3. PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
Field of Invention
The present invention relates to a novel strap saddle with two strap tightening. Background of the Invention & the Related Art
Water is life and is one of the first needs of the mankind. Since ancient times, human settlements have been taking place along water sources. In the initial of human settlements the water was being drawn directly from the water sources. Subsequently man realized the necessity to store the water and he built dams or similar. But from the dam or similar, the water was required to supplied to the settlements. With this the water supply networking came into existence. With changing times and increasing population the proper water management and supply became vital. Thus came into existence the modern water supply networks. Originally the water supply network was made up of casting and then of the cement pipes carrying water. Currently, C.I., G.I. pipes or PVC pipes are also being used for the same purpose on a major scale. These pipes are of varied sizes and standards. Due to such differences, there is variation in the dimensions of the pipes.
Under the normal circumstances the installation methods are as follows:
Traditionally'or even currently various methods are used for the installations.
The first among them is making a hole and threading on the pipeline which is underground and then tightening a ferrule on that threading as per the required

outlet. However, as the diameter of pipe and the thickness of the pipe vary from manufacturer to manufacturer as they are casted or drawn. The outcome of this is the joints leak much earlier. Also it is observed in a due course, that the ferrule and the pipe gets rusted at the threading and water starts oozing out from the joint over a period of 2-3 years.
Secondly, the hybrid clamps are used to accomodate the variations in the diameters of the pipes. These consist of first half part of the clamp being made in casting and the the other half in stainless steel sheet which is made from either a rod or a steel strip having a capacity to accomodate a little variation in the diameter of pipes. Some other manufacturers have developed a longer strap to accommodate different pipe diameters.
Thirdly, a ferrule type connector as a replacement to the traditional service saddle having 'O' ring being placed at the 'O' Ring slot and the body (ferrule saddle) (1) being inserted in the rubber bush along the male type threading till the taper side of the rubber bush along with leap seal touching the tapered head of the body (ferrule saddle) and the body (ferrule saddle) further inserted in pressure plate & then in the lock nut along the male type threading.
Fourthly, strap saddle with a single strap tightening is used in the installation. However, as there is only one strap there is a probability of some movement of the assembly along the pipe & leakage. The tightening takes place away from the pipe surface (axis). As a result of this, the contact area between the pipe and the strap is less for smaller pipe sizes and the contact area increases with size of the pipe. In case of bigger pipe sizes, the contact area increases to such an extent, that it becomes a hindrance to the tightening. Also there is a possibility of the saddle gaining a dangling movement, resulting into leakages. Owing to the distant

tightening, other underground factors such as cables, other pipes etc. could create difficulty in installation of the strap saddle.
4. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The invention under consideration describes a novel a novel strap saddle with two strap tightening.

12. Counter hole on the sides of the body (strap saddle)
First, all the assembly parts with their respective functions are described below:
In the invention under consideration, the body (strap saddle) (1) has a required female type threading (2) (from inside) from the top for fitting of the outlet pipe (7). The body (strap saddle) (1) is also provided with the sealing bush (5) to tighten and connect to the pipe (3) through the hole or the punctured area on the pipe (6). Further the body (strap saddle) (1) has counter holes (12) on both the sides as a nest to guide the hexagonal bolt (4) which will tighten the strap by pulling the locking plates(8) upwards and simultaneously pushing the saddle downwards till the pipe (3), for a perfect sealing/tightening on the axis of the pipe (3).
The assembly under consideration has two locking plates (8) which form a loop and act as a mediator between the two ends of the straps. The locking plates (8) are to be placed on the sides of body (strap saddle) (1) to be engaged further to the hexagonal bolt (4) and the strap (9). The locking plates (8) tighten the strap against the body (strap saddle) (1) with the help of hexagonal bolt (4) which is located/placed on the counter holes (12) of the body (strap saddle) (1) disallowing any movement of body (strap saddle) (1).
The assembly under consideration has two straps (9) for fastening the body (strap saddle) (1) with the pipe (3) tightly. The straps (9) are engaged with the locking plates (8) for giving strength to the tight fastening of the pipe (3) with the body (strap saddle) (1).

The assembly under consideration has two hexagonal bolts (4) for fitting the body (strap saddle) (1) on the pipe (3). Both the bolts (4) are to be inserted firstly through threaded area (2) on the locking plate (11) and then to be placed on the counter holes (12) on the body (strap saddle) (1).
Further, there is a locking plate (8) to be fitted on the outer male type threading of the hexagonal bolt (4) which locks the tension of the assembled body (strap saddle) (1) on the pipe (6).
The major advantages of a novel strap saddle with two strap tightening are as follows:
• The two-strap assembly eradicates the probability of any movement of the assembly along the pipe.
• The tightening does not take place away from the pipe surface (axis). As a result of this, there is no hindrance to the tightening.
• Also there is no possibility of the saddle gaining a dangling movement, resulting into leakages.
• Other underground factors such as cables, other pipes etc. do-not pose to be major difficulties in installation of the strap saddle.
• The use of two straps makes the assembly suitable to be mounted on any pipe sizes (from smaller sizes to largest proportionate sizes) and provides maximum contact between the pipe and the strap giving the best grip.

5. I claim:
