Abstract: Abstract A Portable Oil Heating Device A portable oil heating device comprises a housing body (100) provided to hold a bowl (101) on the top end thereof. A heating assembly (102) disposed of in the lower portion of the body (100) is provided to heat the oil contained in the bowl (101). An indicator (103) is provided to indicate that the device (100) is switched on for heating the oil. PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates to a portable oil heating device. In particular, this invention relates to a portable device for use to heat the oil / herbal oil as per the requirement and maintain temperature of the hot oil to keep it warm moderately or in a lukewarm condition for use during the massage process and / or oil therapy at anyplace and anytime.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
It is always preferred, from ancient times, to use warm / lukewarm oil / herbal oil for massaging the body and scalp. The oil gives the best result at a specific range of temperatures. In the heating process, we heat the oil by a traditional way, where we assume the range of temperature but some time, the oil is heated over the range of temperature or the oil is overheated and some of the oils lose their properties, due to overheating and also show side effects, for example, hair loss, itching, etc. Also, in traditional oil heating, it is difficult to maintain the temperature of oil for a long time as required in a long massaging or oil therapy process.
US Patent No. US4095090, discloses a device for heating liquid material comprising a container formed of dielectric material with a base, a sidewall and a detachable handle, an electrical heating unit embedded in said container, said heating unit having two heating leads, the first heating lead connected to a first electricity conducting tang mounted on the sidewall and the second heating lead connected to a switch mounted on the base, said switch having a switch lead connected to a second electricity conducting tang mounted on the sidewall, said handle including a battery with first and second battery leads connected to cooperating electricity conducting sockets, said tangs cooperating with said sockets and providing means for structural and electrical connection of the detachable handle to the sidewall, said switch responsive to changes in the position of the container when the container is picked up by the user.
Denmark patent application DE202005017041, discloses a device for heating a liquid, in particular a kettle (2), with a container (4) for receiving the liquid to be heated, the wall (5) is at least partially translucent, with an electric heater, an electrical or electronic control device (22) and one with the control device (22) cooperating temperature sensor (24), and one with the control device (22) cooperating illumination device (18) for illuminating the container in different colors as a function of the temperature of the liquid, wherein the temperature of the liquid in the container (4) during heating continuously or quasi-continuously through the temperature sensor (24) is detectable and a signal of the temperature sensor (24) to the control device (22), which then depends on the signal of the temperature sensor (24) the illumination device (18) for illumination with the color corresponding to the temperature.
Indian Patent No. 259516 (783/DEL/2005), discloses a comb for temperature and volume controlled oiling and massaging of scalp, which comprises a multi-tooth comb, characterized in that the said comb has one hollow tooth, the upper end of the said hollow tooth being connected through a tube to a syringe end suited in the handle of the said comb, the said syringe being provided with a peripherally embedded heating element having thermostatic control and a push-switch, both the thermostatic control and the push-switch being connected to a power source, the said push-switch being positioned such that the piston of the said syringe on being pulled back by a the piston handle pushes the said switch of the said heating element to "ON" position indicated by a light emitting diode.
There are disadvantages associated with the conventional devices used for liquid heating. One of the disadvantages is that the liquid / oil is overheated or under heated.
Another disadvantage associated with the conventional devices is that the overheating or under heating of the liquid, specially oil results in damaging the quality of oil and thus the scalp.
Yet another disadvantage associated with the conventional devices is that the overheating or under heating of the oil results in loss of natural ingredients present in the oil and usefulness of the oil is lost.
Therefore, there is a need to invent a device for heating oil and solves all the disadvantages of conventional devices and / or processes of liquid / oil heating.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a portable oil heating device which obviates the disadvantages associated with the prior art.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a portable oil heating device having means to control the temperature of the oil at the desired temperature.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a portable oil heating device which increases the efficiency of the oil as it is heated to the required temperature needed to increase efficiency.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a portable oil heating device which heats the oil needed to invigorate hair growth providing the hair with a great structure.
A further object of the present invention is to provide a portable oil heating device having auto cut-off technology.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
A portable oil heating device comprising a housing body provided to hold a bowl on the top end thereof, a heating assembly disposed in the lower portion of the body being provided to heat the oil contained in the bowl, an indicator being provided to indicate that the device is switched on for heating the oil, a plug adapted to be connected with the heating assembly being provide to be plugged into a power supply socket so as to supply electric power to the heating assembly.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
A portable oil heating device is herein described with numerous specific details so as to provide a complete understanding of the invention. However these specific details are exemplary details and should not be treated as a limitation to the scope of the invention. Throughout this specification the word “comprise” or variations such as “comprises or comprising”, will be understood to imply the inclusions of a stated element, integer or step, or group of elements, integers or steps, but not the exclusions of any other element, integer or step or group of elements, integers or steps.
Referring to the drawings, particularly figure 1A and 1B, portable oil heating device according to this invention comprises a housing body (100) provided to hold a bowl (101) (figure 3) on the top end thereof. The bowl (101) is provided for containing oil which is to be heated for use during the massage process and / or oil therapy at anyplace and anytime. A heating assembly (102) (figure 2) is disposed in the lower portion of the body (100) such that to heat the oil contained in the bowl (101). An indicator (103) is provided to indicate that the device (100) is switched on for heating the oil. A male plug (104) adapted to be connected with the heating assembly is provide to be plugged into a power supply socket so as to supply electric power to the heating assembly (102). The plug, in one embodiment, comprises pins (104A) and (104B) and is provided integrally with the housing body (100) to plug-in the housing body (100) of the oil heating device in a power socket.
In one embodiment the housing (100) comprises an upper portion (100a) adapted to be secured with a lower portion (100b) such that to accommodate the heating assembly (102) therein. The housing is made of a plastic material, for example, Polypropylene. Bowl (101) is made of metal, for example, aluminium and any other suitable metal. The housing body (100), in one embodiment, is made of a heat resistant and electric resistance materials, for example, glass-filled polymer.
Referring to figure 2, the heating assembly (102) comprises a heating element (200) such that to receive electric power through the plug (104). A metallic heating ring (201) is provided in the centre of the heating element (200) such that to be heated by heating element (200) and transfer the heat to the bowl (101) (figure 3) mounted on the heating ring (201). A thermal protector (202) is connected with the heating element (200) in series such that disconnect the power supply as soon as the heating element is heated to a pre-set temperature. The thermal protector (202) senses the heat / temperature of the oil bowl (101) and snap the power supply to the heating element (200) as auto-cut off action. The auto-cut off action is performed after the oil bowl (101) gets heated up to the desired temperature. In one embodiment the thermal protector (202) may be a bi-metallic thermostat with a plastic cover. The snapping of the power source enables the indicator (103) to turn off thereby the entire device (100) stops functioning and is termed as auto–cut off. The thermal protector (202), in one embodiment, is provided to activate the power source which enables the indicator (103) to turn on thereby the entire device starts functioning. Subsequently, the user understands that the oil is warmed up and is ready for use. Subsequently, the temperature of the device (100) is reduced gradually and the thermal protector (202) starts functioning again after an interval of couple of minutes.
A diode (203) is provided to deliver the required power supply to the heating element (200). The diode (203) is electrically coupled with the heating element (200) to control the activation and deactivation of the indicator (103) when the temperature of the heating element (200) is below and above the predetermined temperature. In one embodiment, a diode (203) is connected with the heating element (200) such that to convert AC current into DC current. An indicator (103) is connected with the heating element to indicate that the oil heating device is switched on. The heating element (200) comprises, for example, a carbon filling resistor, a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor, a heater, and the like.
The oil heating device is designed in order to generate the predetermined heat for warming the herbal based oil for a smaller quantity. The housing (100) comprises an upper portion (100a) adapted to be secured with a lower portion (100b) and these parts are made of plastics with Polypropylene. The indicator (103) is deactivated when the oil is heated up to the predetermined temperature.
Certain features of the invention have been described with reference to the exemplary embodiments. However, the description is not intended to be construed in a limiting sense. Various modifications of the exemplary embodiments as well as other embodiments of the invention, which are apparent to the persons skilled in the art to which the invention pertains, are deemed to lie within the spirit and scope of the invention.


,CLAIMS:We claim:
1. A portable oil heating device comprising a housing body (100) provided to hold a bowl (101) on the top end thereof, a heating assembly (102) disposed in the lower portion of the body (100) being provided to heat the oil contained in the bowl (101), an indicator (103) being provided to indicate that the device (100) is switched on for heating the oil, a plug (104) adapted to be connected with the heating assembly being provide to be plugged into a power supply socket so as to supply electric power to the heating assembly (102).
2. The portable heating device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the housing comprises an upper portion adapted to be secured with a lower portion such that to accommodate the heating assembly therein.
3. The portable heating device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the housing is made of a plastic material with Polypropylene.
4. The portable oil heating device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the housing body is of heat resistance and electric resistance materials, for example, glass-filled polymer.
5. The portable heating device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the bowl is made of metal, for example, aluminium and any other suitable metal.
6. The portable heating device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plug is provided integrally with the housing.
7. The portable oil heating device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the housing body is of heat resistance and electric resistance materials, for example, glass-filled polymer.
8. The portable oil heating device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the heating assembly (102) comprise a heating element (200) having metallic heating ring (201) is provided in the centre of the heating element (200) such that to be heated by heating element (200) and transfer the heat to the bowl (101), a thermal protector (202) connected with the heating element such that to disconnect the power supply when the oil is heating to a pre-set temperature.
9. The portable oil heating device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the heating element comprises, for example, a carbon filling resistor, a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor, a heater, and the like.
10. The portable oil heating device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the thermal protector is connected with the heating element in series.
