, Description:[0001] PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION:
[0002] The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed:
[0003] DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
[0004] Technical Field of the Invention
[0005] The present invention relates to a vehicle brake system and also any other such system using one or more mechanical cables with reactive slider unit. More specifically, the invention relates to brake system which includes a reactive slider unit for a cable.
[0006] Background of the Invention
[0007] The typical brake system contains a plurality of braking means, with one braking means being associated with each wheel. The braking means are designed such that they are able to exert torques on the corresponding wheels around the axis of rotation of each wheel, which bring about a reduction in the speed of rotation of each wheel.
[0008] The consequence of the change in the speed of rotation of the wheel is called braking forces. The braking forces are built up in the contact surface of the tire with the road surface. The braking forces in turn generate a torque (yawing moment) around the vertical axis of the vehicle. The braking forces, which act on each individual wheel, each generate a proportionate yawing moment, and these proportionate yawing moments usually offset each other, because the corresponding lever arms are directed in different directions.
[0009] The U.S. Patent Application No. US11/316, 348(referred herein as ‘348) titled “Brake system for straddle-type vehicle” discloses a brake system which comprises a braking force generating mechanism, a brake lever assembly and a foot-operated brake pedal. The brake force generating mechanism applies a braking force to a front wheel or a rear wheel of the vehicle. The force actuator moves between at first and second positions so as to selectively actuate the brake force generating mechanism to produce a braking force. However, the brake system disclosed in the ‘348 patent application is complex assembly and much expensive.
[0010] The U.S. Patent No. US13/935,030(referred herein as ‘030)titled “Straddle type vehicle interlocking brake system and straddle type vehicle” discloses a brake system that includes a front brake mechanism, a rear brake mechanism, a front brake wire, a rear brake wire, a link, a support, and an interlocking brake wire. The link is rotatable around a fulcrum on one end thereof as measured in a longitudinal direction thereof. The support elastically supports the link at the fulcrum. The interlocking brake wire is connected with the link so as to pull the front brake wire and rear brake wire. The front brake wire, the interlocking brake wire, and the rear brake wire are connected with the link in this order, starting from the end of the link with the support, as measured in a longitudinal direction of the link. However, the invention has multiple components and associated with complex connections, hence more expensive to install.
[0011] Conventional systems do not provide effective combined braking system for the vehicle during loaded conditions. Conventional apparatus uses an equalizer component for the combined braking system. In conventional combined braking system, the bike rider does not get an alert when there is a failure in the equalizer component and further leads to a skidding thereby.
[0012] Hence, there exists a need for a braking system for a vehicle in an efficient and economical manner.
[0013] Summary of the Invention
[0014] The present invention overcomes the drawback in the prior art and provides reactive slider system for a cable in an efficient and precise manner.
[0015] In an embodiment of the invention, a reactive slider system for a cable comprises a bracket which has a first end, a second end and a third end. The first end is connected to a first input. The second end is connected to a first output. The third end is connected to a second output.
[0016] In another embodiment of the invention, a flexible core wire is embedded in the bracket and is further allowed to pass through the first end, the second end and third end of the bracket.
[0017] Further, a reactive slider unit is arranged inside the bracket. The flexible core wire is coupled with the reactive slider unit such that the flexible core wire is in retracted position and the reactive slider is in rested position in an idle condition.
[0018] The reactive slider unit slides the flexible core wire in an elongated position and in-turn operates the first output and the second output by pulling the flexible core wire therein during the loaded condition.
[0019] The present invention is cost effective, simple and ease to install and shall be used in all cable applications.
