Abstract: ABSTRACT A SEPARATOR FOR LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES The present disclosure provides a separator for lithium-ion battery, the separator comprising: a polymer; and boehmite, wherein the boehmite and the polymer is in a mole ratio range of 1:2 to 2:1; wherein the polymer is coated with boehmite through chemical interaction. The present disclosure further provides a process for preparation of the separator and a n electrochemical cell comprising the separator.
