FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention relates to the stimulation and relaxation device. More particularly, the present invention relates to a device that significantly works in synergy to stimulate muscles and psychologically relax stress and tension and alleviates body pain in less time; it relaxes muscles and avoids post-surgery venous thrombosis; retards disuse atrophy; promotes muscle re-education after surgery. The present invention enhances the recovery process of the muscles and psychological stress; thereby making the muscle and psychological healing process faster; reducing the pain and psychological stress recovery time.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION:
The world of medical devices dealing in the stimulation and technique is growing with rapid speed. Due to change in life style, increasing stress and tension has taken a serious toll over the muscular strength of the body. After a period of bed rest after a major surgical procedure, to people with limbs in casts or from becoming bedridden due to illness or age, the muscles are no longer as active as usual or When muscles are no longer in use, they slowly become weaker. Eventually, they begin to shrink. This leads to disuse atrophy. In some cases, disuse atrophy can be reversed if the muscles become active again. Disuse atrophy often occurs from not using a muscle or a disconnection of the nerve signals to the muscle. Due to disuse atrophy, muscle re- education is needed to retard the disuse atrophy. Also, due to injury to a vein, surgery, certain medications and limited movement; the blood clots of deep vein thrombosis can be caused by anything that prevents your blood from

circulating or clotting normally. There are muscle spasms and joint pain due to surgery and age-related effects.
With muscle and joint pain, it is pertinent to observe that various scientific studies have reported the mutual relationship between chronic pain and stress. Chronic as well as acute pain escalates stress and the later in turn intensifies the perception of pain. Further, body's response to pain and stress triggers identical increase in heart rate and blood pressure. Psychological stress affect body's inflammatory response which produces pain. These factors collectively can lead to sleep deprivation deteriorating health and well-being of person. Recent techniques in pain rehabilitation focus on alleviating stress for better outcomes in treatments of chronic and acute pain.
Therefore, there is a need for devices that reduce the pain due to surgery, spasms, age and reduce the stress levels of the brain.
Conventionally, for alleviating muscular pain and joint pain, various devices are known in the art, which can be operated manually or with the aid and assistance of battery or electric power are known in the art, which typically relaxes the muscles. These prior arts create a specific pattern of movement thereby relaxing the nerves and ease the blood flow inside them thereby relaxing the muscular spasm and stiffness. Depending upon the place of its use, the shape and size of the stimulator may also vary. One of them is ultrasound device. Ultrasound device refers to the transfer of sound waves to the body in the form of thermal energy. When ultrasound is applied to the affected or pain area it increases the tissue temperature and stimulates the thermal receptors. When these receptors are stimulated it increases the cell membrane permeability and the heating effect increases the local blood circulation

in that area. This increases the soft tissue extensibility which results in muscle relaxation thereby reducing stiffness in the area. Ultrasound also stimulates the free nerve endings which carry the pain signals and block the pain pathway thereby reducing the pain. Ultrasound thus have beneficial effect in reducing pain as well as promoting healing. However, ultrasound devices do not work on psychological stress due to the muscle pain.
For reducing the psychological stress levels, CES is seen to be effective in pain and stress management and conditions like anxiety, insomnia, depression, bipolar disorders. CES works at thalamus and cortex levels by interfering with the brain waves activity and releasing neuro¬hormones respectively. At the thalamus level, it induces changes in the brain waves activity. It aims to bring the brainwaves into the frequency range from alpha to deep theta. Increased alpha activity is associated with relaxation and greater awareness and decreased delta activity is associated with reduction in fatigue and stress levels by inducing sleep. Whereas at the cortex level, the cortical and subcortical areas are deactivated which influence neurotransmission in thalamus, hypothalamus and limbic system. This neurotransmission cause release of neurotransmitters such as endorphin, serotonin, Cortisol, ACTH etc. responsible for pain & stress management, mood changes, decreased anxiety levels, better arousal, relaxation etc.
However, the prior arts, which are known, do not disclose a typical device that provides stimulation of muscles and relaxation to psychological stress with electrical signals with ultrasound waves.

This working time, performance, the feedback of the Said Vacuum Unit (VU), Stimulator unit 1 (STU1), Stimulator unit 2 (STU2), Ultrasound Unit (ULT), and the inputs provided in the input unit (IU) are stored in the storage means (SM) through said wireless communication means (LCM) every time the stimulator units work.
A person can access the storage means (SM) through a wireless remote storage means (WRM); wherein one can analyze the stored data; The data is processed in form of reports which include various charts such as pie charts, venn diagrams. The report may contain the effect of the device on the patient. It also shows effectiveness of the device on different patients. It shows the history of the recovery of pain in the muscle and reduction of psychological stress, feedback of the device given by the patients. This stimulates the group of nerve cells and activates the reticular activating system & the hypothalamus pituitary axis which induces changes in the brain waves and also cause release of neuro hormones. There is an increase in alpha relative power and reduction is seen relative power of beta & delta frequencies. The stimulation given by the device induces sleep and marked reduction in pain and stress levels is observed. The wireless communication means (LCM) in the device helps the user to

monitor the ongoing recovery from pain and stress which means it monitors the intensity changes are occurring in brain waves, stress levels and pain. The storage means (SM) enables the user to keep a record of patient's history as well as the daily progression in the treatment. Analyzing these records helps the user to know that at what parameters the stimulation is benefitting the patient and if not what changes can be done to achieve improvement in the condition. Through the storage means (SM) the individual can also see the generated records of daily progression and improvement of the condition i.e. reduced stress levels, reduced pain, and quality of sleep.
