perforated plate (26), wherein the plurality of circular shaped holes (32) is
adapted to channel lubrication oil from the bore (24) defined through said roller
tappet body (12) and therein deliver the lubrication oil to said roller (14)
20 positioned within said roller tappet body (12) such that lubrication oil flows
through the opposing interfaces between said roller (14) and said roller tappet body (12).
4. The high pressure fuel pump in accordance with Claim 2 wherein said
25 perforated plate (26) comprises a plurality of circular shaped holes (32) defined
from a first end of said perforated plate (26) to an opposite second end of said
perforated plate (26), wherein the plurality of circular shaped holes is
concentrated on a first side than on an opposite second side with reference to a
longitudinal axis of said perforated plate (26) to channel lubrication oil from
30 the bore (24) defined through said roller tappet body (12) and therein deliver
the lubrication oil to said roller (14) positioned within said roller tappet body
(12) such that a higher volume of lubrication oil flows to the first end portion
(16) of said roller tappet body (12) as compared to the opposing 5 second end
portion (18) of said roller tappet body (12).
5. The high pressure fuel pump in accordance with Claim 2 wherein said
perforated plate (26) comprises a plurality of circular shaped holes (32) defined
10 from a first end of said perforated plate (26) to an opposite second end of said
perforated plate (26), wherein the plurality of circular shaped holes has a
greater diameter on the side facing the roller tappet body (12), and wherein the
plurality of circular shaped holes has a smaller diameter on the side facing the
roller (14) to channel lubrication oil from the bore (24) defined through said
15 roller tappet body (12) and therein deliver the lubrication oil to said roller (14)
positioned within said roller tappet body (12) such that lubrication oil is
delivered at a greater velocity from the side facing the roller (14) in contrast to
the side facing the roller tappet body (12) through the opposing interfaces of
