Specification

FIELD OF INVENTION

The present invention relates to a steering assembly for a two wheeled vehicle.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Generally in two wheelers, the steering assembly consists of a metal tubular fabricated handle bar mounted to the pivot shaft of the vehicle. Said handle bar is further attached with head lamp assembly, speedometer assembly, vehicle control switches and rubber hand and accelerator grips in order to form steering assembly. Said Steering assembly is mounted over the front fork and this arrangement gives poor fitting quality and vibration and rattling issues.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention related to a steering assembly for a two wheeled vehicle a handle grip body and a steering pivot mounted body integrated to each other. The Handle grip body has multiple control switch slots, handle grips, control levers, a display device slot and a head lamp slot and said embodiments are integrated to each other. The steering pivot mounted body has a metal ring and a steering fastening member passing through the metal ring.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWING

The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below and the accompanying drawing which is incorporated in and constitute embodiments of the invention, illustrates several aspects of the invention and together with a description of the embodiments serve to explain the principles of the invention and thus, are not limited of the present invention and a brief description of the drawing is as follows:

Figure 1 is the exemplary representation of the claimed steering assembly in order to highlight essential embodiments of the invention.

Figure 2 is the side-wise cut section view of the claimed steering assembly depicting the essential embodiments for mounting the steering assembly over the vehicle.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The embodiments disclosed below are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, the embodiments are chosen and described so that others skilled in the art may utilize their teachings. The invention may have application to all types of two wheeled vehicles.

Figure 1 is an exemplary representation of the embodiments of the claimed steering assembly (hereinafter assembly) (110). Said assembly (110) is made up of two main parts integrated to each other, out of which one is handle grip body (100) and the other is steering pivot mounted body (107).

Said handle grip body (100) is an integrated body of different parts like handle grips (102,103), control levers (101) and vehicle control switch slots (104) on left and right side, display console slot (105) and head lamp slot (106) in the centre of it. The steering pivot mounting body (107), is the lower part of the assembly (110) and is integrated with the upper part i.e. handle grip body (100) and is comprising a metal ring (109) type structure passing through the steering pivot mounting body (107) and integrated with said steering pivot mounting body (107).

As shown in figure 2, a fastening member (108) is passing through said metal ring (109) in order to mount the assembly over the vehicle front fork (not shown in figure). Said assembly (110) is made up of a single polymer resin sheet and is connected to the vehicle through the fastening member (108).

The metal ring (109) used is providing the grip or holding strength to the assembly (110) and protecting from wear and tear of the assembly (110) because of the pressure on the fastening member (108).

WHAT IS CLAIM IS

1) A steering assembly for a two wheeled vehicle comprising:

a) a handle unit defining atleast one control switch slot, a plurality of handle bar covered with handle covers, at least a control lever, at least one display unit slot and a head lamp slot; and

b) a steering unit with atleast one metal ring securing at least one steering fastening unit and characterized by its pivotally mounting structure over front part of the two wheeled vehicle;

wherein, said handle unit and the steering unit are integrated with each other to form a single unit.

2) The steering assembly, as claimed in claim 1, is made up of polymer resin.

3) The steering assembly, as claimed in claim 1, wherein control lever is secured on right and left side of the steering assembly.

4) The steering assembly, substantially as herein described with reference to, and as illustrated in, the accompanying drawings.
