Brief description of the ingredients and their uses
MANGOSTEEN
Mangosteen is also called the "QUEEN OF FRUITS" & Food of Gods and is a rich source of antioxidants and vitamin C. It has been found that its extract can neutralize up to 20–30 times more free radicals than any other natural sources. Mangosteen is good in vitamin C which is a powerful water soluble ANTIOXIDANTS. Mangosteen helps to strengthen the immunity system.
It promotes joint & cartilage function supports a strong respiratory system and help in maintaining good health. The active therapeutic compound found in Mangosteen is called “XANTHONES”. Xanthones are a family of phytonutrients loaded with potent of health benefits and antioxidants properties. Xanthones in Mangosteen have the ability to eradicate and destroy cancer cells. The mangosteen fruit is said to contains at least 43 known Xanthones, majority of which are found in the fruit wall or pericarp of the fruit.
Xanthones work to reduce oxidative stress caused by free radicals. By damaging the free radicals, these antioxidants protect the body from various diseases, ranging from common cold and Flu, Cancer risk and Heart disorders.
There are over 200 XANTHONES found in nature. Mostly in wood, lichens and moss, which are mostly unpalatable and inedible. But 43 of them are in the Mangosteen, 3 in pulp and 40 in the pericarp. The highest recorded amount of XANTHONES present in Mangosteen than anything else. Xanthones represents the very latest that nutritional science has to offer. Much more than a great Antioxidants, Xanthones are a class of multi-functional phytonutrients poised to raise the bar in the nutritional arena! At our company, we have not only launched a category creator, we are the next generation of supplementation.
"Mangosteen provides powerful support for every organ system in the human body. This fact is being confirmed on a daily basis by clinical experience... I am convinced that Mangosteen will, without a doubt, be the most successful food supplement ever." - J. Frederic Temple man, M.D., a primary care physician for more than 20 years and board certified in both the United States and Canada.
"Mangosteen is able to reverse most of the ailments of modern man." - Kenneth J. Finsand, M.D., a practicing chiropractic physician for nearly 30 years who specialized in functional medicine throughout his medical career.
"Mangosteen provides huge health benefits for every organ in our bodies."- Sam Walters, N.M.D., a family practitioner trained as a specialist in both traditional and natural medicine, with more than 30 years of comprehensive practical experience in the medical profession, and formulated nutritional products for companies and institutions including the NASA Space Center for the astronauts.
Mangosteen contains more than 40 biologically-active, natural chemical compounds called Xanthones. While all these Xanthones have similar molecular structures, each one has its own unique chemical formulation that permits it to perform a specific function. Alpha-mangostin, for example, is a very potent antioxidant. Gamma-mangostin is a powerful anti-inflammatory. Garcinone E is a strong anti-tumor agent. These and the other Xanthones found in the Mangosteen provide a virtual medicine chest of natural healing compounds that address a wide variety of health issues.
Centuries of Mangosteen use has helped Southeast Asians maintain or regain their health and cure their diseases. Traditional Asian healers use the fruit to stop infection, treat inflammation, and increase one's energy, among others.
Modern scientists and a growing number of health practitioners now agree on the medical benefits of Mangosteen. They have found that the fruit is helpful in preventing and possibly even stopping a wide range of diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer's disease, cancer and other chronic diseases.
Those who have taken the time to do their own research on the validity of each health benefit of Mangosteen will find that there is real and solid science behind the "Queen of Fruits".
Our immune system tries to keep trillions of cells in our bodies protected from disease-causing toxins, free radicals, viruses, bacteria, fungi and other harmful agents.
At times, though, our immune system gets overwhelmed. Our bodies get sick, often because of free radical damage.
A free radical is an unstable atom with an unpaired electron. When a free radical comes in contact with a stable atom, it steals the electron it needs from the stable atom. This leaves the once stable atom irreparably damaged and prone to succumb to disease.Antioxidants counteract free radicals. They have an extra electron that they can share with free radicals. Because of this ability, they are able to prevent free radicals from attacking healthy atoms or cells.
Mangosteen contains powerful antioxidants and immune system boosters called Xanthones, natural chemical compounds which were proven to possess a variety of potent medicinal properties.
Xanthones occupy a special place in the Mangosteen's arsenal of healing compounds. They have been shown to have more potent antioxidant activity than vitamin E, one of nature's most powerful known antioxidants.
A laboratory test known as ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity), for example, showed that an ounce of Mangosteen extract provides 20 to 30 times more capacity to absorb free radicals than an ounce of most fruits and vegetables.
Mangosteen also contains other potent natural compounds like catechism, polysaccharides, quinines, stilbenes and polyphenols.Catechism were discovered to be five times more potent as antioxidants than vitamin C.
Polysaccharides are highly potent anti-cancer and anti-bacterial plant compounds. They help block a mutated cells ability to stick to healthy cells to help stop the spread of cancer, and are especially effective against intracellular bacteria.
Quinones are known for their anti-bacterial properties and also are strong antioxidants. Stilbenes in plants defend these plants against fungi. Interestingly, stilbenes also maintain their anti-fungal properties even when ingested. They also are strong antioxidants.
Polyphenols were found to be far more potent as antioxidants than vitamin E, considered one of the most powerful known antioxidants.

SIBERIAN GINSENG EXTRACT
Siberian Ginseng has a history of traditional use dating back more than 2,000 years. It was traditionally consumed to maintain overall good health as opposed to treating ill health, and was especially important to the elderly to boost the quality of life. In the past it was used in Traditional Chinese Medicine, where it was mixed into wine and combined with other herbs to be used as a tonic for fatigue, arthritis and pain in the lower back.
In his “Great Catalogue of Medicinal Herbs”, Li Shih Chen called Siberian Ginseng a superior herb, “Its action is to invigorate physical energy, regulate vigor, strengthen the skeleton and tendons, and increase one's ambition”. As a motivational herb, Siberian Ginseng is hard to beat – there isn’t much else that can deliver so much wonderful, raw energy.
Traditional Chinese Medicine specializes in being able to formulate whichever energy patterns are necessary for patients with herbs. Siberian Ginseng has been added to many formulas, increasing the effect of energy to every area of the body that needed it.
Rumor has it that Siberian Ginseng was the first ever herb to have the term “Adaptogen” applied to it. Adaptogens are a unique group of herbal ingredients which help your body adjust to stressful circumstances, ranging from extreme heat or cold to infections or trauma.
Siberian Ginseng aids in the recovery from strenuous exercise and extreme mental exertion. Its adaptogenic qualities make it a must have herb for those engaged in highly stressful jobs or high energy activities. It is also extremely useful to those working in abnormally high or low temperature environments.
Another important action of an adaptogen is “immunomodulation” – a process by which an immune response is altered to the desired level.
This is partly achieved by recharging exhausted adrenal glands - when these glands become over-taxed leading to different systems in the body to break down.
Siberian Ginseng consists of a group of glycosides known as eleutherosides. The evidence is mounting that Siberian Ginseng enhances and supports immune system response, making it a possible natural alternative in the long term management of various diseases of the immune system. German research has shown that it increases lymphocytes – important components of the immune system which act as the body’s primary defense against viral infections. They found that Siberian Ginseng significantly increases the activity and number of CD4 cells, a subset of T-lymphocyte cells, whose proper activity is crucial to the ability of the immune system to function normally.
Classed as a tonic herb and a mild stimulant, Siberian Ginseng has the ability to increase your work capacity after a single dose, increasing both immediate and long term energy.Besides protecting the body from stress, Siberian Ginseng also increases oxygenation of the cells, thereby increasing endurance, alertness and even visual acuity. This increased oxygenation leads to better circulation – especially to the brain – helping to restore memory, concentration and mental clarity.
A favorite supplement for professional runners, Siberian Ginseng delivers a powerful energy boost. It is so popular that it’s hard to find any runners who do not take it before a race – simply because they cannot outrun the other competitors who do use it. This adaptable herb is beneficial to both men and women in the realm of sexual health. In women it supports healthy menstruation and uterine tone. It is often prescribed by herbalists to combat infertility related depression and fatigue.
This potent root is an “adaptogen”, which means that when it is ingested, it helps the body to increase its resistance to stress. Guess what that means? If you take Siberian ginseng, your stress resistance can increase too.
Siberian ginseng has been known for aiding your immune system, helping your mental performance and mental health and increasing your energy, vitality and longevity. Siberian ginseng can also miraculously lower your blood sugar, which is one of the first steps to weight loss and preventing or recovering from diabetes.
Siberian ginseng has countless benefits for your physical and mental health, as well as your overall well-being. This is totally the time to indulge and take advantage of a large array of natural supplements When combined, many of these nutritional powerhouses, like Siberian ginseng work together and bring your body even more medicinal benefits.

ELDERBERRY EXTRACT
Elderberry fruit contains high levels of flavonoids, which means it might have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. These help to protect healthy cells from harmful free radicals that play a role in skin problems.
Used for its antioxidant activity to lower cholesterol, improve vision, boost the immune system, improve heart health and for coughs, colds, flu, bacterial and viral infections and tonsillitis. Elderberries have been a folk remedy for centuries in North America, Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa, hence the medicinal benefits of elderberries are being investigated and rediscovered. Bioflavonoids and other proteins in the extract destroy the ability of cold and flu viruses to infect a cell. People with the flu who took elderberry extract reported less severe symptoms and felt better much faster than those who did not.
Elderberries contain organic pigments, tannin, amino acids, carotenoids, flavonoids, sugar, rutin, viburnic acid, vitamin A and B and a large amount of vitamin C. They are also mildly laxative, a diuretic, and diaphoretic. Flavonoids, including quercetin, are believed to account for the therapeutic actions of the elderberry flowers and berries. According to test tube studies these flavonoids include anthocyanin’s that are powerful antioxidants and protect cells against damage.
Elderberries were listed in the CRC Handbook of Medicinal Herbs as early as 1985, and are listed in the 2000 Mosby's Nursing Drug reference for colds, flu, yeast infections, nasal and chest congestion, and hay fever. In Israel, Hadassah’s Oncology Lab has determined that elderberry stimulates the body's immune system and they are treating cancer and AIDS patients with it.
Elderberries contain high levels of vitamin A, which helps soothe the skin, help ease the appearance of age spots, and prevent or lessen wrinkles.
People have used elderberries for their potential health-boosting properties for many years, most notably to fight colds and the flu.
Elderberries contain high levels of fibre. Consuming elderberries as part of a healthful diet may lead to some health benefits, including protection from cardiovascular disease and colorectal cancer.
BILBERRY EXTRACT
Bilberry is a perennial shrub (∼ 35–60 cm in height) and belongs to the Ericaceae family, which grows in coniferous forests, moors and meadows of northern Europe and America, but it is also present in Asia. It is also known as European blueberry, huckleberry or whortleberry. It blooms from April through June, producing spheroidal blue/black colored fruits (∼5-9 mm in diameter) with many seeds that ripe from July through September. Its name is due to the intense color of the fruits and derives from the Danish word “bollebar” (dark berry). Bilberry is commonly known as a “super food”, due to its richness in health promoting compounds with several biological properties. Particularly, represents a rich source of anthocyanins, compounds that in the last years have gained research attention due to the numerous functions and applications.
Bilberry is the fruit of Vaccinium myrtillus. It originates in northern and central Europe. It is administered as a tea, historically for the amelioration of diarrhea and for mouth and throat inflammations. During World War II, British Royal Air Force pilots ate bilberry preserves to improve their vision on night sorties. Following the war, investigation confirmed that the extracts could improve visual acuity and accommodation between light and dark. The antidiarrheal properties are attributed to tannins that develop upon drying, the antiinflammatory action to a decrease in vascular permeability attributed to anthocyanoside cross-linking of collagen, and the visual effects are associated with the anthocyanidins.
Bilberry, (Vaccinium myrtillus), also called whortleberry, low-growing deciduous shrub belonging to the heath family (Ericaceae). It is found in woods and on heaths, chiefly in hilly districts of Great Britain, northern Europe, and Asia. The fruits are a principal food of the grouse and are used for tarts and preserves.
The stiff stems, 15 to 60 cm (6 to 24 inches) high, bear small egg-shaped leaves with serrated margins and small, globose, rosy flowers tinged with green. Bilberry is partly self-sterile but has been hybridized with the lingonberry (V. vitis-idaeus). The dark blue berries, ripening in July and August, have a waxy bloom and are about 1 cm (0.4 inch) in diameter. The berries are borne singly, in contrast to those of the much more productive cultivated blueberries (Vaccinium species) of the United States, which are borne in short clusters.
ASHWAGANDHA EXTRACT
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera, fam. Solanaceae) is commonly known as “Indian Winter cherry” or “Indian Ginseng”. It is one of the most important herb of Ayurveda (the traditional system of medicine in India) used for millennia as a Rasayana for its wide ranging health benefits. Rasayana is described as an herbal or metallic preparation that promotes a youthful state of physical and mental health and expands happiness. These types of remedies are given to small children as tonics, and are also taken by the middle-aged and elderly to increase longevity. Among the ayurvedic Rasayana herbs, Ashwagandha holds the most prominent place. It is known as “Sattvic Kapha Rasayana” Herb (Changhadi, 1938). Most of the Rasayana herbs are adaptogen / anti-stress agents.
Ashwagandha is commonly available as a churna, a fine sieved powder that can be mixed with water, ghee (clarified butter) or honey. It enhances the function of the brain and nervous system and improves the memory. It improves the function of the reproductive system promoting a healthy sexual and reproductive balance. Being a powerful adaptogen, it enhances the body's resilience to stress. Ashwagandha improves the body's defense against disease by improving the cell-mediated immunity. It also possesses potent antioxidant properties that help protect against cellular damage caused by free radicals.
The biologically active chemical constituents of Withania somnifera (WS) include alkaloids (isopelletierine, anaferine, cuseohygrine, anahygrine, etc.), steroidal lactones (withanolides, withaferins) and saponins. Sitoindosides and acylsterylglucosides in Ashwagandha are anti-stress agents. Active principles of Ashwagandha, for instance the sitoindosides VII-X and Withaferin-A, have been shown to have significant anti-stress activity against acute models of experimental stress. Many of its constituents support immunomodulatory actions. The aerial parts of Withania somnifera yielded 5-dehydroxy withanolide-R and withasomniferin-A.
Ashwagandha has been used as a Rasayana. The root of Ashwagandha is regarded as tonic, aphrodisiac, narcotic, diuretic, anthelmintic, astringent, thermogenic and stimulant. The root smells like horse (“ashwa”), that is why it is called Ashwagandha (on consuming it gives the power of a horse). It is commonly used in emaciation of children (when given with milk, it is the best tonic for children), debility from old age, rheumatism, vitiated conditions of vata, leucoderma, constipation, insomnia, nervous breakdown, goiter etc. The paste formed when roots are crushed with water is applied to reduce the inflammation at the joints. It is also locally applied in carbuncles, ulcers and painful swellings. The root in combination with other drugs is prescribed for snake venom as well as in scorpion-sting. It also helps in leucorrhoea, boils, pimples, flatulent colic, worms and piles. The Nagori Ashwagandha is the supreme among all Ashwagandha varieties. Maximum benefit appears when fresh Ashwagandha powder is used.
The leaves are bitter and are recommended in fever, painful swellings. The flowers are astringent, depurative, diuretic and aphrodisiac. The seeds are anthelmintic and combined with astringent and rock salt remove white spots from the cornea. Ashwagandharishta prepared from it is used in hysteria, anxiety, memory loss, syncope, etc. It also acts as a stimulant and increases the sperm count.
GINKGO BILOBA EXTRACT
Ginkgo biloba L. (Ginkgoaceae) is an ancient tree growing in China for centuries; however, it was only during the last couple of decades that its true value was recognized, being considered sacred for its health-promoting properties. The medical interest in western G. biloba has increased since the 1980s, due to its potent action on cardiovascular system and cerebral vascular activity. In recent decades, in Western countries, the concentrated extracts of the leaves have been marketed as herbal medicines due to the presence of bioactive components (e.g., terpenoids, polyphenols, organic acids, carbohydrates, essential fatty acids, inorganic salts and amino acids), and to the capacity to increase microcirculation in brain (with the supply of oxygen and nutrients) and in body extremities. Thus, it can be useful in the improvement of symptoms of poor memory, impaired mental concentration, particularly in the elderly, for whom this function is sometimes lowered. It also has positive effects in certain situations such as tinnitus (ringing) and hearing capacity altered, bringing also cardiovascular protection due to the ability to prevent platelet aggregation and thrombus formation. Furthermore, due to the antioxidant properties it has been used in Alzheimer's patients.
Brain is particularly prone to damage by reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS) due to five main reasons: the high oxygen required by this organ; the abundance of redox-active metals; the relative deficit in antioxidant systems; the presence of great amount of oxidizable polyunsaturated fatty acids and catecholamines; and the fact that neurons are post-mitotic cells with relatively restricted replacement by progenitor cells during lifetime. Thus, a variety of mechanisms of neuronal degeneration in Alzheimer diseases has been proposed, including formation of free radicals, oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammatory processes, genetic factors, environmental impact factors, apoptosis, among others. Different studies reported that neuronal earliest changes and pathological features of this disease are related to oxidative damage (with a very high input of oxidative stress), mainly in the development of neuritic abnormalities. In fact, paired helical filaments are more often found in neurites with membrane abnormalities, which is indicative of extensive lipid peroxidation . Moreover, crosslinking of proteins by oxidative processes may lead to the resistance of the lesions to intracellular and extracellular removal even though when they are extensively ubiquitinated; this resistance of neurofibrillary tangles to proteolysis might play an important role in the progression of the degenerative disease. In this context, the use of polyphenols may be useful, since they increase the cellular stress response and improve mitochondrial respiration, thus allowing the neuron to counteract free radical-induced damage and produce the ATP necessary to maintain the normal membrane potential.
Taking into account the described relation between antioxidants and Alzheimer's disease, and considering the use of G. biloba in the mentioned pathology, the antioxidant activity of different dietary supplements (syrup and several pills) was evaluated and compared to the leaves infusion, aqueous and methanolic extracts. Furthermore, G. biloba was chemically characterized in nutritional and bioactive Components.
Ginkgo biloba is chemically composed of Macronutrients such as moisture, proteins, fat, carbohydrates and ash; free sugar; Organic acids and tocopherols.

The whole aboveground plant (herb) of TT is used for medicinal purposes including whole or cut stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits. It has no specific smell or taste. However, according to the monograph of the World Health Organization, the fruits are the basic material for use. Overall, the fruit chemical composition has been examined most often, the shoots less often, and the separate different vegetative parts rarely. Several groups of NP in TT were established: steroids, saponins, flavonoids, sterols, Harman alkaloids, minerals, lignan amides, and cinnamic acid amides18,31. The basic plant medicinal properties are defined by the presence of steroidal saponins having a furostanol or spirostanol nucleus, glycosylated in 3 and/or 26 positions with linear and branched glycosidic units. They are specific for the species’ chemical composition.
It is used in folk medicines as a tonic, aphrodisiac, palliative, astringent, stomachic, antihypertensive, diuretic, lithotriptic, and urinary disinfectant. The dried fruit of the herb is very effective in most of the genitourinary tract disorders. It is a vital constituent of Gokshuradi Guggul, a potent Ayurvedic medicine used to support proper functioning of the genitourinary tract and to remove the urinary stones. TT has been used for centuries in Ayurveda to treat impotence, venereal diseases, and sexual debility. In Bulgaria, the plant is used as a folk medicine for treating impotence. In addition to all these applications, the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India attributes cardiotonic properties to the root and fruit. In traditional Chinese medicine, the fruits were used for treatment of eye trouble, edema, abdominal distension, emission, morbid leukorrhea, and sexual dysfunction. TT is described as a highly valuable drug in the Shern-Nong Pharmacopoeia (the oldest known pharmacological work in China) in restoring the depressed liver, for treatment of fullness in the chest, mastitis, flatulence, acute conjunctivitis, headache, and vitiligo. In Unani medicine, TT is used as diuretic, mild laxative, and general tonic.
It has been found that utilization of the above-mentioned method with combinations of products results in a dehydrated composition that is homogeneous and resistant to separation of the components. That is, the ratio of the components is retained in the dried product. The method produces a dehydrated product with a density similar to that obtained by spray-drying / sun drying and the like, but with retention in heat-labile constituents similar to that obtained via freeze-drying.
Products which may be utilized in the combinations for drying include but are not limited to berries, fruits, herbs, vitamins, barks, roots, nuts, legumes, and extracts or purified extracts of berries, fruits, herbs, vitamins, barks, roots, nuts, or legumes including including Mangosteen, Safed Musli,Siberian ginseng, Elderberry, Bilberry, Ashwagandha, Ginkgo Biloba ,Manjistha Sigru, Shatavari, Punarnava and Gokshura.
The extracts of any of aforesaid ingredients may be liquefied by any process, filtered or unfiltered and combined. In some embodiment, the extracts are combined in a ratio of less than 1% to greater than 99% in the liquid form. The liquid combinations are then dried using the methods of the invention to form a gel, a film, a flake, or a powder that retains the original homogeneity of the liquid. The form of the dried product depends on several factors, such as composition of original components, temperature of drying, residence time on the dryer, moisture content of the product, and polysaccharide content of the product. For example, products with higher polysaccharide content tend to result in more filmlike products. In some embodiments of the invention, the form of the dried product may be controlled by controlling the above-mentioned factors. For example, if a film is desired, then polysaccharide may be added to the liquid composition. Films may be converted to flakes or powders, and flakes may be converted to powders with further processing of the dried product.
Homogeneity of the product may be determined by methods known to those skilled in the art. It is known in the art that dry blends containing different combinations of food, herbs, supplements or extracts of food or herbs can experience separation of constituents due to different densities even when particle size is similar. Such separations occur, for example, during transport of the mixtures. The present combinations of dried blends, however, do not undergo a separation of constituents under these circumstances. In some embodiments, the homogeneity of the dried product is retained for at least about three years.
The dried blends of the present invention can be used in a variety of applications. The combinations of ingredients or purified extracts of said ingredients remain homogeneous in dehydrated form will improve the ease of formulations and standardize the constituents of the product. Standardization of constituents will improve the dependability of sensory attributes, nutrients and bioactivities of the combinations. Bioavailability of nutrients may be improved in the presence of aloe and the nutritional value of the foods, supplements or extracts. The dried products may be reconstituted with water. The dried blends can be used as a preformulation for the preparation of food, supplemental, therapeutic or cosmetic products.
As to the preparation of capsules of the dried blends, for example, as nutritional supplements, the dried blends of the present invention are suitable for use in an encapsulation process since they are homogeneous and would not encounter difficulties with ingredient flow that may be present in nonhomogeneous mixtures.
The dried blends of the present invention may be used in compositions for various uses, such as therapeutic, cosmetic, and nutritional uses. For example, the dried blends may be formulated in a composition that contains a therapeutic agent. The therapeutic agent may be present either as part of the dried blend, or as part of a further composition.
As noted above, the dried composition of the present invention can be present in various drug delivery system, including gels, films, flakes, and powders. The form of the dried composition will inform the addition of other components for a particular use. If necessary the composition may be milled at any suitable stage of the process. A suitable sterilization procedure may also be included if necessary. Alternatively raw materials are obtained in sterile condition and the compositions are produced aseptically.
