A Pulsed Power Supply System Topology To Enhance Efficiency Of Electrostatic Precipitators In Thermal Power Plants
Abstract: The invention relates to a pulsed power supply topology system to enhance performance of Electrostatic Precipitators in thermal power plants, comprising: a regulating power block consisting of a main bi-directional switch and an auxiliary bi-directional switch which forms a connection between the input terminals and the HVR unit of the ESP; a high voltage rectifier unit consisting of a step-up transformer and a rectifier; an ESP equivalent load combination of parallel resistor and capacitor; and a DSP controller block coupled to the regulating power block, the controller block being operable to provide command control firing signal to the main and auxiliary bidirectional switches (T1, T2, T23, T4) for the operation of ESP system.
