Abstract: ABSTRACT A RIVET FOR AN ENERGY STORAGE DEVICE Examples of a rivet and an energy storage device comprising the rivet are described. In an example, the rivet includes a planar portion with at least two symmetrically positioned openings and a hollow protruding 5 member extend longitudinally from each opening, defining channels. The rivet further includes a joining surface within the channels to facilitate electrical connection with a current collector plate. In one example, the rivet integrates with the energy storage device's casing, with protruding members accommodated in corresponding holes. Upon installation, the 10 planar portion rests on the casing's closed end, while protruding members are secured through the holes. This configuration exposes depression areas within the channels to accommodate complementary structures of the current collector plate, enabling welding for electrical connection. 15 <> 18
