A Single Integrated Optical Digital Platform For Stakeholders To Manage Multiple Commercial Activities

Abstract: The present invention provides a business-to-business and customer platform which integrates the stakeholder of commercial activity relating to optical business on the single platform. The system facilitates stakeholders such as manufactures, distributors, retail outlet (point of sale) and customer to manage their respective commercial activity of optical business by means of a single platform that can be configurable according to the user requirement. The collaborative web-based portal contains integrated tools to create and maintain business operation of independent shops, optical retail chains, distributors and manufacturers, wherein the portal is subscription based business model where there is no need of upfront investment.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention generally relates to a digital platform system for managing commercial activities. More particularly, the present invention relates to an interactive web-based platform system that connects manufactures, distributors, retail outlet (point of sale) and customer specifically made for optical for managing commercial activities and allows managing their nature of business activities
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
With the tremendous growth of internet technology, business and markets also has a fascinating development via internet technology. For instance, consumer world is more convenient with the search engine that finds products of their interest with a proper search term. Manufacturers market their services and products by means of their respective websites which help to connect with various stakeholders such as consumers, distributor, independent shops, who are interested in their products. Similarly, distributor reaches consumers by digital marketing in which product and service details are posted in the third-party websites. Likewise commercialization, management of commercial activity with respect to specific business via web based platform has been developed for individual users, manufacturers and distributors individually. Here, individual user needs to check in the individual platform of manufacturers, distributors and individual shops to find their product and services of interest, which is a time consuming process.
Systems and methods are known in the existing art that puts an effort in addressing the above stated drawbacks.
Chinese document number 102915502 to ZHANG JIE entitled “BSC (business service consumer) e-commerce and comprehensive application omni-directional three-dimensional operation platform” relates to a platform that integrates B2B (business to business), B2C (business to customer), C2C (customer to customer), B2B2C (business to business to customer), BMC (business, medium and consumer) and ABC (agent, business, consumer)

online shopping ideas and model. The comprehensive information platform also provides a consumer management system, a franchise physical store management system, a terminal supplier management system and an integrity management system.
PCT publication number WO2002048937 to song lee et al. entitled “Bulk purchase business system and method” relates to a B2B2C internet portal which is used as a communication channel to reach out to various entities, including business, consumers, buyers, suppliers and sellers. The portal initiates a bulk purchase contract and allows other businesses or consumers to 'ride on' the same contract.
Korean document number 20150085554 to KIM WON SIK entitled “B2B AND B2C approach method using integrated management solution by category of the industry sector good's information” relates to a B2B and B2C goods information method, where a manufacture inputs, modifies, and manages goods information refined in accordance with the characteristics of diverse goods of each industry in an integrated goods information management solution over wires or wirelessly.
PCT publication number WO2015086444 to Mansimar ANEJA et al. entitled “System and method for managing products, product services, and stakeholders over an internet” relates to a system and method for managing products, product services, and stakeholders, including communications between stakeholders, over an internet. It includes an internet based portal and/or platform configured to support a number of stakeholders participating in the lifecycle of a product.
PCT publication number WO2014017674A1 to Shahin AKHUNDZADA et al. entitled “Electronic commerce method to which b2b, b2c and c2c business networking is applied” relates to an electronic commerce method to which B2B, B2C and C2C business networking is applied. The system enables to create individual account and profile and establishes a business network between the two individuals i.e., B2B, B2C and C2C .The network enables sale and purchase of the product between the basis of the established business network and also to pay in accordance with the sale and purchase of the product

PCT publication number WO 2001027838 A1 to L. Lee Hefner, Jr entitled “Integrated commerce environment (ice) - a method of integrating offline and online business” relates to a commercial web site which permits customers to purchase products and services (commodities). It also acts as an intermediary between customers, retail merchants, wholesalers, fulfilment houses, vendors, and one or more internet portal companies in a way that adds value to each of the respective parties.
Korean document number 20030030230 to cho nam chul entitled “Unified electronic commerce system linked to eyeglasses prescription program” relates to internet glasses prescribed programs and 'B2B', 'B2C' database of the e-commerce system. It has the facility for registration. It is a general web site which has content search and eyeglasses prescription program through the member ID and password. It also provides offline service.
Chinese document Number 101937553 to Juan Li entitled “Shared union integrated business platform in common” relates to a shared union integrated business platform in common. The business platform comprises a plurality of consumers, net citizens, network shopping websites, network shops on various electronic business platforms, entity shops, manufacturing enterprises and management service organizations in various regions. It allows user to publish the goods or services or to advertise.
United States patent application 20110191417 to Yogesh Chunilal Rathod entitled “Methods and systems for brands social networks (bsn) platform” relates to a system and method that comprises a computer interface enabling companies and consumers to share brand information, knowledge and offer services like sales, e-commerce, marketing and promoting brands over the World Wide Web. BSN platform facilitates B2B, B2C, C2B and C2C sales, marketing, promotions and e-commerce transactions. Above existing prior art deals with online platform for integrating distributor, manufacturer and consumer. The above mentioned prior art has not disclosed one or more highly advantageous features of the present invention, which includes but not limited to: create and maintain their suppliers, products, tax & discount configurations; manage campaigns and promotions; handle procurement; maintaining inventory; handle sales from order booking to invoicing cum dispatch; direct invoicing, returns and replacements; comprehensive reports on collections, pending orders,

stock in hand and sales analytics; retail chain can manage multiple outlet locations within and across the states; distributors can share the inventory status with manufacturer for further procurement; data synchronization for off-line recorded information and stakeholders are provided with personalized free website, comprehensive search engine, business intelligence analytics and chartroom; Therefore the present invention discloses a solution for effective interactive commercial activity management portal by providing the above said highly advantageous features via a single portal.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
An object of the present invention is to integrate manufactures, distributors, retail outlet (point of sale) and customer in a single web based digital platform.
The collaborative platform includes integrated tools that enables manufacturers, distributors, retail outlet (point of sale) and customer to manage their business operations, particularly business operation relating to optical.
The portal includes manufacturer module, distributor module, retail chain module and individual/ independent shop module. The Independent shops module facilitate independent shop user to create and maintain their suppliers, products, tax & discount configurations, campaigns and promotions, handle procurement, maintaining inventory, handle sales from order booking to invoicing cum dispatch, direct invoicing, returns and replacements, comprehensive reports on collections, pending orders, stock in hand, sales analytics and many more.
The retail chain module enables manage multiple outlet locations within and across the states.
The distributor module enables distributor to create and maintain their suppliers i.e., manufacturers, products, tax definitions, price list etc. The system also facilitates the distributor to perform procurement from suppliers and sales invoicing to dealers / outlets, different pricings for every product. Further, the distributor can share the inventory status

with manufacturer for further procurement and similarly to know the inventory status of dealers / outlets for supplying the products.
The Manufacturer module enables manufactures to handle their procurement of raw materials, creating bill of materials for their frames and lens, sub-contracting any SFG, creating / maintaining production planning, manufacturing order, record finished goods post quality check to finished goods store and perform sales invoicing for distributors. It also facilitates appointment of dealers and attaching to the respective distributors.
The portal administration module to handle user credentials, account management, blogs, articles, inspiration and WIKI.
These and other features will be more clearly understood from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and claims.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS:
The objective of the present invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which:

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
Described herein, a business-to-business and customer (B2B&C) integrating platform which allows stakeholder such as manufactures, distributors, retail outlet (point of sale) and customer to manage their nature of commercial activity relating to optical. The platform is a subscription type business model with no upfront investment where the user needs to register themselves.

Fig. 1 illustrates an example environment of business-to-business and customer (B2N&C) integrating platform bringing together stakeholder such as manufactures, distributors, retail outlet (point of sale) and customer. The portal facilitates each stake holders to handle their nature of optical business operations in subscription model where there is no upfront investment. The online portals help to organize a trusted business platform filled with features and benefits that allow its members to undertake different business processes over the web and enhance business productivity.
Referring to fig. 2,, the portal includes manufacturer module, distributor module, retail chain module, individual/ independent shop module and portal administration module.
The Independent shops module facilitate independent shop user to create and maintain their suppliers, products, tax & discount configurations, campaigns and promotions, handle procurement, maintaining inventory, handle sales from order booking to invoicing cum dispatch, direct invoicing, returns and replacements, comprehensive reports on collections, pending orders, stock in hand, sales analytics and many more.
The retail chain module enables manage multiple outlet locations within and across the states.
The system facilitates configuring single or multiple warehouses and connects outlets to them for performing the business. The outlets are enabled to perform sales outfit, receive stock from warehouse and perform the sales, manage collections, sales and performance data with respect to them. The Warehouse is enabled to perform centralized procurement and transfer the stock to outlet for sales, centrally control optical inventory, setting the pricings, defining the tax and discounts, managing suppliers and products and to consolidate collections, sales and performance across outlets.
The distributor module enables distributor to create and maintain their suppliers i.e., manufacturers, products, tax definitions, price list etc. The system also facilitates the distributor to perform procurement from suppliers and sales invoicing to dealers / outlets,

different pricings for every product. Further, the distributor can share the inventory status with manufacturer for further procurement and similarly to know the inventory status of dealers / outlets for supplying the products.
The Manufacturer module enables manufactures to handle their procurement of raw materials, creating bill of materials for their frames and lens, sub-contracting any SFG, creating / maintaining production planning, manufacturing order, record finished goods post quality check to finished goods store and perform sales invoicing for distributors. It also facilitates appointment of dealers and attaching to the respective distributors.

The portal provides following features which can be used by any of the registered users. The personalized free website which allows the registered users to manage commercial activity related content. Also, social media pages also provided for each registered clients to manage their contents and for collaboration. The portal enables data synchronization for off-line recorded information.
The Comprehensive search engine feature allows the user to search for vendors and products.
The portal provides business intelligence analytics for various operational data in optical dynamics.
The chartroom feature connects manufactures, distributors, retail outlet (point of sale) and customer.
The platform can be accessed via mobile application through each of the registered user. The platform also provides alert notifications through portal, SMS and email.

The configurable E-commerce portal for optical according to the user requirement supports all business activities. The portal facilitates each stake holders to handle their nature of optical business operations in subscription model where there is no upfront investment. The portal is online, so the infrastructure requirement would be very minimal for using this application. Even a small optical shop can afford to subscribe and maintain his business operation through this portal.
While the foregoing written description of the invention enables one of ordinary skill to make and use what is considered presently to be the best mode thereof, those of ordinary skill will understand and appreciate the existence of variations, combinations, and equivalents of the specific embodiment, method, and examples herein. The invention should therefore not be limited by the above described embodiment, method, and examples, but by all embodiments and methods within the scope and spirit of the invention as claimed.

WE CLAIM:
1. A web based interactive system for managing commercial activity, wherein the system comprising:
(i) a processor for executing computer programs;
(ii) a memory for storing data;
(iii)independent shops module, wherein said independent module is configured to: (i) create and maintain suppliers, products, tax & discount configurations; (ii) manage campaigns and promotions (iii) handle procurement; (iv) maintain inventory; (v) handle sales from order booking to invoicing cum dispatch; (vi) mange direct invoicing, returns and replacements; and (vii) manage comprehensive reports on collections, pending orders, stock in hand and sales analytics;
(iv) retail chain module, wherein said retail chain module facilitates to configure single or multiple warehouses and connects outlets to said warehouses;
(v) distributor module, wherein said distributor module is configured to: (i) create and maintain their suppliers, products, tax definitions and price list; (ii) perform procurement from suppliers and sales invoicing to dealers / outlets; (iii) manage different pricings for every product; (vi) share inventory status with manufacturer for further procurement and identify inventory status of dealers / outlets for supplying the products;
(vi) manufacturer module, wherein said manufacturer module is configured to: (i) handle procurement of raw materials; (ii) create bill of materials for respective products; (iii) sub-contracting any SFG; (iv) create / maintain production planning, manufacturing order; (v) record finished goods and post quality check to finished goods store; (vi) perform sales invoicing for distributors; and (vii) facilitates appointment of dealers and attaching to a respective distributor;
(vii) portal administration module, wherein said portal administration module is configured to: (i) handle user credentials; (ii) manage account; and (iii) manage blogs, articles, inspiration and wiki.

2. The system according to claim 01, further configured to personalized free website, comprehensive search engine, business intelligence analytics and chartroom.
3. The system according to claim 01, wherein said outlets are enabled to (i) perform sales outfit; (ii) receive stock from warehouse and perform sales; and (iii) manage collections, sales and performance data with respect to said outlets.
4. The system according to claim 01, wherein said warehouses are enabled to (i) perform centralized procurement and transfer the stock to outlet for sales; (ii) centrally control optical inventory; (iii) setting the pricings; (iv) defining the tax and discounts; (v) managing suppliers and products details; and (vi) consolidate collections, sales and performance across outlets.
5. The system according to claim 01, wherein said commercial activity is optical business.
