A Submerged Entry Nozzle (Sen) For Supplying Liquid Steel From Tundish To Mould
The invention relates to an improved submerged entry nozzle (1) for supplying liquid steel (4) from a tundish to a mould. The bottom portion (5) of the submerged entry nozzle (1) is provided with curved surfaces (3) for reducing the turbulence caused at part (2) during change of direction of fluid flow. The curved surfaces (3) are parabolic or near parabolic in shape.
