A Smart Paperless Printer With Integrated Contactless Payment Solution Using Dynamic Qr Code

Abstract: In nowadays modern society, smart phones and internet are the part of our life. With use of the smart phone and Internet we can make our society greener by accepting digital bills and make contactless payments using digital cards in secure way. A system which is proposed here generates digital prints and enables digital payments for consumers using dynamic QR codes. which in turn eliminates paper and plastic wastages. So, this initiative the deforestation which is done for making papers can be reduced and also the usage of plastic cards can be reduced. Also, this system assists in genuine transactions without any possibility of fraudulent means that are adopted in present online transactions resulting in financial loss for many merchant establishments. Also, the device which is provided is quite efficient and also, capable of providing smart advertisements scroll to during idle time.

Claims:1) An integrated paperless printing and payment enabled device for performing of financial transactions in shops and various commercial establishments wherein,
The above said paperless printing device uses generic Single Board Computer (SBC) i.e., Raspberry pi or Beagle Board and this SBC runs with custom-made Linux OS (Operating System) and above that a unique software application which has been developed by usthat helps in processing the inputs and converts that in to QR code and the said Single Board Computer (SBC) helps in paperless printing and to make digital payments securely ;
the said generic single Board computer (SBC) the custom designed Battery Management System (BMS) make sure that Single Board Computer (SBC) runs with proper input voltage. and in case of power going off suddenly, the BMS supports SBC to process the shutdown command properly to prevent SBC from memory crash and the enhanced BMS also helps SBC to run in optimized battery power ;
the said bill printing device contains in built modem for network support and initially the device shares internet from host to reduce internet cost for the users and in case, if the host has problem in internet connection, then the application runs in background and switches the internet on to build in modem and this helps user to work in a seamless manner. The above said entire process runs with the help of software which is custom developed by us and our application also generates dynamic QR for secure processing
2) The integrated paperless printing and payment enabled device as claimed in claim 1wherein the device will work in both scenario like it will act as normal USB Printer as well as Network printer (IP Printer). For these two types inputs will be different from the host. For Universal Series Bus (USB), the device will be connected to host through USB port. And in Network printer, the device will be connected through IP using Local Area Network (LAN).
3) The integrated paperless bill printing and payment enabled device is capable of providing scrolling commercial advertisements during idle time.

Single Board Computer:

Modem:

Detail description of the invention with reference to the drawing: -

The device is equipped with the computing module has the potential of printing any type of print job into aprint file and it will give output in the form of QR. For managing print functions, a custom developed printer driver is installed in the host system. This driver starts functioning once the print job is initiated and converts that print file into multiple bitmap files and the bitmap files are parsed in chunks to reconstruct that into a print file.

Once that print file generated, another service will be called in us inside the driver which initiates the communication protocol that transfers the print file as multiple file parts to the device. After successful completion of file transfer, the device will restructure that file parts into a single output file. Once that output file is obtained, that output file is processed in the secure server to accelerate the generation of dynamic QR within few seconds.

Our own development mobile application for end users is provided to scan and make payment using the QR code generated by our device. Once the QR is scanned, digital or ebill will be downloaded in that mobile application and directly we can make contactless payment for the particular bill using digital cards which is been facilitated in the mobile application itself.
