A process for the preparation of a transition metal oxide nanopowder of particle size 10 to 20 nm, comprising the steps ofpreparing a solution of the transition metal salt such as herein described and adding a solution of sodium borohydrlde thereto with stirring to obtain a powder;followed by washing, drying and purification to obtain the transition metal oxide nanopowder.
