Abstract: This invention relates to a safety syringe comprising of a barrel connected with a releasing ring at its top, a plunger fitted with a gasket and a needle connector as its tip, the said needle connector is provided with an o-ring wherein the gasket is provided with a cut in the form of ring at its top so as to lock the gasket on the tip of the plunger and the plunger is provided with ring on its side to accommodate the gasket.

FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to a safety syringe.
PRIOR ART
The syringe known in the art, which is comparable to the present invention comprising of barrel, plunger, gasket, o-ring, releasing ring and needle connector wherein gasket, is made of natural rubber. The gasket is manufactured by compressed mould, which can be manufactured outside clean room. Due to manufacturing of Gasket through compressed mould outside clean room, there is a possibility of foreign particle to come inside the clean room with gasket. Also the gasket manufactured by natural rubbers reacts with some medicines due to presence of Latex. Further, the production of such type of Gasket with syringes is expensive and time consuming because of the low productivity Gasket testing and washing is done. There is also possibility of contamination.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The primary object of the present invention is to propose a safety syringe, which is safe to use.
Another object of the present invention is to propose a safety syringe, which is cheaper as compared to the prior art.
Still another object of the present invention is to propose a safety syringe, which is latex free.
Further object of the present invention is to propose a safety syringe, the production of which is less time consuming as compared to the known art.
Still further object of the present invention is to propose a safety syringe, wherein the gasket is made of Thermoplastic elastomer with injection moulding process in clean room to increase the quality of products.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION
According to this invention there is provided a safety syringe comprising of a barrel connected with a releasing ring at its top, a plunger fitted with a gasket and a needle connector at its tip to connect the needle, the said needle connector is provided with an o-ring of Thermoplastic Elastomer to protect the leakage wherein the gasket is provided with a cut in the form of ring at its top so as to lock the gasket on the tip of the plunger and the plunger is provided with ring to accommodate and strongly lock the gasket so that during the movement (pull 85 push) of Gasket with plunger inside barrel, there should be no leakage.

Further objects and advantages of this invention will be more apparent from the ensuing description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and wherein:
Figure . 1 shows gasket of the present invention. Figure .2 shows plunger of the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS.
Reference may be made to fig. 1 and 2. The safety syringe of the present invention comprising of barrel, plunger, gasket, o-ring, releasing ring and needle connector.
The barrel is fitted with the releasing ring. The plunger is fitted with the improved gasket of the present invention, which is provided with a cut in the form of a ring (2) at its top so as to lock the gasket on the tip of the plunger. The plunger of the instant invention is provided with outer ring (1) on its side as shown in the drawing (fig: 2) to accommodate the gasket. The plunger is further fitted with a needle connector at its tip, which is fitted with an o-ring. The gasket is made of santoprene material also called TPE (Thermoplastic elastomer), which is latex free. The gasket is moulded in the injection moulding machine in the clean room without the need of taking the gasket outside as in the prior art to avoid contamination. The manufacturing of the syringe is less time consuming, which results in more productivity.
OPERATION OF THE INVENTION
1. Opening of the peel-pouch.
2. Aspiration of the medication and injecting according to usual clinical practice.
3. Pushing of the plunger rod until the syringe is empty and the plunger is fully seated.
4. Turning of the released ring clockwise to *R' position indicated on the releasing ring.
5. Retraction of the syringe barrel over the needle until a slight 'stop' is realized.
6. Snapping off the plunger rod.
7. Discarding of the whole syringe in an approved sharps container.
The syringe after a single use will lock automatically with the conjunction of Plunger Tip with needle connector. Due to the locking of Needle connector with Plunger tip, it will move along with plunger after movement of releasinhg ring in clock wise. Alter injseting medicine and pulling plunger outside barrel, Needle along with needles connector will

go inside the barrel, and plunger can be broken. Therefore, the same can't be reused, which makes the use of the same safer.
It is to be noted that the present invention is susceptible to modifications, adaptations and changes by those skilled in the art. Such variant embodiments employing the concepts and features of this invention are intended to be within the scope of the present invention, which is further set forth under the following claims:-

WE CLAIM:
1. A safety syringe comprising of a barrel connected with a releasing ring at its top, a plunger fitted with a gasket and a needle connector at its tip, the said needle connector is provided with an o-ring wherein the gasket is provided with a cut in the form of ring at its top so as to lock the gasket on the tip of the plunger and the plunger is provided with ring on its side to accommodate the gasket.
2. A safety syringe as claimed in claim 1 wherein the gasket is made of santoprene material (TPS), which is latex free.
3. A safety syringe as claimed in claim 1 or 2, wherein the gasket is moulded in the injection moulding machine in the clean room.
4. A safety syringe substantially as herein described with reference to accompanying drawings.
