Abstract: The invention relates to a fine tube assembling machine- The said machine comprising pair of pneumatic air cylinders 1, mounted on an individual support 6 at a distant and face to face, having the Fin Support jaw 4 to hold fins and to maintain the constant pressure on fins while the machine is in operation; a fin support plate 5 horizontally placed between said jaws 4 for holding the fins 2 fixed at their location while the machine is in operation; a Fin mounting plate 3 at bottom for holding together the entire assembly of the said fin support jaw 4 , the said cylinder support and the said support plate; a hydraulic cylinder 3 provided for mounting fins to the job by developing the force required for press fitting the fins 2 to the tube of the said job placed rigidly above on the fins assembly held on the said fin support plate and between the said jaws.

THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATION DESCRIBES THE NATURE OF THE INVENTION AND THE MANNER IN WHICH IT IS TO BE PERFORMED

FIELD OF INVENTION:-
The present invention relates to the novel fin-tube assembling machine. More particularly, the present invention relates to a press fit type fin tube assembling machine capable of assembling multiple fins up simultaneously.
PRIOR ART:-
1. Manual Press Fit Using Chain Drive:-
Previously, the finning of tubes is done by manual to press fit of tubes using chain drive mechanism.
2. Pneumatic Drive based assembly:-.
The improvement over the above method was to carry out fin-tube assembly using a pneumatic drive and fixture mechanism. The pneumatic cylinder is used to create the force necessary for press fitting the fins on tube one by one.
LIMITATIONS OF PRIOR ART:-
1. Both the above explained methods are time consuming as the press fitting of fins is done one by one. This also makes these methods expensive.
2. Also, the above methods cannot do finned tube assembly for tube lengths more than 2 m.
OBJECT OF THE PRESENT INVENTION:-
Object of present invention aims at a novel press fit type fin-tube assembling
machinecapable of assembling multiple fins simultaneously.
It is also object of present invention to eliminate limitations or drawbacks of the prior art.
STATEMENT OF THE INVENTION:-
Accordingly invention provides A fine tube assembling machine comprising pair of pneumatic air cylinders, mounted on an individual support at a distant and face to

face, having the Fin Support jaw to hold fins and to maintain the constant pressure on fins while the machine is in operation; a fin support plate horizontally placed between said jaws for holding the fins (2) fixed at their location, while the machine is in operation; a Fin mounting pate plateat bottom for holding together the entire assembly of the said fin support jaw , the said cylinder support and the said support plate; a hydraulic cylinder provided for mounting fins to the job by developing the force required for press fitting the fins to the tube of the said job placed rigidly above onthe fins assembly held on the said fin support plate and between the said jaws.

SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION:-
The figures 1A and 1B show the components of the novel fin-tube assembling machine and their assembly. The pneumatic Air cylinder assembly (1) holds the Fin Support jaw (4) and also maintains the constant pressure on fins (2) while the machine is in operation. The fin support jaw (4) and fin support plate (5) holds the fins (2) fixed at their location while the machine is in operation. Fin mounting plate (3) holds the entire assembly of fin support jaw (4), cylinder support (6) together at respective locations as shown in figures 1A and 1B. The Cylinder (1) is held at a fixed location on cylinder

support (6). But adjusting the cylinder pressure it is possible to have a to and fro movement of fin support job along its axis. This makes it possible to carry out fin-tube assembly for different sizes of fins and tubes and even for multiple tubes.
The figures 2A and 2B , show the fin assembly fixture (2) whose six parts are shown in figures 1Aand 1B, hydraulic cylinder (3) and the tube (1) being finned.
As shown in Figures 2A and 2B, according to the present invention, a fixture (2) is developed such as to assemble multiple fins up to 10 numbers simultaneously on tube length maximum up to 9 meter. The fixture (2) is equipped with hydraulic cylinder (3) which develops the force required for press fitting fins (2) shown in Figures 1A and 1B. The fixture prevents the deformation of fin while press fitting operation. As shown in figures 2A and 2B, the novel finned tube assembling machine has a horizontal construction. It can be operated in semi-automatic manner with the help of machined fixture (2). The groves of the fixture (2) are machined by wire cutting tool to achieve required precision.
The figures 2A and2B, show the fin assembly fixture (2), hydraulic cylinder (3) and the tube (1) being finned.
According to the present invention, a fixture is developed such as to assemble multiple fins up to 10 numbers simultaneously on tube length maximum up to 9 meter. The fixture is equipped with hydraulic cylinders which develop the force required for press fitting. The guided fixture arrangement prevents the deformation of fin while press fitting operation. The novel finned tube assembling machine has a horizontal construction. It can be operated in semi-automatic manner with the help of machined fixture. The groves of the fixture are machined by wire cutting tool to achieve required precision.

ADVANTAGES OF PRESENT INVENTION:-
1. The present invention shall improve the quality of fin-tube assembly.
2. The present invention shall reduce the fin-tube assembling time thereby improving the finned-tube production efficiency.
3. The present invention shall be capable to making finned tube assembly for tubes lengths as high as up to 9 meter.
VARIATIONS POSSIBLE:-
1. In the present invention it is possible to have fixture to manufacture dual finned tube with the help of an appropriate fixture.
2. In the present invention it is possible to manufacture finned tubes with various tube thicknesses, tube lengths up to 9 meters, fin thicknesses, and fin dimensions.
3. In the present invention it is possible to manufacture finned tubes with fins and tubes of any material of construction such as all alloys steels, carbon steels, stainless steels, aluminum, copper etc. to suit end application requirements.

WE CLAIM:-
1. A fine tube assembling machine comprising pair of pneumatic air cylinders, mounted on an individual support at a distant and face to face,having the Fin Support jaw to hold fins and to maintain the constant pressure on fins while the machine is in operation; a fin support plate horizontally placed between said jaws for holding the fins (2) fixed at their location while the machine is in operation; a Fin mounting patePlateat bottom for holding together the entire assembly of the said fin support jaw , the said cylinder support and the said support plate; a hydraulic cylinder provided for mounting fins to the job by developing the force required for press fitting the fins to the tubeof the saidjob placed rigidly above onthe fins assembly held on the said fin support plate and between the said jaws.
2. A fine tube assembling machine as claimed in claim 1 wherein the said pneumatic cylinder is held at a fixed location on cylinder support.
3. A fine tube assembling machine as claimed in claims 1 and 2 wherein fin support job movable to and fro by adjusting the cylinder pressure enable to carry out fin-tube assembly for different sizes of fins and tubes and even for multiple tubes.
