Abstract: A novel water storage tank comprising an inner layer 2 and outer layer 3. Having a plurality of middle layers 4A – 4C provided between the inner layer 2 and outer layer 3. Plurality of angled ribs 5 being provided on entire outer surface of the outer layer 3 such that to reflect maximum number of sun rays which penetrates into water and boil it during summer season. (Figure 2)
This invention relates to a novel water storage tank. Particularly this invention related to a multi-layer and insulated water storage tank for storing water at the normal temperature in the all kind of weather.
STATE OF THE ART IN THE FIELD
As we know India is a country of mixed weathers and we see a temperature rise up to 50°c during summers and minus 10°c in winters and sometime even lower than minus 10°C. Also, the use of water storage tanks is known and these tanks are used to store water for domestic and / or industrial use as and where required.
The water storage tanks are usually made of concrete and plastic material. Metallic water storage tank are also known for in the prior art. Multi-layer, usually three layers, plastic water storage tanks are also known in art. These plastic water storage tanks are made of polyethylene. The polyethylene used to manufacture the conventional plastic tank is linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) and high density polyethylene (HDPE) and usually a combination of these plastics, LLDPE and HDPE is used for manufacturing the plastic water storage tanks.
There are disadvantages associated with the conventional water storage tanks. One of the disadvantages is that these tanks become hot in the
summer season and cold in the winter season. Therefore, water contained in overhead water storage tanks become extremely hot in the summer season and extremely cold in the winter season.
Another disadvantage associated with the conventional water storage tank is that the users feel uncomfortable while using the water, for daily needs, from such overhead water storage tanks and therefore conventional tanks are not user friendly tanks.
Yet another disadvantage associated with the conventional water storage tank is that conventional tanks are heavy in weight and costly.
Still another disadvantage associated with the conventional water storage tank is that conventional tanks do not long last and water is spoiled very often due to perilous combination of sunrays, plastic polymers and water.
Therefore, there is a need to invent a novel water storage tank to keep the water at the same temperature during all the seasons.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a novel water storage tank which obviates the disadvantages associated with the prior art.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a novel water storage tank of unique construction such to reflect sun rays most of the time and heating cooling effect is minimized.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a novel water storage tank having insulation properties and thus excessive heating and cooling of the water contained in the water storage tank is avoided.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a novel water storage tank which is capable to keep the water at the normal temperature and thus make it user friendly water storage tank.
A further object of the present invention is to provide a novel water storage tank having inner layer, which remains in contact with water, made of food grade material and therefore water does not spoiled.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a novel water storage tank which is safe to store water as it antibacterial and is of food grade standard.
STATEMENT OF THE INVENTION
According to this invention there is provided a novel water storage tank comprising an inner layer 2 and outer layer 3 having a plurality of middle layers 4A - 4C provided between the inner layer 2 and outer layer 3, plurality
of angled ribs 5 being provided on entire outer surface of the outer layer 3 such that to reflect maximum number of sun rays which penetrates into water and boil it during summer season.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
A novel water storage tank of the present invention is herein described with numerous specific details so as to provide a complete understanding of the invention. However, these specific details are exemplary details and should not be treated as the limitation to the scope of the invention. Throughout this specification the word "comprise" or variations such as "comprises or comprising", are to be understood to imply the inclusions of a stated element, integer or step, or group of elements, integers or steps, but not the exclusions of any other element, integer or step or group of elements, integers or steps. Referring to the drawings, figure 1 and 2, the water storage tank 1 comprises an inner layer 2 and outer layer 3 having a plurality of middle layers 4
provided between the inner layer 2 and outer layer 3. Plurality of angled ribs 5 are provided on entire outer surface of the outer layer 3 such that to reflect maximum number of sun rays which penetrates into water and boil it during summer season. The inner layer 2 is made of 100% food grade LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) and is provided to keep the water in the hygienic condition all the time. The thickness of the inner layer 2 is in the range of 1.5 – 2 mm of a 500 liter capacity water tank. In one embodiment the thickness varies depending upon the capacity / size of water tank. In one embodiment overall thickness of layer of the water tank is in the range of 11.5 – 13.5 MM.
The plurality of middle layers, in one embodiment and as shown in figure 2, comprises a first middle layer / puff layer 4A provided adjacent to the inner layer 2 such that to provide insulation properties. The puff layer 4A is made of virgin puff material, for example, polyurethane and is of a thickness of 3 – 3.5 mm. The puff layer 4A is an insulation layer and is provided to maintain the temperature of the water contained in the water tank. A second middle layer 4B is provided adjacent to the puff layer 4A. The second middle layer 4B is made of LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) and is of a thickness of 1.5 – 2 mm. The second middle layer 4B is infused with carbon black with concentration 2 – 3 % to make it black in color and to provide extra shield that prevents the penetration of sun rays inside the tank. A third middle layer / puff layer 4C is provided adjacent to the second middle layer 4B. The third puff

layer 4C is again made of virgin puff material, for example, polyurethane and is of a thickness of 3 – 3.5 mm. The third layer 4C is provided to prevent the atmospheric heat to pass through the tank and thus the temperature of water inside the tank remains unaffected. The third puff layer 4C is also act as an insulation layer and is provided to maintain normal temperature of the water contained in the water tank 1. The polyurethane act as an insulating agent that keeps and protects the heat loss from inside as well as inhibits environmental heat to pass inside the tank 1. The outer layer 3 is made of LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) and is of a thickness of 2.5 – 3 mm. The outer layer 3 also act a UV (ultra violet) layer and thus protect the water from UV rays.
Also, a unique combination of anti-uv and anti-static substances are infused with the virgin raw material polymers, for example, LLDPE and polyurethane in a concentrations of 0.05% to 0.10%, used between the inner layer 2 and outer layer 3 before producing the final product. The combination of anti-uv and anti-static substances is harmless to human beings and it restricts the bad effects of sun rays, dust and micro-organisms like virus, bacteria, algae and fungus to the water contained in the water tank of the present invention.

We claim,
A novel water storage tank 1 comprising an inner layer 2 and outer layer 3 having a plurality of middle layers 4A - 4C provided between the inner layer 2 and outer layer 3, plurality of angled ribs 5 being provided on entire outer surface of the outer layer 3 such that to reflect maximum number of sun rays which penetrates into water and boil it during summer season.
The novel water storage tank as claimed in claim 1, wherein the overall thickness of water tank is about 11.5-13.5mm.
The novel water storage tank as claimed in claim 1, wherein the inner layer is made of 100% food grade LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) and is of a thickness of 1.5 - 2 mm.
The novel water storage tank as claimed in claim 1, wherein the outer layer is made of virgin puff material, for example, polyurethane and is of a thickness of 3 - 3.5 mm.
The novel water storage tank as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first middle layer is provided adjacent to the inner layer and is made of virgin puff material, for example, polyurethane having a unique combination of anti-uv and anti-static substances imparted therewith in a concentrations of 0.05% to 0.10% and is of a thickness of about 3 - 3.5 mm.
The novel water storage tank as claimed in claim 1, wherein the second middle layer / puff layer is provided adjacent to the first middle layer and is made of LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) having a unique combination of anti-uv and anti-static substances imparted therewith in a concentrations of 0.05% to 0.10% and is of a thickness of 1.5-2 mm.
The novel water storage tank as claimed in claim 1, wherein second middle layer is infused with carbon black with concentration 2 - 3 % to make it black in color and to provide extra shield that prevents the penetration of sun rays inside the tank.
The novel water storage tank as claimed in claim 1, wherein the third middle layer / puff layer is provided between the second middle layer and outer layer.
The novel water storage tank as claimed in claim 1, wherein the third middle is made of virgin puff material, for example, polyurethane having a unique combination of anti-uv and anti-static substances imparted therewith in a concentrations of 0.05% to 0.10% and is of a thickness of about 3-3.5 mm.
The novel water storage tank as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of middle layers comprises a first middle layer / puff layer such that to provide insulation so as to maintain temperature of the water contained
therein, a second middle layer to protect water from sun rays, and a third middle layer / puff layer to prevent atmospheric heat to pass through the tank.
