The present invention relates to a speaking enclosure. The speaking enclosure of the present invention is adapted to communicate description of a product upon actuation of a switching element.

BACKGROUND
One of the key elements of effective utilization of manufactured products is the understanding, by the end user, of features of a product. Conventional methods of describing a product are through advertisements on display boards or through audio visual media such as radio or television. Due to temporal separation between dissemination of information by conventional methods and the practical circumstances where a user is in need of such information, additional communication regarding a product is necessitated at the user-vendor interface. In view of plurality of brands and product varieties, this increases traffic of communication that is difficult to handle. Major complexity of this problem lies in addressing demand for product specific information. A device for disseminating product-specific information is, therefore, desired. Currently, there is no effective device available to address the demand of such product specific information required at the user-vendor interface. Complexities in the development and use of such a device include, commercial viability, assigning identity to individual device (that represent a specific product), designing of such device, precise and reliable operation of such a device and maintenance and trouble-shooting of the device. From a technical stand point, complexities also lie in appropriate selection of device elements and, in particular, choice of suitable switching element for reliable operation of the device. In other words, there is a prevalent and long standing need for a device that is cost-effective, precise, operationally effective and simple, to communicate description of a manufactured product.

Throughout the specification and claims, the following terms take at least the meanings explicitly associated herein, unless the context dictates otherwise.
The term ‘speaking’ includes expressing by way of spoken words, music, by way of a song or a video.
The terms ‘fastened to an enclosure’ includes fastened to the periphery of the enclosure or to a platform disposed at the inner volume of the enclosure wherein the platform is provided solely for mechanical support and not for operatively communicating with either the communication element or the switching element.
Turning now to Figure 1, the speaking enclosure of the present invention comprise a switching element (1) operatively coupled to a communication element ((2) to (4)). The switching element is actuated at the instance of the user to enable communication from the communication element. The switching element (1), integrated circuit (2) and the amplifier (3) are all powered by a dc power source (6). Advantageously, the dc power source comprises plurality of cells of 1.5 V. More advantageously, the dc power source comprises two cells of 1.5 V each. The amplified signal from the communication element is then communicated to a band pass filter (4) to eliminate noise elements in the signal. The filtered signal is then communicated to a speaker (5).
Turning now to Figure 2, an embodiment of the speaking enclosure of the present invention comprise a switching element (14, 15). The switching element comprises a switch (14) adapted to be actuated by means of a chain or a string (15). This embodiment of the speaking enclosure of the present invention additionally comprise a ring (7) to keep the enclosure in a hanging disposition. wherein the communication element and the switching element are fastened to the enclosure and wherein the communication element is adapted to communicate description of the product upon actuation of a switching element. The enclosure in the speaking enclosure of the present invention is typically any enclosure into which a communication element and a switching element could be secured to enable convenient actuation by the user resulting in effective communication, to the user, of the description of a product enclosed in/intended to be enclosed, during commercialization, in the enclosure. In one embodiment, the enclosure is selected from the group consisting of a casing, a package or a container. Advantageously, the enclosure is selected from the group consisting of a container or a package. More advantageously, the enclosure is a container or a package of the product it encloses/is intended to enclose upon commercialization. Still more advantageously, the enclosure carries on its outer surface brand label, logo and name of the product it encloses/is intended to enclose upon commercialization.
The communication element could be fastened to any surface of the enclosure. Typically, the communication element is fastened to the periphery of the enclosure or to a platform at the inner volume of the enclosure. The power source that supply power to the switching element and to the communication element is also fastened to either the periphery or the platform. The communication element in the enclosure of the present invention comprises an integrated circuit (2), an amplifier (3), a band pass filter (4) all of which are carried on a printed circuit board (13, 20). The information and instructions to communicate the information are recorded in the integrated circuit carried on the printed circuit board. The recording of the information is performed by engaging the integrated circuit with a programming unit. Typically, the information comprise description of the product. Advantageously, the information comprise description of an agrochemical product. More advantageously, the information includes music. The description of product includes, but are not limited to, description of brand, of contents, of manufacturer, supplier, uses of the product, instructions to use the product and any description to promote the sales of the product. The programming unit is further connected to a computing device. Typically, the computing device is a computer. The intensity and quality of the signal are favorably altered by the amplifier and the band pass filter respectively. The altered signal from the communication element is then communicated to the speaker where it is delivered to the user.
Another important feature of the speaking enclosure of the present invention is the switching element. The switching element comprises a switch actuated either by mechanical means or by a radiation. When the actuation is by mechanical means, the switching element comprises a string or a chain for actuation. Advantageously, the string or chain is disposed at the bottom part of the speaking enclosure. When the actuation is by radiation, the switching element comprises one or more switches at least one of which is actuated by radiation. Actuation by radiation is enabled by disposing at the periphery of the enclosure, a radiation source and a radiation detector. Advantageously, the radiation source and the radiation detector are disposed adjacent to each other. More advantageously, the actuation by radiation is enabled by reflection of radiation from a reflecting surface. Typically, the reflecting surface is the palm of the user. To necessitate optimal use of power, the switching element comprise a main switch (21) to control the supply of power to the radiation switch (19). Advantageously, when actuation is by radiation, the radiation source for the switch is infrared radiation source. More advantageously the radiation source is a continuous source of infra-red radiation
During a typical operation, the switching element of the enclosure is actuated upon user-intervention to enable communication from the communication element to reach the user. Typically, the communication comprises description of the product, its key features and/or brief method of application of the product. Advantageously, the product described in the communication is an agrochemical product. More advantageously, the communication includes music. In other words, the speaking enclosure of the present invention is adapted to communicate in spoken words, songs, in music and/or in video. Further, the speaking enclosure of the present invention is adapted to communicate in any language that is comprehendible by the user. The speaking enclosure of the present invention enables communication of description of a product to the user in multiple ways. Apart from information such as that of the brand, composition and manufacturer/supplier of the product available on the label over the enclosure of the product, the communication element in the speaking enclosure enables effective communication, to the user, of the description of the product. This enables easy dissemination of product-specific information at user-vendor interface. By enabling a switching element that is conveniently actuated by user intervention to provide delivery of product information, the speaking enclosure of the present invention provides a significant technical advance over the existing art. Additionally, the speaking enclosure of the present invention enables communication of description of product to illiterate and differently abled users, thus catering to the needs of a wider section of users adding significantly to the value of the invention.
