Claims:1. A nozzle (12) for a fuel injector (10), said nozzle (12) comprising at least a nozzle
body (12a), said nozzle body (12a) comprising a fuel inlet passage (16) and a fuel
inlet hole (18) adapted to allow fuel to enter said fuel inlet passage 5 (16) and a central
passage (20);
Characterized in that a groove (22) located at the end of the nozzle (12) where said
fuel inlet hole (18) is provided in a manner such groove (20) surrounds said fuel
inlet hole (18).
2. The nozzle (12) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said groove (22) is has a geometry
such that at least a part of the said groove opens into said central passage (20).
3. A fuel injector (10), said fuel injector (10) comprising at least:
- an injector body (14) comprising a first end (14a) and a second end (14b);
- a nozzle (12) fitted to said first end (14b) of said injector body 14, said nozzle
15 (12) comprising at least a nozzle body (12a), said nozzle body (12a) comprising
a fuel inlet passage (16) and a fuel inlet hole (18) adapted to allow fuel to enter
said fuel inlet passage (16) and a central passage (20);
Characterized in that a groove (22) located at the end of the nozzle (12) where said
fuel inlet hole (18) is provided in a manner such that said groove (20) surrounds the
20 fuel inlet hole (18). , Description:A nozzle for a fuel injector and a fuel injector is disclosed. A fuel injector 5 (10), said fuel
injector (10) comprising at least an injector body (14) comprising a first end (14a) and a
second end (14b); a nozzle (12) fitted to said first end (14b) of the injector body 14. The
nozzle (12) comprising at least a nozzle body (12). The nozzle body (12a) comprising a
fuel inlet passage (16) and a fuel inlet hole (18) adapted to allow fuel to enter the fuel inlet
10 passage (16) and a central passage (20). The fuel injector 10 is characterized such that the
groove (22) is located at the end of the nozzle (12) where the fuel inlet hole (18) is provided
in a manner such that groove 20 surrounds fuel inlet hole (18).
