A Process For Preparation Of (S) Alpha Ethyl 2 Oxo 1 Pyrrolidine Acetamide
Abstract: A simple, cost-effective process for improving the yield of Levetiracetam by recycling of the undesired enantiomer of levetiracetam of formula (I) by recycling the mixture of the undesired isomer of levetiracetam of formula (I-B), containing small quantities of the desired (S)- isomer of formula (I). The invention is also related to a method for improving the yield of levetiracetam of formula (I) by recycling the undesired isomer of the levetiracetam acid intermediate of formula (II-B), containing small quantities of the desired (S)- isomer of formula (II).
