Specification

DESC:To overcome one or more drawbacks mentioned in the background, the present invention discloses a Sanitary Pad Incinerator with Real Time Monitoring.

A specific embodiment and aspect of the invention is described in detail herein.

In the Preferred embodiment of the invention, it is mounted on the wall with the help of the wall-mounting mechanism. The levelling screws at the back of the machine helps position the machine vertical to the wall.

The sanitary pad input chute (8) is the location where the used pads are dropped to begin the destruction process. The input chute has an input door (2) on the top that can be locked and unlocked. The Process begins with the dropping of the sanitary pad through the input door (2).

The input chute (8) has a sloping slide leading the pad to the inner burn chamber (10). At the end of the slide is a flame-guard (15), that prevents the flames from entering the input chute (8). The inner burn chamber (10) is insulated with a 50 mm thick ceramic insulation. (9)

The flame guard door is operated by turning the flame-guard-door-knob, which is provided in front of the machine. The knob can turn left / right. When the user turns the flame-guard-door-knob to the left, it releases the door allowing the pad to move to the burn chamber. When the flame-guard-door-knob is turned to the right, it locks the flame-guard door preventing flames and smoke to enter the pad-drop-hatch area.

The flame-guard-door-knob is turned to unlock the flame-guard door and allow the pad in the pad-drop-hatch to move into the incineration / inner burn chamber. (10). The Flame-guard-door-knob is turned to lock the flame-guard-door.

The sanitary pad that enters the inner burn chamber (10) drops on the tubular heating element (11).

The RCCB Main circuit breaker is turned on along with the main switch to start the operation on incineration. The Orange LED (4) lights up. The LCD display (3) shows a cycle time left in minutes. The LCD Display (3) also shows the temperature of the incineration chamber in Degrees C. The Green LED (4) Comes ON. This indicates the tubular heating element (11) is now powered.

The sanitary pad immediately ignites and is burnt to ash. The tubular heating element (11) is made up of a nichrome wire encased in an alloy tube. This burns the sanitary pad.

The time left indication on the LCD display (3) shows count-down to zero minutes. The temperature indicator on the LCD Display (3) shows a rise in temperature of the tubular heating element (11).

At the end of the burn cycle, the ash is collected in the ash mesh (13). The ash disposal tray (6) is pulled out to safely dispose-off the ash dropped into it.

The Ash Mesh (13) is placed below the tubular heating element (11) and prevents any un-burnt material from passing to the ash disposal tray (6). The ash disposal tray (6) is operated by sliding it in or out from its slot.

Smoke is generated in the burn process which is let out through the chimney / smoke outlet (1) pipe on the top of the machine.

Air Vents on the side and bottom of the machine help in natural suction of air into the burn chamber as the hot air moves upward through the smoke outlet pipe (1). This hot air movement creates a natural air draft which helps in the combustion process.

The inner burn chamber (10) is insulated from the outside with ceramic insulation (9).

REAL TIME MONITORING

In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the machine’s electronics are designed for ‘REAL TIME MONITORING’ of the following parameters enabled over the Internet via a dashboard provided to the user.

a. Number of burn cycles run in a day
b. Emissions of Carbon Monoxide, Carbon dioxide, Oxides of sulphur and Nitrogen
c. Total particulate matter
d. Machine breakdown
