Specification

FIELD OF INVENTION

The present invention relates to a rear cover for a two wheeled vehicle and more particularly to the location of the brake lubrication oil reservoir on the rear cover.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Generally, in two wheeled vehicles, brake reservoir is assembled with the frame in overhang position and due to its respective position to the brake mechanism flow of the oil is irregular which results in improper lubrication of braking system and hence problems like poor braking, rattling and vibration arises. Thus there is a need of a system which ensures proper flow of lubricating fluid to the brake mechanism.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention related to a rear cover of a two wheeled vehicle, which is fixed with vehicle frame. Said rear cover is made up of two parts, out of which one is tail part and the other is head part. Said parts are integrated with each other and are attached with the frame on a joint on rear part of the frame.

Said rear cover head is having a reservoir bracket which holds an oil reservoir into it. An oil channelling member is secured adjacent to lower side of the rear cover head and said oil channelling member is connected to the oil reservoir on one end and to the braking mechanism on the other end. Said oil channelling member is supported by multiple brackets along the inner surface of the rear cover head.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWING

The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below and the accompanying drawing which is incorporated in and constitute embodiments of the invention, illustrate several aspects of the invention and together with a description of the embodiments serve to explain the principles of the invention and thus, are not limited of the present invention and a brief description of the drawing is as follows:

Figure 1 is the right hand side view of the rear part of the vehicle, depicting the main embodiments of the invention.

Figure 2 is representing the claimed rear cover in order to showing the essential embodiments of the invention.

Figure 3 is representing the arrangement of the claimed elements over the two wheeled vehicle.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The embodiments disclosed below are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, these exemplary embodiments are chosen and described for enablement purpose. The invention may have application to all types of motor vehicles.

Figure 1 is the right hand side view of the rear part of the vehicle, showing the positioning of the rear cover (100) over the frame (104). Said rear cover (100) is made up of rear cover head (106) and rear cover tail (105) integrated to each other and connected to the frame (104) through the joint (110).

Rear cover head (106) is having a reservoir bracket (100) on its right side of the rear cover head (106) and multiple support brackets (102,103) over it. Further, as shown in Figure 2, said support brackets (102, 103) are secured in the straight line on right side of the rear cover head (106).

Figure 3 is an exemplary representation of the enabling arrangement of the embodiments of the claimed invention. Said reservoir bracket (101) is holding the reservoir (108) in order to fix the said reservoir (108) on the right side of rear cover (100) towards the joint (110) of the rear cover (100) and the frame (104). The oil channeling member (107) is connected to the reservoir (108) at point A and to the brake mechanism (109) at point B.

Said oil channeling member (107) is secured adjacent to inner surface of right side of the rear cover head (106) through multiple support brackets (102,103) in order to ensure proper flow of the oil from reservoir (108) for lubrication of the brake mechanism (109).

Described mechanism and mounting arrangement of the brake lubrication oil reservoir (108) over the rear cover (100) ensures proper routing and positioning of cables and reservoir so that flow of lubrication oil remains smooth and results in proper lubrication of braking system.

WHAT IS CLAIMED IS

1) A rear cover fixed with a frame of a two wheeled vehicle comprising:

a rear cover head and a rear cover tail integrated with each other at a joint formed neighbouring rear end of the frame such that centre part of the rear cover head is connected to tubes of the frame and a reservoir bracket configured to secure an oil reservoir, is integrated with the rear cover head towards the joint; and

an oil channelling mechanism secured adjacent to inner surface of the rear cover head by means of a support bracket system along the inner surface of the rear cover head and configured to connect the oil reservoir at one end to a braking mechanism.

2) The rear cover, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the rear cover is a single unit fixed with the frame at rear end of the frame and at upper horizontal tube of said frame.

3) The rear cover, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the support bracket system is defining at least a support bracket configured to hold the oil channelling mechanism along the inner surface of the rear cover head.

4) The rear cover, substantially as herein described with reference to, and as illustrated in, the accompanying drawings.
