A Process Of Manufacturing Pitch Bonded Tempered Magnesia Carbon Refractories
There is disclosed an improved pitch bonded tempered magnesia carbon refractories having essentially the following ingredients. (a) Magnesia having not less than 85% by weight magnesium oxide and a bulk density of more than 3.3 g/cm3 (b) Graphite having a fixed carbon at least 90% by weight and (c) Pitch having a coking index of 40-55% and softening point of 80 to 1300C. There is also disclosed a method for its manufacturer.
