, Description:1. PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
1. The following complete specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed:

“A NOVEL NUTRACEUTICAL FORMULATION FOR NATURAL DETOXIFICATION OF THE BODY”

2. TECHNICAL FIELD
2. The present invention relates to the field of herbal nutraceutical formulations and compositions; more particularly health and wellness supplements. The present invention helps in detoxification of the body naturally and makes the body free of accumulated toxins.

3.2. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
3. The present day life style of human beings has changed immensely in comparison with our age old days. A dramatic shift has occurred in almost everything humans are in contact with. The air we breathe, the food we eat are all adulterated. In addition to this, the intake of processed and junk food has also increased due to varied reasons. All these factors lead to accumulation of toxins in our body; left unattended will lead to degeneration of health. Therefore, it is important to get rid of the accumulated toxins and impurities in the body.

4. Toxins may be defined as substances which produce physical, emotional and psychological imbalances in an individual. A toxin is a poison produced through biological processes or ingested through external sources like food, air or water. The nicotine found inside of tobacco leaves is a toxin; so is the metabolic waste produced by cells inside the human body. But when people talk about "toxins," they're referring to manmade chemicals as well.

5. Our body can accumulate both natural and manmade toxins, when you ingest food and water and when you breathe. Air pollutants like ozone and nitrogen dioxide have been linked to a range of health problems in humans from respiratory inflammation to cancer. Pollutants in water include arsenic, a known carcinogen, and mercury, which is linked to nervous system disorders. Even organic fruits and vegetables aren't safe from toxins such as E.coli and Salmonella, which can cause acute illness.

6. Toxicity is defined as the degree to which a toxic substance may harm a cell or organism. Also defined as the degree to which something is poisonous to our body. To improve our health and return ourselves back to a state of 'ease', we need to go to the basics of health. We need to chop the root and not the limbs.
Auto-intoxication:
7. When the eliminative system of the human body is not in top-notch working order, particularly if it has become sluggish or clogged, it cannot properly process and eliminate food wastes and toxins. Medical science now acknowledges that up to 85% or more of all adult Americans suffer from some form of intestinal stasis [i.e., constipation, sluggish bowels, etc.]. This virtually guarantees toxic build-up in the colon which, over time, inevitably results in one or more forms of serious illness or chronic degenerative disease. Intestinal stasis sooner or later causes the wastes and toxic by-products from the foods we eat to build up to such an extent that they start to become putrefactive (Decomposition of organic matter) in turn, this putrefactive build-up in the colon becomes a veritable breeding ground, encouraging the rapid growth of huge colonies of toxin-producing, disease-causing bacteria (E.coli) along with a host of known toxic chemicals and waste products.

8. When the digestive and eliminative systems are not properly working to rid the body of this accumulating putrefactive build-up in the colon, the resulting toxins are then absorbed from the colon into the bloodstream, and are carried back into every part of the body. This process of self-poisoning is known as “auto-intoxication”. In a nutshell, because of intestinal stasis, the body ends up chronically poisoning itself with its own wastes and toxins instead of carrying out its designed purpose of eliminating them.

9. This process of continued self-poisoning inevitably results in candidiasis and a dramatically weakened immune system, which can lead directly to such common ill-health conditions as chronic fatigue and body weakness, nervousness, depression and mood swings, skin disruptions such as acne and eczema, ulcers and other gastro-intestinal disorders, headaches, arthritic joints, swelling of hands and feet, chronic allergies, bronchial problems, cardio-vascular irregularities (arrhythmias, high blood pressure, etc.), pathological changes in the breasts, premature senility, epilepsy, and many other serious and debilitating problems.
What is Detoxification and Cleansing?
10. The modern lifestyle practices led to the concept of natural cleansing and detoxification of human body, an inevitable process as we are increasingly exposed to high levels of toxic compounds through unhealthy food, contaminated drinking water and polluted air. Even the beauty and cosmetics products we use include harmful chemicals such as petroleum and various other toxins. Most of the foods that we eat are produced by using artificial hormones, insecticides and other chemicals which destroy vitamins and essential nutrients leading toxin formation in our body. Cigarette smoke, alcohol, different medications, drugs are also examples of toxic sources. Toxins can also be generated within the body from viral, bacterial or fungal infections and other illnesses which also impact the immune system.
11. Further, toxins and hormones generated as a result of stress and negative mental attitudes of modern life style are overpowering liver and kidney to such an extent that such organs cannot cope with ever increasing load of toxins.
12. The internal safety mechanism within each cell of our body that prevents this toxic build up from happening is called detoxification and cleansing. Making sure that our internal detoxification and cleansing systems are working effectively twenty-four hours a day is one of the most important keys to our health.
13. Hence, it has become apparent that our ability to detoxify substances to which we are exposed is of critical importance to our overall health and to avoid multiple complications.
How do toxins accumulate?
14. Poor diet, junk food, alcohol, medication, overall poor health of the body and its organs and environmental toxins all help to contribute to the excessive amount of toxins in the body which play a major role to cause stress and other life style diseases. The body works tirelessly to naturally remove through our urine, sweat and stools. However, these toxins can be built up in the body to harmful levels which increases the chance of critical illnesses through significantly affecting the functioning of vital organs like liver, kidney and brain.
15. Our normal detoxification and cleansing pathways are adversely affected by the diminished quality of our food supply, which causes nutritional deficiencies, and by our toxic environment, which causes an excessive accumulation of toxins, often simply referred to as our toxic burden. Without attention and correction to these problems our body has no choice but to surrender to the process of physical degeneration which is the pre-condition for all sickness and disease.
What are the consequences of toxic accumulation?
16. As our normal metabolic functions get interrupted by the accumulating process of various toxins, our body tries to let us know that things are not going so well and that they need our help to be successful in their detoxification and cleansing efforts. Here then are a partial list of some of the ways our body tries to get our attention: fatigue, worry, anxiety, insomnia, nausea, sensitivity to light, sensitivity to sound, headache, backache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, upper respiratory infections, nasal and sinus congestion, skin rashes, joint pain, cold and flu-like symptoms, dry mouth, bad breath, dizziness, ringing in the ears, inattention, hyper-activity, infertility, impotence, and many other ways too.
17. Detoxification is often neglected, overlooked or underestimated in the healing arts, despite the fact that all health professionals realize that a sick body is a toxic body. Toxic acids are normal products of cell metabolism. We also assimilate varying amounts of toxic materials from the air we breathe, the food we eat, and other environmental sources.
Herbal Detoxification – The solution to detoxify organs & the whole body
18. For our body to function normally, regular elimination of toxin should take place in the form of: fasting, detox drugs, water therapy, exercise, withdrawal, and massage. Currently available form of herbal detoxifiers includes syrup, tonic, tablet, capsules such as formulations of Neem and Manjistha commercially available as Active Dabur Syrup, Himani Purim Tablet, Lahmina Syrup including triphala, neem, bhringraj, manjistha & honey etc., The present invention, a unique natural herbal formula with majority of herbs used are essentially well known detoxifying herbs used individually. When these herbs are used in a composition or made into a formulation, the amounts of individual herb administered to achieve therapeutic activity are of high threshold.
