A Process For Converting Basic Oxygen Furnace Slag Into Blast Furnace Slag Useable In Full Quantity Without Additives In Constructional Applications
Abstract: The process of the current invention makes use of BOF slag produced during BOF steelmaking operations. The process reduces the BOF slag along with fluxes and optionally with iron and manganese ores to BF slag and hot metal in a Blast furnace set-up. The hot metal thus produced is rich in Phosphorous which can be used as pig iron or scrap in steelmaking. The BF slag thus produced can be used in Cement making or other related applications.
