The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.
FIELD OF INVENTION
[0001] Embodiments of a present disclosure relate to battery pack, and more particularly to a packaging apparatus for a battery pack.
BACKGROUND
[0002] For running the hybrid electrical vehicles there is a mandatory requirement of Electrical power which is generated by number of Battery cells or even identical batteries, which also helps in working of various important accessories of the vehicle. It is obvious to note that the arrangement of battery cells is usually placed in sequential order in series or parallel. When the battery cells are properly arranged and packed in such a way for production of desired output then such a packed structure is referred to as Battery pack.
[0003] In order to provide longer longevity and keep the functionality on a long term basis, the battery holders are used. This ensures that the battery cells get isolated from the nearby structures to prevent any damages or issues that occur on placing battery cells along with nearby structures.
[0004] In a conventional or a standard battery pack, battery packs include cell holders which are constructed to hold the battery cells in place. However, a slight movement in the battery pack leads to misplacement of the battery cells as the conventional battery pack lacks to provide rigid support and structural requirements for the battery cells in the battery pack. Also, the conventional battery pack has limited features in order to meet the functional requirements of the battery pack. Such limitations make the battery pack assembly more complex for mechanical electrical and thermal components to sync with the battery pack. Henceforth, such standard battery packs lack the structural requirement of the battery pack along with the compactness and flexibility. Such lack of structural requirement and flexibility makes the standard battery pack less reliable and hence less efficient.
[0005] In the conventional or standard battery packs, the battery pack is packaged in a square or a rectangular casing to bind together the battery cells. Moreover, such a packaging lacks to provide high stability and structural support for the battery cells in any critical situation. In addition, the battery holder must be efficient for cooling and heat dissipation. However, the standard battery pack while providing an arrangement for cooling and heat dissipation misses out on rigidity and firm structural support. The conventional packaging structure fails to address these issues related to battery packs.
[0006] Hence there is a need for an improved packaging apparatus for a battery pack to address the aforementioned issues.
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED BY THE INVENTION
[0007] In the conventional packaging structure there is absence of packaging apparatus to protect the plurality of battery cells and various issues reported. The issues may include heat dissipation mises, poor stability, lack of rigid support to other associated members of the battery pack, lack of firmness etc. Hence the primary objective of the present invention is to provide the packaging structure with firm structural support and provide high stability and firmness to the lithium ion battery cells arrangement when the vehicle is set into motion that is dynamic case or compactness when the vehicle is at rest that is static case.
[0008] Thus, another objective of the present invention is to address the issues involving heat dissipation and compactness to the battery pack. To be precise, the present invention apparatus is designed to work in both static and dynamic cases i.e hybrid or electric vehicles are subjected to motion or at rest.
