Specification

The present invention relates to a protection safety shield assembly for heavy duty vehicles such as industrial lifting trucks, lorry cranes, tractors and alike. More particularly, a protection safety shield to protect the operator of heavy duty vehicles in working condition of a vehicle and fold the shield in non working condition and thus prevents it from getting damaged in the uneven or sloped regions.
Background of Invention
Heavy weights lifting trucks are employed in industrial applications generally to lift and move industrial products from one location to another. Usually in the mechanical industry, when lifting or moving heavy weights or loads, exposes the operator of the machine like lorry to danger of getting seriously injured due to accidents, since these load lifting machines routinely have an open operator area without any protective screening or materials separating the operator from the material being handled.
Various protective devices have been designed for different vehicles to protect the operators from bodily harm. Tractors have had attachable cabs designed to be mounted to the vehicles in front of the operator's seat to protect the operator from wind and to deflect engine heat away from the operator. Tractors or bulldozers that are in danger of being struck by falling objects, such as trees or portions of buildings, have had protective covers mounted to the vehicles to deflect objects away from the operator's compartment and to protect the operator from injury. Similarly, forklifts have had overhead guards installed to protect their operators from falling objects. Motorcycles have had transparent bulletproof windshields designed to protect the drivers. However, no design has provided a readily foldable shield that moves with the material handling apparatus to be constantly inter-positioned between the materials being handled and the operator.
In prior art available solutions, there is no seating provision for Operator & very poor visibility during load handling while slewing 360 degree since Operator has to stand on side of the machine while doing crane operation. This also tends to occurrence of accidents.

This problem of the lack of safety/ protection for machine operators is solved by the apparatus comprised in the present invention. The current invention provides safety to operator giving the choice of using front protection shield when machine is in working condition & easily folding front protection shield when machine is not lifting any load.

Detail Description of the Invention
The basic invention and the general field of the invention is described and illustrated herein below with certain schematic drawings and schematic scheme(s) associated with the construction and functioning of the proposed foldable protection shield for the operator of the vehicle.
The industrial lifting trucks including lorry crane have boom assembly without an operator cabin such that the operator often handling the machine is at a risk of accident due to falling of heavy weights. In prior art available solutions, there is no seating provision for operator & offers poor visibility during load handling while slewing 360 degree. Generally, the operator has to stand on side of the machine while handling the machine or crane operation. This often leads to occurrence of fatal accidents.
The current invention aims at providing a foldable front protection safety shield for an open operator cabin of vehicle including various cranes with boom assembly. The protection safety shield provided herein is for open cabin of a lorry crane, which prevents the cabin from getting crushed both in case of heavy bodies falling upon the cabin, and in case of tilting of the vehicle about a longitudinal axis, which may occur, in particular, in workplaces where the ground is uneven or sloped, such as in quarries, and the lilte. Further the protection safety shield provides safety to operator with a choice of using front protection shield when crane is in working condition & folding the shield when not lifting the load and the machine is being taken from one site to another. The invention shield allows 360 degree visibility for the Crane operator sitting comfortably on rotating superstructure mounted cabin.
Basically Lorry crane is high speed 360 degree rotational crane with carry deck facility. Such crane is very useful where one has to shift load from one place to other in short interval of time. In the invention crane, when the operator wants to lift load through crane, he climbs up & sit in open cabin, unfolds or opens the protection shield & then use the crane for loading & unloading purpose. After completion of his work the operator folds the protection shield & gets down from the cabin seat to ground. Basically the locking lever at unlock position is

released and then Crank lever is operated to move the protection shield up. Further the crank lever is held till again locking lever is moved to the lock position.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention the protection safety shield is provided with 5 components: a V -belt pulley shaft, Crank lever, Crank handle, Spur gear at both sides, sliding spur gear rack on the both sides, locking lever, locking spur gear and a protection shield and is made of materials using IS2062-2006; E250(Fe410W) 'B', IS:5429-1979 & NYLATRON/NSM and/or the combination of these materials enlisted herein.
