DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[00026] Various features and embodiments of the present invention here will be discernible from the following further description thereof, set out hereunder. Further, in the following detailed description, reference is made to the accompanying drawings, which form a part hereof. In the drawings, similar symbols typically identify similar components, unless context dictates otherwise. The illustrative embodiments described in the detailed description, drawings, and claims are not meant to be limiting. Other embodiments may be used, and other changes may be made, without departing from the spirit or scope of the subject matter presented herein. It will be readily understood that the aspects of the present disclosure, as generally described herein, and illustrated in the Figures, can be arranged, substituted, combined, separated, and designed in a wide variety of different configurations, all of which are explicitly contemplated herein.
[000271 In one aspect of the present invention, a portable exercise device comprises a hook, a plurality of slots, a pin, and a frame. The frame is made up of a pair of circular sections. Each section comprises of a pair of circular slotted frame members inter-connected at the middle and can be fixed to the ground via vacuum holes when laid horizontally above the ground. The frame having the plurality of slots in which the hook is guided and fixed in the desired position which is attached to a bar via rubber bands that creates sufficient force when the bar is lifted up by standing on the frames. The tension created by the rubber is
equivalent to the force that a weight bar generates. Due to the generation of weight bar, the user performs regular exercise similar to a gym.
[00028] The aforesaid and other advantages of the present subject matter would be described in greater detail in conjunction with the figures in the following description.
[00029] Figure 1 illustrates a top view of a portable exercise device (100) in accordance with an embodiment of the present subject matter. The portable exercise device (100) comprises a hook (1), a plurality of slots (2), a pin (3), and a frame (4). The hook (1) is for connecting the resisting elastic band. The hook (1) is adjusted along the slot at any angle. The plurality of slots (2) are provided to accommodate the hook (1) and provide a path for movement of the hook (1) along the plurality of slots (2).
[00030] The two halves of the frame (4) of the system are complete one part of the frame (4) which has the plurality of slots (2) circumferentially. Before connecting the two halves of the frame (4), the two hook (1) is attached along the plurality of slots (2). Those two halves of the frame (4) are connected together with the help of the Pin (3). The Pin (3) is to connect two halves of the frame (4) together. The frame (4) is made up of a pair of circular sections. Each section comprises of a pair of circular slotted frame members inter-connected at the middle and can be fixed to the ground via vacuum holes when laid horizontally above the ground. This advantage of the circular design over rectangular design is that it is having flexibility in changing of the hook (1) position which provides variation in force.
[00031] The frame (4) having the plurality of slots (2) in which the hook (1) is guided and fixed in the desired position which is attached to a handle (10-shown in figure 3a) via rubber bands (8-shown in figure 3a) that creates sufficient force when the bar is lifted up by standing on the frame (4). The tension created by the rubber is equivalent to the force that a weight bar generates. Due to the generation of weight bar, the user performs regular exercise similar to a gym.
[00032] Figure 2 illustrates another top view of the portable exercise device (100) in accordance with another embodiment of the present subject matter. The portable exercise device (100) comprises a plurality of holding slots (5). The plurality of holding slots (5) are provided to accommodate push-up bars. The plurality of holding slots (5) are provided in the frame (4) at a pre-determined range of angle. The pre-determined range of angle for the plurality of holding slots (5) is determined based on the user requirement of a particular exercise. For instance, the angle for accommodating the push-up bar in the plurality of holding slots (5) is specific for an exercise of shoulders. Similarly, the angle for accommodating the push-up bar in the plurality of holding slots (5) varies for exercise of other parts of bodies such as chest, back, and arms etc.
[00033] Further, the angle for accommodating the push-up bar in the plurality of holding slots (5) also varies in accordance with different types of exercise such as wide grip push ups, Close grip push ups, Diamond push ups, Single bar push ups, Mountain climber, L slits, Tricep dips, Handstand push ups etc.
[00034] Figure 3a and Figure 3b illustrates a view showing components (1,8,10) of the portable exercise device (100), and an isometric view of a prototype of the portable exercise device (100) in accordance with an embodiment of the present subject matter. In an embodiment, the portable exercise device (100) comprises a handle (10), and at-least a tension elastic band (8). The hook (1) and the handle (10) is attached through at-least the tension elastic band (8). The hook (1) connects with the frame (4). The handle (10) is for the user to hold and do exercise with the portable exercise device (100). The tension elastic band (8) is the attachment link between the hook (1), and the handle (10). In another words, the tension elastic band (8) is the attachment link between man and machine.
[00035] The tension elastic band (8) comprises a first end (8a), and a second end (8b). The first end (8a) of the tension elastic band (8) connects with the hook (1), and the second end (8b) of the tension elastic band (8) connects with the handle (10). In present embodiment, terms like connect or attach are used interchangeably.
[00036] The hook (1) remains guided and fixed in the desired position for attaching with the handle (10). The desired position is determined based on the user requirement of a particular exercise. Further, the frame (4) having the slots (2, 5) in which the hook (1) is guided and fixed in the desired position which is attached to the handle (10) through the tension elastic band (8) that creates sufficient force when the bar is lifted up by standing on the frame (4). The tension created by the tension elastic band (8) is equivalent to the force that a weight bar generates. Due to the generation of weight bar, the user performs regular exercise similar to the gym.
[00037] In one aspect of the present invention, a method of assembling the portable exercise device (100) is disclosed. The method comprises majorly four steps. Firstly, fixing the first end (8a) of the tension elastic band (8) with the hook (1), and the second end (8b) of the tension elastic band (8) with the handle (10). Secondly, attaching the hook (1) to one of the plurality of slots (2) of the frame (4). Thirdly, placing the frame (4) in accordance with user and exercise requirement. Finally, fitting the push- bar in the plurality of holding slots (5). With-the above mentioned assembling method of the portable exercise device (100), it is clear and establish that the portable exercise device (100) does not require big set-up assembling.
[00038] Further, the portable exercise device (100) and system is a portable, foldable and freestanding exercise device. Due to which a user can carry the device (100) with him or her anywhere in the world.
[00039] Furthermore, the portable exercise device (100) is having the circular design which provide it a wide load variation which helps in engaging different muscle group during exercise.
[00040] While preferred embodiments of the present subject matter have been described above, it is to be understood that variations and modifications will be apparent to those skilled in the art without departing the scope and spirit of the present subject matter.
[00041] While considerable emphasis has been placed herein on the particular features of this invention, it will be appreciated that various modifications can be made, and that many changes can be made in the preferred embodiments without departing from the principles of the invention. These and other modifications in the nature of the invention or the preferred embodiments will be apparent to those skilled in the art from the disclosure herein, whereby it is to be distinctly understood that the foregoing descriptive matter is to be interpreted merely as illustrative of the invention and not as a limitation.
