A Reward Based System And Apparatus For Ev Charging Using Blockchain Technology

Abstract: A system and apparatus for incentivizing electric vehicle (EV) users to charge their EVs during off-peak hours using blockchain technology. The system rewards EV users with cryptocurrency for charging their EVs during off-peak hours, while charging stations record the charging activities and energy providers set the energy prices and reward rates. The blockchain network verifies the charging activities, sets the reward rates, and distributes the rewards automatically to the users' digital wallets. The system provides a transparent and secure system for the reward distribution process using blockchain technology and encourages the adoption of EVs and the development of charging infrastructure.

Specification

Description:The present invention provides a reward-based system and apparatus for EV charging using blockchain technology. The system comprises EV users who charge their EVs during off-peak hours and earn rewards in the form of cryptocurrency, charging stations that provide electricity to the EV users and record the charging activities, energy providers that set the energy prices and reward rates for the EV users, and a blockchain network that verifies the charging activities, sets the reward rates, and distributes the rewards automatically to the users' digital wallets.

The EV users register with the system by creating a digital wallet and linking it to their EV charging account. The charging stations are equipped with a smart meter that records the charging activities and sends the data to the blockchain network. The energy providers are connected to the blockchain network through a smart contract that automates the payment process.

The rewards are paid in cryptocurrency, which can be stored in the users' digital wallets. The system incentivizes users to charge their EVs during off-peak hours by offering higher reward rates than during peak hours. The reward rates are set by the energy providers and are determined based on the supply and demand of energy during different times of the day.

The blockchain network verifies the charging activities, sets the reward rates, and distributes the rewards automatically to the users' digital wallets. The network ensures the accuracy and transparency of the reward distribution process by maintaining a ledger of all the transactions and allowing all the network nodes to verify the validity of the transactions.

The system provides a secure and transparent system for the reward distribution process, ensuring that the EV users receive their rewards without any delays or errors. The use of blockchain technology also eliminates the need for intermediaries, reducing the transaction costs and increasing the efficiency of the system.

The apparatus includes the charging stations, which are equipped with a smart meter that records the charging activities and sends the data to the blockchain network. The smart meter is also capable of communicating with the EVs to provide real-time information about the charging status and the energy consumption.

The charging stations are designed to be compatible with different types of EVs, including those with different charging protocols and standards. The charging stations are also equipped with safety features, such as overload protection and ground fault protection, to ensure the safety of the EV users and the charging infrastructure.
