salt of fatty acids comprises of (a) salt of coconut fatty acid having weight percentage in the range of 3.24 - 10.80% with respect to the total salt of fatty acids; (b) salt of lauric acid having weight percentage in the range of 0.0 to 10.80% with respect to the total salt of fatty acids; and (c) salt of hystric acid having weight percentage in the range of 12.96 - 19.44% with respect to the total salt of fatty acids, wherein the salt of C14 fatty acid to the salt of other fatty acids weight ratio is in the range of 0.0-0.1.
11. A process for preparation of mush free transparent soap bar as claimed in claim 1, said process comprising the steps of:
(a) obtaining at least one salt of fatty acid;
(b) obtaining at least one surfactant;
(c) obtaining at least one humectant; and
(d) contacting at least one salt of fatty acid, at least one surfactant, and at least one humectant to obtain a transparent soap bar,
wherein the at least one salt of fatty acid is selected from the group consisting of a salt of C8 to C18 fatty acids, wherein the salt of C14 fatty acid to the salt of other fatty acids weight ratio is in the range of 0.0-0.1.
12. A process for preparation of mush free transparent soap bar as claimed in any of the claims 1-10, said process comprising the steps of:
(a) contacting at least one salt of fatty acid, and at least one humectant to
obtain a mixture A;
(b) contacting the neutralizing agent and the mixture A to obtain
a mixture B;
(c) contacting at least one surfactant and the mixture B to obtain a mixture
C;
(d) contacting the salt, the preservative, and the
mixture C followed by contacting with water to obtain a mass; and
(e) pouring the mass into moulds and allowing to solidify to obtain the
transparent soap bar.
13. The process for preparation of mush free transparent soap bar, as claimed in claim 12, wherein (i) contacting at least one salt of fatty acid, and at least one humectant to obtain the mixture A is carried out at a temperature in the range of 80-85 °C; (ii) contacting the neutralizing agent and the mixture A to obtain the mixture B is carried out at a temperature in the range of 80-85 °C; (iii) contacting at least one surfactant and the mixture B to obtain the mixture C is carried out at a temperature in the range of 80-85 °C; (iv) contacting the salt, the preservative, and the mixture C followed by contacting with water to obtain a mass is carried out at a temperature in the range of 80-85 °C; and (v) solidification in step (e) is carried out at a temperature in the range of 25-28 °C.
