The following specification particularly describes the nature of the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed;

Introduction
In practice, a television viewer refer or recollects schedule of his favorite program on a given channel as published in Electronic Program Guide in print, electronic media. With change in his physical location or change in set top box or content service provide or its type of broadcast In all probability, thus memorized channel number does not with variation in any of the aforesaid components. This causes inconvenience to subscriber in terms timely loss of embedded information pertaining to crucial business, weather, traffic, private, entertainment, education fronts.
It was partly overcome in past by solutions such as designing a universal remote, application run via smart phone etc. However, the said solutions are not only expensive and needs certain level of TT literacy and lack flexibility of portability with variation in other components of entire ecosystem-Inventors have addressed this technical problem by providing a scientific solution. Inventor has created a "Smart IR Emitter" which is amalgamation of unique hardware and embedded proprietary software. Inventor's remote seamlessly communicates with inventor's web server via a subscriber friendly graphic user interface.
Subscriber needs to register this novel remote on the aforesaid webserver by entering his personal profile comprising of name, address, telephone number, location of viewing, password, captcha code etc. Upon which he get an access to view, edit, save the schedule in the real time updated Electronic Program Guide. Said remote communicates with webserver via its in built wi-fi module, fetches the customized component of the Electronic Program Guide as per the matching & registered subscriber. This information is further communicated to the set top box attached to the viewing display via infrared waves. IR receiver housed on the front panel of the set top box receives the same, and it's inside circuitry decodes the embedded information. It maps up in the RF feed comprising of channel name (frequency), number, and corresponding program schedule. Further, it filters out content matching with subscriber's preferred viewing which is beamed shown on viewer's display.
Smart IR remote being compact, economical, user friendly, low energy consuming, minimal number of buttons, portable device with memory, processor has a natural edge over its prevailing run of the mill remotes. SmarrTtess is due to its dual ability to communicate to web server via RF (WiFi) on one hand and via IR with set top box.

1.0 Field of Invention
Present invention relates generally to a tele communication more specifically radio frequency based connection to a remote webserver via built in wi-fi module of a authenticated hardware device such as smart IR emitter. Internet or its component virtual private network is made used as the medium to access customized and fetch the multimedia data from the centralized web server to smart IR emitter. Further, this device stores, edit and transmits the aforesaid multimedia data in coded format via IR waves to an in built IR receiver of an externa! device such as set top. Such external device can be connected to with display. One of the applications of this invention is to enable television viewer to view his favorite program irrespective of changes in components of viewing ecosystem.
2.0 Background of the invention
Earlier days viewers used to watch television content created, managed, monitored, and transmitted only by government bodies. User's TV sets used to get direct feed from sky via TV antenna to watch limited those channels for limited time. However, with liberalization and opening up of various bands in radio frequency spectrum, multiple private and government channels broadcast their channels either as free or paid content, standard or high definition format. Content viewing has dissolved the geographical boundaries within and outside the nation. Mandatory implementation of the condition access system has forced the user to install the mini satellite dish antenna cabled via set top box which is wired at other end to television display. It has created another tax based revenue stream for exchequer.
As per the viewer's choice of plan and associated business rules of its service providers, the set top box decodes the signal received by the antenna and displays the corresponding content. However, in spite of being aware of the calendar of slot of various programs on plurality of channel, a viewer misses it unless he manually recollects same and toggles channels with remote. Further, remote and set to box should mandatorily fall in line of sight to execute the choice of viewing and associated other functions of a television set.
Missing of particular slot of content in real time can lead to loss of vital/provisionally useful/valid information e.g. real time weather, traffic, stock market, health /clinical, astronomical, defense data. Moreover, one hasao strain his memory to remember the schedule of his favorite program. Further, the same channel number may change with service provider when one switch over to alternative service provides or wish to watch the program at non-home geographical location with different cable /DTH operator.
Few of the universal remotes needs internet enabled computer interface via blue tooth or USB to map the code list corresponding to list of external devices which it can control. However inventor's remote having wi-fi module along with its IR receiver allows it learn code and function not supported by default for a particular device, making it sometimes possible to control devices that the remote was not originally designed to control.
Touch screen remotes comprises of LCD display. User operates virtual buttons i.e. icons on screen to transmit ER signal. Few of the touch-screen remotes are programmed using a GUI on a PC, which allows the user to customize the screens, backgrounds, buttons and even the "actions" the buttons perform
Inventor in his unique design has eliminated the need of this energy consuming, delicate, light sensitive component
Almough smart phone with fR port can be used as remote, others require a physical attachment, or "dongle", be
connected on to the phone when used as a remote. The dongle is required to convert the electrical control signals
from the phone into infrared signals that are required by most home audio visual components for remote control.
Alternatively, dongle less system uses a standalone piece of hardware called a 'gateway', which receives the electrical-control signals from the smartphone in Bluetooth or wi-fi form and forward them on in infrared form to the components to be controlled.
Inventor's remote has overcome this expensive solution by embedding in wi-fi component to fetch the meta data of customized electronic program guide further, IR learning feature enables it to learn incessantly.

3.0 Summary of the invention
Overall Inventor has addressed the integrated problems by designing a novel hardware with embedded software. The smart device is portable, secured and connects to internet over wireless means e.g. blue tooth, wi-fi or wired network as LAN. It has in built ER emitter. The device has a unique identification code which maps his identity as paid/free subscriber to view desired program on multiple channels. Thus the said hardware device auto recall and play in real time the predetermined choice of an episode of a given a program on a specific channel.
Aforesaid device interfaces the set top box and television. Inventor's real time portal maintains data of plurality of subscribers to multiple services provides to multiple channel and multiple program. It also has weekly/monthly or prefixed duration calendar of programs on various channels,
A subscriber with inventor's hardware device christened as "Smart IR Emitter stick - SIRES" logs on to inventors portal by entering his unique identification code and access the aforesaid calendar. Further on authentication, he can program his favorite program on a given channel wim its auto activation in real time. Once he completes the assigning procedure, this schedule is then pushed to subscriber's SIRES device which stores the choice, time slot with user's profile.
Hence whenever a viewer is watching his television interfaced with SIRES +STB, without shuffling with remote, in real time, the system will automatically filter and select the corresponding channel (based upon predetermined choice) map with the time slot. It will alarm the user by sending audio/visual notification. It will further auto activate and display the chosen content.
Even in case of wi-fi module's energizer failure, viewing display device will be enable viewer to view the last frozen choice of program. However, button cell in SIRES will keep the real time clock functioning. It SIRES can immediately switch over to latest choice moment its power and connectivity to web server gets established.
Another version of the afore described smart IR emitter stick is with its embedded software, it can be directly integrated into the set top box of any original equipment manufacturer to provide above benefits to its subscribers.
Thus the invention relieves user from manual memorization of schedule and associated hazards of missing watching the chosen content. SIRES makes it system dependent, accountable and can also be useful to determine viewership counts. The inventor's portal generates lot of statistical information about patterns of viewership which can help service provider, government, content creators to make desirable changes in the business rules, revenue entertainment, service tax collection etc.
4.0 Detail description of the Invention
It is but natural for any given Subscriber to have variation in choice of program while watching a television from different geographical locations - e.g. office, home, clubs, while in travel etc. Further, mere may be variation in content service provider, set top box, display device e.g. smart TV, Laptop, Desktop, Tablet, Smart Phone, Wearable Computer etc.
Subscriber has wide choice to hear/watch content which is either live or recorded media from public service broadcast, satellite broadcast, cable service provider, CCTV, Video, AM/FM/Satellite radio channel, weather warning etc.
Hence, at any given instant from a fixed location, synergistic effect of integrated variation in aforesaid parameters . forces subscriber to struggle to recollect the channel number and tune the remote accordingly to watch his favorite program.
Task would have been easy had subscriber would have memories universally accepted, unique numerical frequency value assigned to each channel. Due to multiplicity of channel, it is herculean or practically impossible to memories.
Hence, to some extent with a fixed geographical location of subscriber, conventionally the said problem is partly addressed by built and stored algorithm in a hand held remote device. With its IR emitter, said remote device instructs the mapped set top box to switch over the channel depending upon the choice of numerical channel number fed by subscriber. Technically, it maps the frequency look up table associated with each channel number

and its popular (advertised name) name. Once selected channel is tuned up. the display device can show schedule of program. Subsequently, subscriber can prefer his choice of program.
However, as cited earlier with multiplicity of variation in above parameters even with usage of conventional remote, it is impossible when one changes his real time location but prefers to stick to his choice of viewing program on a given channel.
Inventor has technically addressed this problem be embedding smartness in the conventional remote. Such remote is designed with IR emitter, memory, battery, and radio frequency based-communication component,
° Every subscriber needs to register his Smart IR Emitter Remote with inventors managed web server. Upon completion of registration formalities, system issues a unique alphanumeric code which is stored back in remote. Hence, whenever a subscriber powers on the said remote, it immediately connects to above webserver via its RF (Wi-Fi) communication module. Its identity is verified and authenticated. In addition when mapped set top box and display are in power on mode, the program displayed on the TV will be matching the real time choice of viewer. Thus once the EPG and wake up reminder set up by subscriber is downloaded on his SIRES, its connectivity with webserver is snapped thereby extending battery life.
A subscriber on move, via internet connectivity, feeds in alphanumeric number assigned to his remote (he can get
same by SMS or email to his a/c) to the graphical user interface of the application being run from web server. He
accesses the Electronic Program Guide i.e. database of matrix of broadcasting frequency, channel number, channel
name, program schedule, location code/name, etc. He also needs to enter details of set top box e.g make serial
number, name of service provide, his URL etc. He tick marks the appropriate choice of schedule of program and
channel and physical location e.g. home/office etc. This frozen information is send by web server to smart IR
Emitter where it is provisionally stored provisionally. Upon completion of this cycle subscriber can log out from
web server. Smart IR emitter has built in intelligence to check the variation in choice of viewing or any of the
above parameter by reconnecting and disconnecting to web server in gap of customized prefixed interval. Gap
can be altered so that it almost matches real time viewing of chosen content. In addition, inventor's web server
dynamically updates the channel frequency, set top box manufacturers, cable service provider's necessary
technical details in real time. This enables its numerous subscribers to enjoy flexibility in variation in program
choice with wide variation in above parameter. In nut shell subscriber can easily watch his preferred choice of
program irrespective of combination of service provide and set top box and its physical location.
On the other hand, mapped set top box (of any make) receives feed in the form of Radio Frequency Signal send by cable /satellite/terrestrial service provider. It comprises of various channels. By default cable/ satellite/terrestrial service provider does maps channel name with a unique channel number signifying its broadcasting frequency.
Amongst the plurality of incoming content feed to set top box from cable /satellite/terrestrial service provider, choice of content to be displayed on television is triggered by manual pressing of combination of button of Smart IR remote. Accordingly Inventors remote emits infrared radiation of corresponding strength. A mandatory condition that remote and set top box should be in line of sight if fulfilled shows frozen content choice. It happens only when aforesaid IR radiations are received by IR receiver on Set top box. Its built in software activates internal hardware to decode and decrypt tile mapped content from cable /satellite/terrestrial service provider's feed. It further converts same into a consumable format accepted by a display device e.g. television
Different cable /satellite/terrestrial service provider designated channel with different number to distinguish from its competitor. However, although there is a variation in assigned channel number but the frequency of its broadcasting remains unchanged. Further, from business prospective, cable service provider can make it . mandatory to have technical compatibility of respective company's remote with its chosen set top box. Hence portability of set top box may not be easy.
' Thus any mismatch between the registered remote and list of compatible set top box combination may create difficulty in viewing the content.
Universal remote which are expensive can communicate with multiple set top boxes but lack the features provided by inventors Smart IR emitter.
Thus the prevailing ecosystem needs continuous operation of buttons on remote to watch alternative channel, change parameters associated with volume & video.

Some of the Prior art sites reveals software application which needs to be purchased. Moreover, it is functional with limited mobile operating systems. Further, it needs smart phone where user interface is displayed. Wi-Fi of smart phone enables subscriber to access inventor's webserver. He can navigate through its Electronic Program Guide. Subscriber can his alter his choice of program and schedule of its viewing. However, this route has dependency on handset with wi-fi connectivity etc. Smart Mobile handset with IR transceiver, IT literacy and cost of operation etc. may be other drawbacks.
Inventor has come out with a smart IR remote with memory and embedded hardware to connect inventor's webserver via RF communication over Wi-Fi. It has minimal button, long battery life. By default it connects to "inventor's web server. Once the linkage is authenticated and if a subscriber is accessing internet enable display device, a window pops on the display device where matrix of channels and program schedule is shown. With keys on remote one can easily navigate and freeze the choice and logout.
Inventor's apparatus has a microcontroller. Clock system of the said microcontroller enables and disables various clocks. It further has ultrafast, programmable digital control oscillators (DCO) with minimal startup time using. Integration of these components decreases current consumption. Hence it enhances functional efficiency by its autonomous entry into low-power modes (LPMs). Thus, said remote can operate for decades on a single COID cell battery. Further, it's low-power real-rime clock (RTC), precisely keeps real time and enables wakeup at specified intervals. Another variation in remote has a switchable battery backup system that maintains operations even when the primary power supply fails. The direct memory access of microcontroller allows memory transfer with no CPU intervention there by provides higher throughput of peripheral data and lower system power
Thus the aforesaid architected features rich web server authenticated smart IR emitter (transceiver) cum remote communicates over wi-fi fetches updated EPG. it forwards this code information to a registered set top box. That further decodes and sends appropriate feed matching with real time preferred choice of multimedia content on interfaced audio visual display.
