FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a Position Measurement Arrangement System. In particular , a system through which the position of the Control Valve Servo Motor (CVSM) can be accurately measured and converted to electrical signal for feedback to the Electro-Hydraulic Governor.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In the existing 200/210 MW LMZ steam turbine sets, the Hydro-Mechanical governing system have been envisaged wherein electrical feedback signals for accurate measurement of the position of the CVSM is not present.
However, for introduction of Electro-Hydraulic Governing (EHG) in these sets, need has been felt for the accurate feedback of position of CVSM.

Hence this Position Measurement Arrangement has been developed which will be mounted on the existing CVSM at site.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The object of present invention is to provide a system to measure the accurate position of CVSM movement.
Another object of present invention is to provide a system where the measured position will be converted to electrical signal.
A further object of present invention is to provide the electrical signal as a feedback signal to Electro Hydraulic Converter in the EHG Governing system in 200/210 MW LMZ steam turbines.
Yet another object of present invention is to introduce Electro-Hydraulic governing in the existing 200/210 MW LMZ steam turbine sets with the help of accurate feedback of position of CVSM.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
According to Figure 1, the holder (2) acts as a major subassembly which holds the magnet of Position Transmitter (1) at one end and is fixed to the Control Valve Servo Motor (CVSM) at the other end.
The Position Transmitter (1) will receive the mechanical movement of the CVSM through the holder, measure the position of CVSM on the basis of movement and convert the mechanical signal to electrical signal. The holder (2) provided in the system carries the magnet of Position Transmitter (1) through the entire stroke of CVSM, to measure the position of CVSM. The smooth vertical movement of the holder is ensured by the Guiding Bracket (3). The Ring (5) used in the present

invention is utilised to act as a means to fix the holder which will transfer the mechanical signal of CVSM to Position Transmitter (1) while the latter will convert the mechanical signal to electrical signal. This generated electrical signal which will reflect the accurate position of CVSM is sent to Electro-Hydraulic Converter as an electrical feedback. With the help of this electrical feedback of position of CVSM, an Electro-Hydraulic governing can be introduced in the existing 200/210 MW LMZ steam turbines which are equipped with Hydro-Mechanical governing system.

WE CLAIM
1. A Position Measurement System of a Control Valve Servomotor
(CVSM) comprising:
a holding means to fix the position transmitter (1) at one end and to fix the CVSM at the other extreme end wherein the said position transmitter receives the mechanical movement of the CVSM thereby measuring the position on its basis and converts the mechanical signal to electrical signal.
2. The Position Measurement System of a CVSM as claimed in claim
1, wherein the said holding means carries the magnet of position
transmitter (1) through the entire length of CVSM.
3. The Position Measurement System of a CVSM as claimed in claim
2, wherein the movement of holding means is ensured by Guiding
bracket (3).

4. The Position Measurement System of a CVSM as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mechanical signal of CVSM is transferred to the position transmitter by means of a ring (5).
5. The Position Measurement System of a CVSM as claimed in claim 1, wherein the electrical signal is fed to Electro-Hydraulic Converter as an Electrical feedback.
