Abstract: The present invention discloses a process for hydrodechlorination of 2,5-dichlorotoluenes to obtain toluene and monochlorotoluenes. Particularly, the present invention discloses a process for hydrodechlorination of dichlorotoluenes, wherein the selectivity for toluene and 3-chlorotoluene is higher.
