[0001] The present disclosure relates to the elimination of rattling effect. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a notch assembly to eliminate the rattling effect when housed in a device.

BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0002] The background description includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
[0003] Rattling is defined as an effect of sound produced by movement of an article when placed inside an object, which can be produced due to the movement of the object. Such rattling effects can be produced in various applications. One such major application is in vehicles. Many internal parts of the vehicle which can include multiple objects placed one inside another can be a subject to such rattling effect.
[0004] In conventional approaches, in order to avoid such rattling effects, either the entire design of the corresponding part or a major design of such part needs to be replaced. In another approach, a critical locking design needs to be incorporated in order to overcome the rattling effects. However, such limitations make the conventional approach expensive and it also becomes difficult in terms of tooling aspect.
[0005] Therefore, there is a need in the art to provide an improved notch assembly to eliminate rattling effect when housed in a device which overcomes above-mentioned and other limitations of existing approaches.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[0006] Some of the objects of the present disclosure, which at least one embodiment herein satisfies, are as listed herein below.
[0007] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide an assembly that eliminates rattling issues in a device.
[0008] It is another object of the present disclosure to provide a simple structure for eliminating the rattling issue, thereby avoiding complex structures being used to eliminate the rattling issue.
[0009] It is yet another object of the present disclosure to provide a structure to the assembly to fix a base plate inside a case.
[00010] It is yet another object of the present disclosure to provide a smooth movement of the base plate by adapting a supporter rib in a form of a notch.
[00011] It is yet another object of the present disclosure to provide an assembly having a tight fitment of the base plate inside the case due to the deformation of a notch, which eliminates the rattling issue.
[00012] It is yet another object of the present disclosure to provide an assembly to eliminate the rattling issue without the use of any additional materials, thereby reducing the resource and in turn reducing the cost of the assembly design.

In one exemplary embodiment, the second pre-defined angle may be about 150° to 170°.
[00039] Correspondingly, the first surface 110 and the third surface 116 are parallel to each other with a first pre-set distance between the first surface 110 and the third surface 116. The third surface 116 forms a first side edge of the flat body 106. More specifically, the first side edge of the flat body 106 may be defined as an edge along a length of the flat body 106. Also, the first pre-set distance may look like an extended portion of the flat body at the first end.
[00040] The flat body 106 also includes a second notch 118 along a second end of the elongated body 104, opposite to the first notch 108 at the top portion of the flat body 106. In one embodiment, the second end may be another corner (opposite to the first corner) at the top portion on the flat body 106. The second end forms a second side edge of the flat body 106. More specifically, the second side edge of the flat body 106 may be defined as another edge along another length of the flat body 106. The first side edge and the second side edge may be at an opposite position to each other.
[00041] Further, the second notch 118 is extended outwards to obtain an extended portion 120. The second side edge and the extended portion 120 are separated by a second pre-set distance. More specifically, the second pre-set distance may look like an extended portion of the flat body 106 at the second end.
[00042] Also, the elongated body 104 is fixed at the top portion within the first side edge and the second side edge of the flat body 106. More specifically, the elongated body 104 may be placed with the distance between the first pre-set distance and the second pre-set distance.
[00043] Turning to FIG. 3, FIG. 3 illustrates a schematic representation of a case 122 of the notch assembly 100, in accordance with an aspect of the present invention. The notch assembly 100 also includes a case 122 of a pre-defined shape. In one embodiment, the pre-defined shape of the case 122 may be a cuboidal shape, but not limited to the like.
[00044] The case 122 includes a hollow body 124 open at a top end and closed at a bottom end. An inner surface of the hollow body 124 includes an internal structure configured to hold the base plate within the hollow body 124. The first notch 108 and the second notch 118 are configured to hold the base plate 102 in a fixed position via the internal structure of the case 122 when the base plate 102 is inserted into the case 122, which helps control and eliminate rattling when the notch assembly 100 is housed within the said device. In one specific embodiment, the case 122 may include a flat surface 126 of pre-defined dimensions housed at a predefined location inside the hollow body124. In one embodiment, the base plate 102 may be inserted into the case 122 in such a way that the elongated body 104 may end up near the top end which may be open.
[00045] Turning to FIGs. 4 and 5, FIG. 4 illustrates a schematic representation of the base plate 102 being inserted in the case 122 of the notch assembly 100, in accordance with an aspect of the present invention. FIG. 5 illustrates a schematic representation of the base plate inserted into the case of the notch assembly, in accordance with an aspect of the present invention. [00046] Turning to FIG. 6, FIG. 6 illustrates a schematic representation of an enlarged view of the base plate 102 inserted into the case 122 of the notch assembly 100 of FIG. 4, in accordance with an aspect of the present invention. In operation, the first notch 108 is adapted to deform during insertion of the base plate 102 into the case 122 and acts as a deforming notch that fills the clearance between the base plate 102 and the internal surface of the case 122 when the base plate 102 is inserted within the case 122, which results in a tight fitment between the base plate 102 and the case 122. Further, the second notch 118 acts as a supporting notch during the insertion of the base plate 102 into the case 122. Further, when the case 122 is subjected to any movement when placed inside the device, the first notch 108 and the second notch 118 may protect the base plate 102 from the rattling issue. More specifically, in one exemplary embodiment, the device may correspond to a portable device having movement, due to which the rattling is generated within the device, wherein the first notch 108 and the second notch 118 are configured to eliminate the said rattling within the device.
[00047] FIG. 7A illustrates a schematic representation depicting exemplary details and dimensions of the base plate of the notch assembly of FIG. 4, in accordance with an aspect of the present invention. Indication ‘X’ represents the inner width of the base plate 102. The base plate width ‘X’ may be based on the outer dimensions of the device. Indication ‘Y’ represents clearance between the flat surface 116 of the base plate 102 and the inner wall of the case 122. Also, the indicator ‘M’ represents a length of the flat body 106 at the second end. Further, the indicator ‘N’ represents a length of the extended portion 120. As can be seen, there is no clearance between the second notch 118 and the inner wall of the case 122.
[00050] FIG. 7D illustrates a schematic representation depicting exemplary details and dimension of the first notch of the notch assembly of FIG. 4, in accordance with an aspect of the present invention. Indication ‘P’ represents interference between the case 122 and the first notch 108. Also, the indicator ‘Q’ represents a length of the first surface 110. Further, the indicator ‘R’ represents a length of the second surface 114.
[00051] In an exemplary embodiment, the dimension co-relations of the indicators represented in FIGs. 7A-7D may be as below:
• X=0.98Z
• Y=0.05X
• M= 0.25S
