Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a priming setup (101) for a low pressure circuit (100) of a vehicle. The priming setup (101) primarily 5 comprises a vacuum pump unit (106), a valve assembly (105) and at least a diaphragm pump unit (107) amongst other components such as first end connector (111) and a second end connector (112). The first end connector (111) is adapted to connect to an outlet of a fuel filter (103) in the low pressure 10 circuit (100). The valve assembly (105) is downstream the first inlet connector. The valve assembly (105) is in fluid communication with the vacuum pump unit (106). The vacuum pump unit (106) comprises a vacuum tank (110) and at least a vacuum pump. The diaphragm pump unit (107) in fluid communication with the valve assembly (105). The second 15 end connector (112) adapted to connect to an inlet of the fuel pump (104).
Claims:1. A priming setup (101) for a low pressure circuit (100) of a vehicle,
the low pressure circuit (100) comprising a fuel tank (102), a fuel
filter (103) and at least a fuel pump (104), the 5 fuel tank (102) in
fluid communication with the fuel filter (103), the fuel filter (103)
in fluid communication with the fuel pump (104), the priming setup
(101) comprising:
a first end connector (111) adapted to connect to the outlet of
10 the fuel filter (103);
a valve assembly (105) downstream the first inlet connector,
the valve assembly (105) in fluid communication with a
vacuum pump unit (106);
the vacuum pump unit (106) comprising a vacuum tank (110)
15 and at least a vacuum pump;
a diaphragm pump unit (107) in fluid communication with
the valve assembly (105);
a second end connector (112) adapted to connect to the inlet
of the fuel pump (104).
2. The priming setup (101) for a low pressure circuit (100) as claimed
in claim 1, where the valve assembly (105) comprises a three port
valve or a plurality of two port valves.
3. The priming setup (101) for a low pressure circuit (100) as claimed
in claim 1, where the valve assembly (105) is in fluid
communication with the fuel filter (103).
4. The priming setup (101) for a low pressure circuit 5 (100) as claimed
in claim 1, where the diaphragm pump unit (107) comprises at least
an accumulator (107).
5. The priming setup (101) for a low pressure circuit (100) as claimed
10 in claim 1, where the diaphragm pump unit (107) is adapted to be
in fluid communication with the fuel pump (104).
6.A method (200) of operating a priming set-up for a low pressure
circuit (100) of a vehicle, the low pressure circuit (100) comprising
15 a fuel tank (102), a fuel filter (103) and at least a fuel pump (104),
the fuel tank (102) in fluid communication with a fuel filter (103),
the fuel filter (103) in fluid communication with the fuel pump
(104), the priming setup (101) comprising a first end connector
(111) adapted to connect to an outlet of the fuel filter (103); a valve
20 assembly (105) downstream the first inlet connector, the valve
assembly (105) in fluid communication with a vacuum pump unit
(106); a diaphragm pump unit (107) in fluid communication with
the valve assembly (105); a second end connector (112) adapted to
connect to an inlet of the fuel pump (104), the method comprising:
operating (201) the valve assembly (105) to establish a fluid
communication between the vacuum pump unit (106) and the
outlet of fuel filter (103);
operating (202) the valve assembly (105) and the diaphragm
pump unit (107) to establish a fluid 5 communication between
the vacuum pump unit (106) and the fuel pump (104);
operating (203) the valve assembly (105) to establish a fluid
communication between the diaphragm pump unit (107) and
the inlet of the fuel pump (104).
7.A method of operating a priming set-up for a low pressure circuit
(100) of a vehicle, wherein the where the valve assembly (105)
comprises a three port valve or a plurality of two port valves.
