A Process For The Monoacylation Of Polyols With Alkyl And Aryl Beta Ketoesters
Abstract: A process for the monoacylation of polyols with alkyl and aryl Beta-Ketoesters. A process for the monoacylation of polyols with alkyl and aryl Beta-ketoesters comprising the steps of preparing a mixture of polyol and beta-ketoesters in the proportion range (molar ratio) of 4 to 8 of polyol and 1 of beta-ketoesters, exposing the said mixture to microwave irradiation of 2450 MHz frequency for a period of 1 -15 minutes in the presence of a thermally stabilising agent, to yield monoacyl polyol.
